- This video shows how to correct a common problem with later Samsung TV's, where the factory remote will not control the volume and/or mute. This fix is unique in that as of this date, no other user support site, factory support, or blog, has posted this information (that we can see).
I struggled for weeks to correct the fixed sound on my Samsung. Your solution solved the problem in less than a few minutes. Too pleased.
Thank you so much! I’m having a fish fry today and moved my tv into the garage and this volume stopped working out of nowhere! After trying a few troubleshooting things that didn’t work, this video saved me!
july 2021---i bought a nearly new samsung smart tv at a yard sale for practically nothing.. the owner said it had no audio, and i found he was right... when i got home i applied this remote on-switch procedure and, it immediately fixed the problem.. wow!! thanks.
I have an old Samsung TV. Anyway I switched to my Roku device and to my surprise it worked. I still bookmarked your solution. I'm tired now cause it's late I need sleep.
David!!! This is amazing. I had little hope that I would be able to fix my TV having no volume. Holding the power button down until it restarted did the trick. I’m so happy!!! Thank you ♥️
THANK YOU! I tried everything and your suggestion WORKED!! I threw away all the other devices and I hope this continues to solve the problem.
Thank you! I'm in a VRBO and you just saved me from zero volume! LOL
Thanks a lot. I was struggling for days to get the sound fixed.
it worked!! I've subscribed to your channel, thanks for the simple fix
This is great...I've been going around in circles between my samsung remote and the new fios voice remote that doesn't control volume at ALL...the sound bar just goes up and down doing nothing. There's some kind of funky interference if I use both remotes it knocks the sound out again and I have to start over resetting the samsung remote.
Thankyou! Worked 🎉
Also, go into Samsung TV settings and disable the Anynet+ that is under the External Device Manager. This defeats remote data coming through the HDMI cable.
You're a life saver bro!🎉
I had the direct tv person out no volume moved hdm1 to hdm3 and got love volume worked hope this will work for you on a Samsung smart t v.
You doing more talking than showing us what to do .
I love you!! You’ve saved my night
Go straight to the point .
Thanks a lot! It fixed my problem😅
all you have to do is hold down the power button for about 5 seconds and it'll reset the volume itself
Haven't watched because I fixed it a few seconds into the video myself as it happened. I couldn't get sound on a second hand samsung TV I bought. I went to 'menu' , 'sound' and saw 'Mode' and had to set it to 'standard'. Previous guy had it set as a pc monitor I think
This video was absolutely zero help..none ..
It worked thanks
Thank you very much Dave !
I didnt show the issue on the TV, because the problem is simple:. Cannot control volume. Volume stays at one level, regardless what buttons you choose. Since menus look different on different models, showing one type of menu is useless. Just listen carefully, and you will see how easy it is. This is also just a reference to what Samsung explains about resetting TV, using the remote power button. Really it is just about holding down the power button on the remote long enough. That is the fix. The info is just helpful tips. Hard to show the logic of all these tips.
yea I wish it was that easy.. still doesn't work! Not buying another Samsung that is for sure
Did this and it didn’t work for me either
I have a 55in. Samsung with volume gone for second time.
When watching Comcast Cable my sound and video are out of sync. This issue doesn't occur if I'm streaming shows....only when watching through the cable box. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much!
Thank you
Thank you so munch
Thanks it works!
Thank you I got it
Do you know the answer to the issue with the playback of MP4 video file’s audio compatibility with Samsung TVs..??? I estimate a 30% incompatibility with the MP4 audio and new Samsung TVs…
Rf😊
Takes him. 8. Minutes, Blah. Blah. Just. Facts
How to fix Samsung error 107
it’s still not a fix. how would you use a fire tv remote? might issue happened a within an hour of using a fire tv stick.
Yes, it can happen again. I have had to reset my TV this way several times. It helps to isolate it from all smart devices, etc. However, there is an ID wire in the hdmi cable than connects cable and satellite boxes, all TV sticks and boxes (Roku, Firestick, Apple, etc.). This ID wire tells the boxes what kind of TV you have, so the boxes can give it the right video information. But, the TV can also send info to the TV. ANY TIME the TV gets a signal that it thinks is remote control information, it can change the way it responds to ALL remote controls and signals. It is a Samsung flaw. It gets confused. The best solution is to try to isolate the TV from everything but its own remote. At least until Samsung figures out how to correct their firmware and sends an update to your TV. Sad, and sorry, but it is what it is.
Hey dude nect time just show us dont talk so mucb 😂
You talk too much.
Mine don’t work either
this guy talks too much
Doesn't do anything
I forgot all about that.
A better way, unplug the power too your Samsung smart tv. Wait 60 seconds restore the power, turn on tv, problem solved .

He talks too much he don't show the problem like another guy told me he had his fix it
my head is spinning oh boy!!
The SAMSUNG remote has NEVER been the primary remote I've used because I'm on an Amazon Fire Stick connected through HDMI and that remote WAS working fine until recently. The default Samsung remote is the newer model that came with my 8000 series 43" TV. No number keys and volume and channel keys are both SINGULAR keys that push UP (from bottom) and push DOWN (from top) and MUTE which would be a single click straight down. Still giving me, 🤬
How do I remove mute from Samsung TV remote
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Thank you
You talk too much
This worked!!!!!😁 Thank you sir!
Thank you so much!!!
* ADDED INFO: Also, disconnect your TV from the internet! Yes, don't use the Smart features. The TV can get commands from other wifi devices (like hubs, wifi remotes, etc.), Through your internet connection (from your local network).
I have an older 2007 type lE26R81. It worked for me! With this difference, all I had to do was hold to down the power button for about 10 seconds and it did reset the volume itself. There was no switch off and restart after holding down. Solved!
My Samsung tv has low power mode so if I turn it off it will take days to turn back on… now my tv has no sound
you can also reset the smart hub in the support settings
Thank you
Wow! Just received this Samsung Smart TV two days ago. Set it all up and...that low volume problem. Had an old Samsung remote, followed your instructions and voilà. So happy. Thank you.
I reset the smart hub and fixed the problem. the original remote and cable remote both work.
I just did that today, I'm hoping that resolves the stuck volume issue
That works but not for long.
The problem will return
Thank you
Am having the same problem.
My remote works but the volume is almost normal at 100 my normal setting you can’t hear it
Change the audio setting from Normal to Amplify. It will boost the volume 30 to 50 percent.
@@davidcampbell7329 He David, when I turn to Amplify it seems my sound gets distorted. Anything I play through my 55" JS8000 HDMI hub connected by optical to my AV sounds low in volume. If I use my Internet Radio in the AV Receiver the sound is strong at -25dB, but Netflix, Cable, Apple TV connected to my Samsung Hub all sound low, even at -15dB. I can hardly hear the difference in volume going from -20 to -15, as another issue. I can connect my devices straight into my AV as my HDMI out connector is broken.
Dr hi
Thanks, I had tried resetting the sound and it worked once or twice but never again. This was driving me nuts. You saved the day plus there's the entertainment value!
