Thank you so much for inspiration. I live in Turkey and do my best! I visit the UK and Italy a few times a year and bring back the linen, porcelain, silverware, textiles
Great info on the polishes. I use barkeepers friend on my silver & copper. I’ve used several different kinds in the past, but always come back to barkeepers friend. God bless, John 3:16 🙏
I have not experienced it scratching. I follow the directions and it works great. It also comes in a paste if u would prefer that. Hope it works for u.
This is a beautiful book. I have a lot of silver and you can't beat Wrights Silver Polish for cleaning and shine. I don't have copper but glad to hear of your cleaner. Thanks for sharing.
Just bought it, I am french and always amazed that anything french abroad comes with accordéon music! This is so so old fashioned and cliché. Love your videos though. Bravo
Your copper and silver looks gorgeous! I used to work at Williams Sonoma for about 15 years, on my own copper and in the store for a quick clean, we used Bar Keepers Friend. It works well and doesn’t scratch the items. Thank you for the lesson.✨💕
...Yes, I agree with using the Barkeepers Friend for a quick cleaning , ..as a former Professional Housekeeper, I also used a combination of salt and vinegar ,if there was not access to a Copper ckezner/ polisher. It works, and it is what was used before the invention of other cleaners/ polishes made for Copper. I agree with Miss Mary on the products she prefers, these are what I used as well.
Thank you for sharing this book! Very enjoyable! I agree Wrights turned out better. I Love silver! I like it both tarnished and polished. So much work was put into the pieces they are so pretty to look at and admire. Thank you for showing us the difference I have always used Wrights or Goddard's. I will stick with those. I'm going to try Copper Brill, I never heard of that. Beautiful tea set and copper pots.
Hi Mary! Another beautiful book review. I wish I had known about Copperbrill a few years ago!! It did a beautiful job. I also use Wrights Silver Cream. Mary.... do you every wonder why everything that is so beautiful requires WORK? (lol) Have a wonderful day and I will talk to you in the next one! Hugs! :)
This is the exact book. I was looking for online and I was hoping to get a review. Not only was this review beyond perfect but the video was a masterpiece on elegant living and refined taste your copper pots not beautiful at the end. Thank you so much I will definitely purchase this. You have a new subscriber. ❤
Thanks Mary for another great book review. I really enjoyed watching you clean the silver and copper pieces…love them polished although the trend seems to be tarnished silver and aged copper these days. Looking forward to another….
I have noticed that trend and I do love copper either way, but in the winter there is something about the light that reflects from a polished copper pot that warms the soul. ❤️
Thank you for your book reviews. I enjoy seeing the birds-eye view of these beautiful and informative designer coffee table books. And I love that this book inspires you to do a craft or some task towards the end of your video. I especially enjoyed the cleaning of silver and copper pots and pans. You shared insight on what products work best. I'll be using the Wrights silver polish which you recommended. Love it!
I have to admit I have not bought a Rose Forever bouquet yet. I want to. In a way I want blue roses for my blue bedroom. A Pink bouquet for the pink bedroom, and Two for the tables in the sunroom/dining room. So my problem is deciding what is my favorite to start with, not getting everything all at once! I would love a white bouquet for my white creche I keep out year round. I do not want a simple bouquet. I want the mounded bouquet. Variety is the spice of life? With a collection, one must begin!
You are exactly right. I also think things are appreciated more if they are obtained gradually. That is part of the enjoyment of collecting; the anticipation and excitement of finding "the next one"! We are kindred spirits.
Hello ! I too have a lot of copper, we find it easily here in junk shops and markets. When I find the right shape and quality I send it to a company that makes it like new, polishes the outside and re finishes the inside ready for cooking. It cost about 30 euros per casserole, I found a large gorgeous frying pan in a charity shop for ten euros as someone had painted the handle with thick brown paint (!) so I used stripper and it was easy. The inside was like new. I usually give my extra copper to 'Manor & Maker ' ( who you can find here on YT ). I sent her (Sara) a link to your channel and she loves it, like so many of us. I have a product here in France called 'Eau Japonaise' that takes off the tarnish with almost no effort, it de-oxidises in short. No idea if you can find it under another name but for all tarnish metals it's fantastic. It is smelly and you need gloves. Lovely post again ! xo
Thank you, Stephanie. I will try that. Copper in the U.S. is very expensive. I am always jealous of the great bargains across the pond. I do watch Manor & Maker. I was introduced to them from The Chateau Diaries. They are lovely and fun to watch. That was very generous of you to send them a link to my channel.
Wonderful review and a great demonstration of which products do the best job and offer the best value! Thanks so much!! Beautiful copper cookware you have, I’d love to know who you purchased from or a source you recommend. Thanks again.
I find most of mine at Williams-Sonoma. I have purchased it slowly, as it is not inexpensive. They have several types of copper cookware to choose from. If you are ever in France- take an extra suitcase. It can be purchased for a lot less there. 😁
What a gorgeous book! Thank you for the great review! I will place this book on my book list. I recently received 6 books I purchased from your book review! 🤗 Also, thank you for the metal cleaning tips!
I love the book review as always. However, when it comes to copper I actually prefer the patina of aged copper to the pinkish color of polished copper. So a win for me as I don’t do anything other than wash my copper pots. I love my silver polished and yes Wright’s is the best. Thank you. I always look forward to your book reviews.
You do such fabulous job introducing the books. Including the paste of the video.. 👏 I need a pot holding rack just like the shape that you have. It will be above the door way I hardly open. Please share where you purchased the black half round pot holder. (Looks like a black steel). Thank you.
It is made by Cuisinart. I purchased it several years ago at Sur La Table. I feel certain that you could find it on Amazon or Williams Sonoma. I do love it.
My intention as one of millions of people is to look and understand elegant style and designs although I have no experience in designing my preferences are the best I van find this might take a while for me to do terrific videos lot's of information
Thank you so much for your beautiful and informative videos! I love them all! Would you please tell us what the interior decorating of your beautiful home is called. Thank you!
Thank you for your reply. I love your home and was thinking colonial and traditional. It’s exactly what I love. Also, going to purchase some Copperbrill and I appreciate that tip! Have a great week!

