Happy New Year Gary! Greetings from Iowa, USA and 10 inches of snow! I'm glad you got your shoulder fixed-I know its been bothering you for years. Cheers! Nancy
Very nicely done Gary! Searching for treasures around our Montana homestead is one of our family's favorite pastimes. I hope you find something exciting!
made one of those by cutting a 3 inch dia pipe on a 10 inch taper. used a broken shovel handle for handle. Split the end, drilled holes and bolted it on. Sheath was from an old missing machete. Worked great.
Cool tool, Gary. I thought about making a detecting digger out of a piece of angle. Your tool steel digger is surely lighter and stronger than one made out of mild steel. Great job. 👍 Glad to hear your shoulder is doing well. Cheers! Whipple
i would quite like some flint , there is none in wales i asked a geologist, not even in flintshire lol i do a spot of flint knaping now and then but last stuff i got was when i worked as a bailif in kent/ london.
Just curious; what did they do to fix your shoulder? In the past year, I had total reverse (where the ball & socket positions are switched) shoulder joint replacements on both sides. At least now I can put on T-shirts and comb my hair without difficulty. I love some of the expressions you use: "worth its weight in horsesh*t" 😂
Glad you got your shoulder fixed

I think that the good shovels are made from railroad tracks 😎🥳

I could send you some but I’m not sure which is the good stuff. I think there’s a lot of chert.
Gary, what detector do you use?. I want one to find stray arrows and bought a cheap one which is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard.
Minelab ctx3030
@@garyhuston thank you 👍

Basically my rotator cuff. One tendon was ripped off the bone and was screwed back on, and ruptures to several others.
@@garyhuston glad to hear you're improving.
Very nice. Did you detect with it yet? Any good finds?
I have and it works perfectly. I haven’t found anything exciting just a few musket balls and a few battered coins, nothing very old.
@@garyhuston I would love to metal detect. I’ve watch videos of people pulling out Roman coins over there. That’s nuts
