Hi Nick. Good to see you again. I love the green paint you used, also the interior painting. It looks nicer. I like the way you figure out solutions to the odd things that pop up, like the little bracket to secure the engine cover, brilliant idea. Until the next one, cheers Robert.
Thank you Robert, I wasn’t sure about the paint at first, but it does seem to suit the model😊👍 Glad you enjoyed the video! Take care, all the best, Nick.
Hi Nick great video that metallic green popped what a fantastic colour and i like the idea you had for the little clip on the back the interior look great aswell keep up the good work and stay safe. Ralph
Thank you Ralph, glad you like it 😊👍 I hope all is well with you, how are your code 3 restorations going, do you have anything new on the go? Take care, all the very best, Nick.
Great work Nick, it was well worth putting up with the fiddley bits and a good fix on the rear engine cover, i like the colour too, it really suites the model.
I love the metallic green paintwork Nick, the car looks really good. Watching you take it apart that Matchbox model looked a more simple, straight forward build than Corgi and Dinky. The rear suspension actually looked better to me. All the best. Peter.
Thank you Peter, yes I suppose it was more straightforward than the Dinky and Corgi models, the steering part was made up with hardly any pieces, the rear suspension was a lot stronger than on other models, the only thing I wasn’t really keen on was those engine cover hinges! Take care, all the best, Nick.
G'day Nick, great restoration, another one saved from the scrap heap. For a small model there was plenty of rivets. Good fix on the engine cover 👍🏻. I like the colour choice it really suits. All the very best, stay safe. Cheers Chris 👍🏻🍻🏁🇦🇺🏎🏎
Welcome back. Mad colour and a convoluted assembly, Nick. Thank the gods I only do Brits: that Lambo was tricky. Nice result, though. The green looked good enough to eat!
Whenever I see a Miura, it evokes memories of seeing one being driven in the opening shots of the film 'The Italian Job' As always a great restoration Nick and great colour choice, look forward to the next one..
Looks brilliant nick, good choice of colour, I thought for a second you drilled your finger when that engine jumped out on you. Good fix with the rear hinge ,all the best Martin 👍
Hi Nick,Thoughy enjoyed this video. A great restoration. Love the colour . Lamborghini's are always great looking cars. You have once again turned an ugly ducking into a beautiful model car. Thanks for your video Nick. Have a great day Austin
Thank you very much Austin, I’m glad you enjoyed it, I wasn’t sure about the colour at first but it seems to suit the model quite well in the end.😊👍 Take care, all the Best, Nick.
Hi Nick what a wonderful job on this, we like the matchbox king size. We had not seen one of these before and some of the details really make a difference, especially the wheels and the engine cover. Best wishes from Ian b & family.
Thank you Ian, glad you like it, Matchbox did make some very nice models in their king size range, this one was nice because it had the rubber tyres, I am not a great fan of the plastic tyres or the wheels they put on the speedkings models! Take care, all the best to you and your Family, Nick.
Is the early Fordson tractor at 2min 18sec a future restoration project or do you prefer to leave it as a venerable artefact of agricultural history just as it is? Lovely job on the Lamborghini although personally I feel that metallic paints on Dinky size models do not look quite right as the metal flakes are too large for such small models. Your upgrade of the interior was a great improvement on the original.
Thank you David, the old Fordson is my Brother’s, he bought it a few years ago but it is in a state, the engine is seized and you can see the block has been cracked at some time and patched up, the back wheels are all locked up too, whilst it wouldn’t be impossible to restore, it possibly wouldn’t be worth while, so it will be kept as spares as my Brother already has one of these Fordson which he restored in the 1970’s. I do agree with you entirely about the metallic paint on this scale of models, some colours don’t show it up so much, but this green really does seem to show up bigger looking metal flakes! Take care, all the best, Nick.
Thank you William, the next one is done, I just have to put all the clips together and edit it all, takes nearly as long as the restoration lol😉😊👍. Take care, all the best, Nick.
Great transformation and lovely detailing.
Thank you Keith😊👍
