@@mr8883 He was basically a man dreamed up by the fayth(spirits of people who gave up their life for Yevon and became aeons, like that boy in the beginning), the fayth needed someone to put an end to Yu Yevon so they could finally rest and sent Tidus as the one to do it. Problem is, in doing so, Tidus would also cease to exist. So they defeated Yu Yevon, Tidus disappeared and Yuna comes across a sphere of a man that looks like Tidus but it isn't him. Long story short, the guy that looks like him is a bad guy and as a reward for defeating him, the fayth bring Tidus back into existence

Even with 100% there are very specific requirements needed to unlock this ended. Me as a 14 year old playing this invested HUNDREDS of hours and numerous new game+ and never got it until I was already in my late teens and following vague guides on GameFaqs
The best part of this whole scene, and what gets me every time, is the fact that when he whistled... she came running. Just like she promised. That's love right there. Nothing was going to keep her from keeping her promise. Beautiful

I think the cutest thing about yuna in this game is the fact that she actually based her hair style and her outfit on Tidus. Not only that but also the same combat style he had and the sword he used in FFX-1 (if you use her warrior dressphere) and her colar is also a symbol of Tidus. The way she did this things was so adorable in my opinion and really shows how much she loved him. I guess doing these things she could still have a part of him with her forever
I never played through FFX2 but played the hell out of FFX when it came out, seeing this for the first time after literally 20 years I feel like I appreciate it way more than if I had seen it back then and you summed it up it so well. Yuna is so endearing, like the definition of it.
The symbol on her chest is the logo of the Zanarkand Abes, same as Jecht’s giant chest tattoo. Same as the giant flaming symbol inside of sin while fighting jecht in his final aeon form. Also tidus’ necklace.
I cried hard when Final Fantasy X ended, it was just so powerful when I played it as a kid and today. I still play it every year because it means that much to me still. When I got to play Final Fantasy X-2 and came across this ending I felt all my emotions come out once again. Seeing old love blossom even when it’s expected to not last yanked at my heart strings.

@@agipson101 guess there's now a 2 year age difference between him and Yuna then, when he returns. Considering he seems to physically be exactly the same as he when he left, I guess mobius was a way of trying to depict that he gained some wisdom in between and wasn't just in stasis so it could feel like both him and Yuna had personal growth. I don't think it's a huge deal though (their age difference) as Tidus matured quite a bit by the end of X

I now see why she ran to him and hugged him instead of anything else. (Spoiler) In the ffx ending she ran to him on the airship and ran right through him. She stood there on the floor and told him she loved him. Now in this ending she ran towards him, and was able to hug him without falling. I adore this game, and wish they made a ffx-3 but, I'm scared they would ruin everything both ffx and ffx2 built up. Yuna and Tidus deserve this happy ending, after all they have gone through.

As much of a bittersweet ending X had... even before they made the sequel the after credits tease made you think something happy was involved. It makes you want to finish X-2 right even with its flaws because X sold you on Tidus and Yuna’s connection.
This should have not been "the perfect ending". This should have been "the ending". I bet there are people who played both games and never knew how it really ended...

Personally to this day I believe that the fayth actually took the love between him and Yuna and used it to bring him back and make him real so they could be together again it truly is the perfect ending (the ending).
Letting the player choose the name of the main character in a game with full voice acting can make things pretty awkward sometimes. "You want to see him?" "Him?!" "Yes, him. You know, that guy. The one we both obviously know we're talking about but can't say who he is." "Oh yeah, him! He was great."
For me that scene works perfectly well without the name. It builds anticipation, because you know exactly who they mean but you still wanna see it really be him.
Ending with Yuna standing over the cliff, the very same cliff where Tidus stood over in the first game, signified this as a perfect conclusion for me. Everything they went through together led them back to where it all started, and it’s beautiful. So emotional.
Thank god for this ending. I cried my eyes out as a kid when I finished X. Lucky for me X-2 was out during that time so I played it and saw the ending when he came back. My poor kid heart wouldn’t have been able to handle it otherwise haha (This end credit scene is new tho. Thank you for uploading this!)
Baconpancakes - finished FF7 when I was 13. I remember the throng of fan-sites, especially for Aeris. There's a reason the FF7 remake is a full scale overhaul. That game changed everything for the FF series, for RPGs, and the entire game industry. Phantasy star tried it twice with Nei in PS2 and Alis in PS4. Aeris knocked it out of the ballpark and into the neighboring city.

