@warxombie5417 No problem. Just didn't want anyone else to feel like I did after there was no going back. Luckily, I was still within warranty, so they are sending me a new one.
@@tonyjones835 I have not tried updating the 710. But like they say of its not broken don't try to fix it. So unless there is some specific feature you want that the update will give you I would leave it alone.
@@harrykuo2573 When I spoke with JBL they acted unaware of the issue and offered some troubleshooting which involved a factory reset of the speaker and a reinstall of the app. Then finally they offered a replacement. @@jeevansatav I tried to figure that out too with no luck. I ended up claiming warranty and they sent me a new one on the original firmware. I am fairly sure they just changed the default EQ settings so you can probably just tweak your EQ and get it close to normal.
@@jeevansatav It should not matter since their update broke your speaker from what you say unless it was already like that before the update. Be sure to try the steps I gave before contacting them and let me know. Factory reset the speaker and reinstall the update.

Mine wants me to update. It took away software level equalizer until I update it. Kinda suspect. Straight b.s. if they want to update make it work with newer generation party mode through the app. Or make a damn dongle or adapter that can give the 310 the option.
@@bigccoltonme Not cool. I am not sure when we lost the EQ but I can tell you its 100% not there after the 1.55 update. I think it was an app update that removed it. My 310 speaker turns itself all the way down when I turn it on and when I turn it back up it goes right back down to 0 anyone know a fix for this I’ve tried doing the factory reset
@@Stoner454 The only answer I even found was that for some reason the JBL app was defaulting to USB rather than Bluetooth. Sounds like a Sony speaker now. Curious, did you ask if this sound change is intended or not?