You are so nice by always asking people to please subscribe to your Chanel…..you are one class act….I have shared you with all of my friends…..they love you and your sweet voice….thank you again. Hugs from carolyn from Columbus GA….I just turned 70…..I have a question….why do so called friends come in my home and ask…..is this a store????? You have so many paintings on your walls…….tooooo rude….they are all original art from my grandmother, my kids and my own watercolor paintings……guess I am just toooo sensitive…..still hurts my feelings….thank you
Thanks you so much for your kind comments! I have a lot of thoughts on rude people. Sometimes people are unintentionally rude and I understand this, it can happen to us all at one time or another. If someone is inept once I try to overlook it. If the insults or digs continue I might say, "good décor is subjective, but good manners are not". Also, don't be afraid to tell them that their comments hurt your feelings. If they have any decorum at all they should understand. You are not too sensitive. 💗
Save yourself a lot of energy when cleaning your copper. All you need is salt and a bottle of lemon juice. Pour the salt on the area. Then pour about a tablespoon of lemon juice into the salt. Rub with a paper towel or a cotton cloth. It's magic. For silver, it may be difficult to clean the larger pieces, but this is how I clean my Tiffany silver jewelry. Line a container on the inside completely with aluminum foil. Line the entire bottom with baking soda. Place the silver in the container, on top of the baking soda.pour boiling water into the container. Watch the chemical reaction. Remove in about 60 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes.
I have always used Wrights silver polish. I have tried others but always come back to Wrights. I was not impressed with the book. Too many nudes and i prefer French Countryside decorating. Not so high brow.

Paris style gets me to thinking how that fits perfectly with country style.
You cannot beat the copper polish. Beautiful kitchen 😍
Love the book. Thank you so much 💓
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for inspiration. I live in Turkey and do my best! I visit the UK and Italy a few times a year and bring back the linen, porcelain, silverware, textiles
There was a black lampshade on virtually every lamp in the book! Enjoyed the review & your channel very much.
Very good eye. I did not notice that!
Twinkle brass , copper cleaning kit it's also very good too .
Love the polished copper. Your kitchen is beautiful!
Thank you!
Yes, so inspirational, really beautiful
I feel like a breath of fresh air has come when I see these videos, thank you so much.
This is a very beautiful design book, one of my favorites. A feast for the eyes! Your kitchen is lovely and your copper pots look great
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for another great vlog. I now feel inspired to look at incorporating a French flair into my decor. I liked your experiment too!

just absolutely beautiful! thank you.
I am amazed how you flip through each book with such precision...well done!
It's my one talent! 😜

Just bought it, I am french and always amazed that anything french abroad comes with accordéon music! This is so so old fashioned and cliché. Love your videos though. Bravo
I sort of felt that as I chose the music, but as an American, it is so pleasant to hear that music and dream of the streets of Paris!
@@thetartantopiaryI agree. I absolutely love accordion music French or not. You chose the right music.

I'm trying Bar Keeper's Friend next. Williams Sonoma is one of my favorite places to visit.

I've got to stop watching your videos. You just caused me to order yet another book.
Well, addiction loves company. 🥰🥰🥰 I've been ordering these books like crazy. Amazon will save you a few bucks. 😊

ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS BOOK!!!
I've had it for a of couple of weeks now... I find myself picking it up regularly to flip through the GORGEOUS pages!
I love it too!
I have never tried Copperbrill but I will never give up my Wrights for silver. That is again a beautiful book you presented
Thank you for the polish review! Your copper collection looks beautiful polished as well as unpolished.
Your right. the French don't polish their silver not sure about the copper, but it did look better both ways.
Thank you, I think my grandmother instilled the desire for a polished look.
~What a beautiful book & and so worthy of your review!🌱 ~Again, your kitchen is so charming! 😉
Thank you, I appreciate that. I really should prep more before I film but it is always a spontaneous thing.
Thanks for the comparison of silver and copper cleaners. Very helpful.❤
I use a lemon cut in half and salt to clean copper. The lemon is my scrubber!
So good! Thank you for doing what you do because it brings so much joy!
What a nice thing to say. Thank you for that!

You have inspired me to pull out my Wright’s cream and start polishing! Such a satisfying chore.
I agree- It's oddly satisfying and I find myself in deep thought while doing it. I could solve world issues when polishing silver.
I’ve been wanting another beautiful book. Thanks for giving us such great reviews. Always enjoy your jewelry at the end🥰 thanks, Ruth

Another great review. Your reviews are such a delight and thanks for reminding me that I need to polish my silver😊
I'm getting lots of tips in the comments. ''Bar Keepers Friend'' seems to be a favorite for polishing..
I love Wright's, but I am unfamiliar with Copper Brill. Thank you for the recommendation.
Yes, Wrights has saved my hands and fingers more then once! If you have any copper at all that needs a good shine- Copperbrill is worth the purchase.
I am totally in love!
Thank you so much. Lovely as usual and your go to products are great!
Loved your little experiment at the end! You have great videos!

Lovely as always. The old spit & polish. My copper needs it.
It was difficult to motivate myself, but after I saw the first pot go from brown to a glowing beauty, it helped!
Enjoyed the entire video including the silver and copper cleaning.

Yep, have to admit that many modern products have more marketing in them than real use. $20 more for a tin, fiber cloth and mediocre cleaner.