X's ending was by far one of the best endings in video game history. X-2 was a fun experience too, but it's all about the gameplay for me (the dressphere/garment grid system was amazing). I play X for the story.
Auron was the most chill character in any Final Fantasy game. He had great foresight and held a lot of faith in Tidus and Yuna. Dude doesn’t need to be there. It’s thanks to him that Tidus was able to meet Yuna and put a stop to Sin. A dream conjured by Sin destroyed Sin.
After all these years… these two games made me feel something again. X is my favorite game of all time TO THIS DAY! It’s ending made me cry while I was in the 7th grade and being a young teen, nothing made me cry other extreme physical pain. You could feel Yuna’s heart being crushed and Tidus accepting his fate that he was not meant to stay in hers. The kicker at the end gave that glimmer of hope that he would return and we’d get to make our own happy ending made me so happy back then. Fast forward to x-2 perfect/platinum ending and my heart grew 10x’s that day! Seeing a friggin video game couple finally reunited after all the labors and time involved made me believe in love. Fast forward to college and I met my Yuna. No joke she was a spitting image of her and my brain couldn’t believe it. However… reality sets in, real life is different, but for those years with her I always imagined waking up in the ocean and having her run to me. God bless these two games for all the memories and all the feels. Thank you!
I always liked the parallels of the two games beginning and endings. 10 begins with Tidus standing in the same place Yuna is standing at the end of 10-2. They’ve come full circle.

Yep and oddly enough the entire first game is Tidus telling a player created character from a mobile game the story of what happened to him in X… actually it’s really good.. it tells the story of what Tidus was doing between X and X-2
@@TheCookieCrewCV it’s a game called Mobius FF or FF Mobius and the event is specifically called A Dream Within a Dream… you can actually see the whole story on RUclips without needing to play it but the person Tidus talks to is a player created character who is chosen to be the Warrior of Light for that world.. Tidus is lost and not sure where to go after the events of X so he contemplates if he should find a way home or become a warrior of light too
Looking back at both theses spectacular games after twenty years… it’s story is still a gem to so many who hold it close to hearts. But like all fantasy’s it’s never final because new stories are being made every day, but this one is and always will be a root deeper while the rest takes in the world and blooms over the promise of tomorrow.
Don't read the novel or the audio book then, you're gonna get depressed again it's hot garbage even the developers said that they didn't go well because they made them incomplete and didn't explain the things like they wanted to. just stick with the ending of the two games like me.
Yuna was so shy to let people know her feeling about Tidus ( she asked him to go back to camp first after kissing in the lake ) , but now she loves to show everybody how happy she can be with him ~ I guess that’s why Tidus said “ you’ve changed “ . So happy to see them together finally ~ I love this game not just a game , but a live story we’ve involved ~
Just finished the HD of this game- with this ending. It took forever to grind through, but man was it worth it. I still cry my eyes out in the end scene of X, and I hadn't played X-2 before now (I never bought the X-2 when I was young). Knowing that the tragic love story actually had a final twist is just heart-warming. Yeah, it's kind of strange being that Tidus was just a dream, but even so I always hoped that he would come back somehow. Some games age so badly, these however... they're still fantastic.
Final fantasy x will forever be my fav. It's my childhood and also for me the most epic story ever. I love all the characters and their voices. Especially tidus bc he always was the one who didn't care about anything and followed no rules and also bc he was a childish joyful character. It was amazing playing him.
I never think this is just dream as in our real world. The fayth dream to rebuild zanarkan and the people and they tired. I think they make alternate realm with their power. Thats why they tired.
I AM glad that they got together (bittersweet endings are fine, but in the end I always wanna see couples I really like be together), but the execution could've been better. The end to X made me much more emotional, and here it just ends on a screen with Yuna just standing there, alone on a rock. I just don't like the execution, because it's still ambiguous, whether Tidus disappeared there and then again or not. Either go all the way and have them side by side before fading to black or leave Tidus dead for good.
He was already brought back at the end of ffx as thanks for finally allowing the fayth to pass. this whole premise of a hidden ending makes no sense. Now if the bahamut faith approaches her at the end of ten and says cryptically there is a way to see him again. Instead of the hidden ffx ending. It would make sense. 2nd gripe yuna in both games never says his name ever. He constantly says hers but there is never any reciprocation. Sorry for misspelling the autocorrect is annoying.
Too bad this ending is insanely hard, if you dont follow a strict path in the game you can mess things up and miss the 100%, this is really annoying. I'm playing this on Vita and gave up from the start.
I used to give FFX-2 a hard time being a big big fan of FFX... and thinking the sequel didn't match upto the original. The truth really... nothing matches upto FFX. As a standalone game FFX-2 is still better than most other games I've played, nearly better than mostly all of them. Thankyou to the producers of both FFX and FFX-2, you made my childhood part of what it was, and it was some of the greatest moments I could experience as a kid...
I sorta wish x-2 had an epilogue chapter with Tidus back, where you could go around with him in the celsius and show him around Spira, it would have been a fun way of seeing him meet all the characters again and how he reacts to the changes

