A diver's guide to Lady Elliot Island

Underwater is where the true magic lies on Lady Elliot Island. This highly protected green zone is home to more than 1,200 marine species including turtles, dolphins, humpback whales and a significant population of manta rays.
To see them yourself all you need is the snorkel, mask and fins you’re handed on arrival. The snorkel trail on the eastern side of the island takes you past Manta Bommie, a well-frequented cleaning station. For divers, there are 20 incredible sites to explore.
