Loved the surprise at the end. Never seen a 69 like that, GBrF are to be congratulated. Lovely video footage of the day.👍👍
Yeah ..... look at the crowds that the 69 attracted !!!
Fabulous, thanks.
Thanks Mike 👍
Brilliant. Looks like you had a great day. Some cracking locos there . 👍😎
Great day out Ian - Highly recommended 👍👌
Great collection of locos and coaches, just stunning and also very well filmed, thanks for sharing👌👍Cheers. John
Thanks John 👍
Fantastic 😊
Great 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
It’s very difficult to have a favourite diesel loco but I am very partial to class 33’s and D6515 was in beautiful condition .
That was my favourite also - Stunning livery 👍
The peaks I remember when I use to crew them as a secondman from Sheffield to St Pancras on the master Cutler good days sadly gone forever.
The diesel looked lovely btw did u see Tornado922 the RUclipsr there one day
I didn’t unfortunately - I’m not sure who I’d be looking for there! I’ll take a look at their channel.
Did you record many clips of the 69 double headed?
Hi Mike, The 69 and 33 double-headed on the day after I visited.
What, no steam?
Just doesn't have any of the magic of steam. Tin boxes that make some unappealing rumbling noises.
If you use to work them in BR days like I did you may think differently.
Shame you have that opinion!
For many of us, most of these engines were the first generation of diesels produced after the end of steam.
And they are iconic and well loved!
I myself appreciate steam engines, but wouldn't belittle them as they too are iconic and well loved too.
Try and be a bit more broad minded as the world is big enough to accommodate everyone's likes...
Diesels have magic when they are roaring like beasts or growling like a buff man.