I got the ending of ff X spoiled by watching a video on outside xbox. So i just watched the full ending and it made me sad even though i havent played it. But then saw this video right below......in short the past 5 minutes have been an emotional rollercoaster.
Same thing happened for me with this and also ff15 where I spoiled the ending but then found the novel that covered cancelled dlcs where most got a happy ending and consider that as the canon ending.
I want FFX-3. Tidus and Yuna on a journey to make him real. A secret extended part of Spira hidden behind the mysterious farplane . Where the real Aeons exist and Tidus & Yuna learns the true summoning abilities (summons returns xD). And the rebuild of Zanarkand, Tidus gotta show Yuna his home one day. And of course , more Blitzball!!! (FFX blitzball version, not the lame FFX-2 blitzball version). Also wanted the story of Braska, Jecht and Auron. More City/areas to explore, some forgotten Aeons aswell, unknown for FFX cause Sin destroys all of it during their journey. Jecht adventure could be the first threat to Yu Yewon but failed at the end so Braska summons the final Aeon. To bad im just dreaming xD

When I originally played FFX-2, I was at 99% and I kept playing this game over and over and over and over again trying to figure out why I can't get that blasted 100% ending. I gave up - 5 years later I decided to just watch the perfect ending on this channel. I have to say - this is the ending we all wanted for Yuna and Tidus. Man, it'd be great if a FFX-3 came out and we got the gang back again! What got me teary eyed was seeing Yuna embrace Tidus without going through him and falling to the ground heartbroken. Best moment from this storyline.

I have to say, FFX says perfectly on his own and this sequel wasn't really necessary, but I'm glad the creators gave us the option to have this ending. It's such a sweet reunion for them, and very well deserved.

Final fantasy 13 lightning returns was pretty satisfying ending to the horrendousness of XIII-2. the developers had erections for lightning so they couldn't just freaking leave 13 (a master piece in story telling) alone... but at least this way vanille and fang are freed from their crystal prisons I guess.

There's something off with this ending. That last moment... it looks like Yuna is standing alone up there. A weird choice of a scene, with Tidus staying hidden out of view. Hard to imagine this wasn't done without some specific intention. It seems like a hint to a darker fate.

@@michaelhall5447 As a fan of X, if you manage to really get into X2 with a little patience, you will be rewarded. The great lore surrounding Spira only really makes sense with X2 - and vice versa. Not everything in this game is as it seems.
I was so sad when I finished X, it was the first real game I ever beat (that wasn't a kid game) and I loved all of the characters. I remember I had a huge crush on Yuna, The ending made 7 year old me cry like a baby. For some reason I didn't know that there was a 2nd game at the time. And X2 had already been out for years before I even beat X(about 4 years to be exact). When I learned that X2 existed I did not leave my parents alone until I had it.
rewatching this scene hits me different after seeing Tidus's journey back at mobius. The aeons really helped them get back together!! Tidus was stuck at palamecia. Yojimbo and Valfore were the important characters that helped Tidus come back to spira. Yuna got help from Bahamut. So in the end it is pretty much canon.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate a couple without a love triangle.

Tidus spends all of FFX trying to get back home, so when he tells Yuna that he's home. I was so moved.
And we spend so many hours to get the perfect final in FFX-2 🥲

I now see why she ran to him and hugged him instead of anything else.
(Spoiler) In the ffx ending she ran to him on the airship and ran right through him. She stood there on the floor and told him she loved him. Now in this ending she ran towards him, and was able to hug him without falling. I adore this game, and wish they made a ffx-3 but, I'm scared they would ruin everything both ffx and ffx2 built up. Yuna and Tidus deserve this happy ending, after all they have gone through.

As much of a bittersweet ending X had... even before they made the sequel the after credits tease made you think something happy was involved. It makes you want to finish X-2 right even with its flaws because X sold you on Tidus and Yuna’s connection.
This should have not been "the perfect ending". This should have been "the ending". I bet there are people who played both games and never knew how it really ended...

Letting the player choose the name of the main character in a game with full voice acting can make things pretty awkward sometimes.

For me that scene works perfectly well without the name. It builds anticipation, because you know exactly who they mean but you still wanna see it really be him.

Ending with Yuna standing over the cliff, the very same cliff where Tidus stood over in the first game, signified this as a perfect conclusion for me. Everything they went through together led them back to where it all started, and it’s beautiful. So emotional.

Baconpancakes - finished FF7 when I was 13. I remember the throng of fan-sites, especially for Aeris. There's a reason the FF7 remake is a full scale overhaul. That game changed everything for the FF series, for RPGs, and the entire game industry.
Phantasy star tried it twice with Nei in PS2 and Alis in PS4.
Aeris knocked it out of the ballpark and into the neighboring city.

X's ending was by far one of the best endings in video game history.
X-2 was a fun experience too, but it's all about the gameplay for me (the dressphere/garment grid system was amazing). I play X for the story.

Auron was the most chill character in any Final Fantasy game. He had great foresight and held a lot of faith in Tidus and Yuna. Dude doesn’t need to be there. It’s thanks to him that Tidus was able to meet Yuna and put a stop to Sin. A dream conjured by Sin destroyed Sin.
After all these years… these two games made me feel something again. X is my favorite game of all time TO THIS DAY! It’s ending made me cry while I was in the 7th grade and being a young teen, nothing made me cry other extreme physical pain. You could feel Yuna’s heart being crushed and Tidus accepting his fate that he was not meant to stay in hers. The kicker at the end gave that glimmer of hope that he would return and we’d get to make our own happy ending made me so happy back then.
Fast forward to x-2 perfect/platinum ending and my heart grew 10x’s that day! Seeing a friggin video game couple finally reunited after all the labors and time involved made me believe in love.
Fast forward to college and I met my Yuna. No joke she was a spitting image of her and my brain couldn’t believe it. However… reality sets in, real life is different, but for those years with her I always imagined waking up in the ocean and having her run to me. God bless these two games for all the memories and all the feels. Thank you!
I always liked the parallels of the two games beginning and endings. 10 begins with Tidus standing in the same place Yuna is standing at the end of 10-2. They’ve come full circle.

BUT so many ppl are pissed about KH3’s story and gameplay that I’m sure most people won’t buy the game and would rather watch spoilers and endings on RUclips. Remember that KH3 starting at $80 on amazon and then dropped after three weeks to a couple cents less than $20 and that wasn’t just time’s fault...

@@TheCookieCrewCV it’s a game called Mobius FF or FF Mobius and the event is specifically called A Dream Within a Dream… you can actually see the whole story on RUclips without needing to play it but the person Tidus talks to is a player created character who is chosen to be the Warrior of Light for that world.. Tidus is lost and not sure where to go after the events of X so he contemplates if he should find a way home or become a warrior of light too

Looking back at both theses spectacular games after twenty years… it’s story is still a gem to so many who hold it close to hearts. But like all fantasy’s it’s never final because new stories are being made every day, but this one is and always will be a root deeper while the rest takes in the world and blooms over the promise of tomorrow.

Don't read the novel or the audio book then, you're gonna get depressed again it's hot garbage even the developers said that they didn't go well because they made them incomplete and didn't explain the things like they wanted to. just stick with the ending of the two games like me.
Yuna was so shy to let people know her feeling about Tidus ( she asked him to go back to camp first after kissing in the lake ) , but now she loves to show everybody how happy she can be with him ~ I guess that’s why Tidus said “ you’ve changed “ .

Just finished the HD of this game- with this ending. It took forever to grind through, but man was it worth it.
I still cry my eyes out in the end scene of X, and I hadn't played X-2 before now (I never bought the X-2 when I was young).
Knowing that the tragic love story actually had a final twist is just heart-warming.
Yeah, it's kind of strange being that Tidus was just a dream, but even so I always hoped that he would come back somehow.
Some games age so badly, these however... they're still fantastic.

Final fantasy x will forever be my fav. It's my childhood and also for me the most epic story ever. I love all the characters and their voices. Especially tidus bc he always was the one who didn't care about anything and followed no rules and also bc he was a childish joyful character. It was amazing playing him.
I never think this is just dream as in our real world. The fayth dream to rebuild zanarkan and the people and they tired. I think they make alternate realm with their power. Thats why they tired.
FFX and X-2 will always be the best final fantasies with the greatest stories. Nothing can take this from my childhood.

I AM glad that they got together (bittersweet endings are fine, but in the end I always wanna see couples I really like be together), but the execution could've been better. The end to X made me much more emotional, and here it just ends on a screen with Yuna just standing there, alone on a rock.
I just don't like the execution, because it's still ambiguous, whether Tidus disappeared there and then again or not. Either go all the way and have them side by side before fading to black or leave Tidus dead for good.
He was already brought back at the end of ffx as thanks for finally allowing the fayth to pass. this whole premise of a hidden ending makes no sense. Now if the bahamut faith approaches her at the end of ten and says cryptically there is a way to see him again. Instead of the hidden ffx ending. It would make sense. 2nd gripe yuna in both games never says his name ever. He constantly says hers but there is never any reciprocation. Sorry for misspelling the autocorrect is annoying.

I used to give FFX-2 a hard time being a big big fan of FFX... and thinking the sequel didn't match upto the original.
The truth really... nothing matches upto FFX.
As a standalone game FFX-2 is still better than most other games I've played, nearly better than mostly all of them.
Thankyou to the producers of both FFX and FFX-2, you made my childhood part of what it was, and it was some of the greatest moments I could experience as a kid...

I sorta wish x-2 had an epilogue chapter with Tidus back, where you could go around with him in the celsius and show him around Spira, it would have been a fun way of seeing him meet all the characters again and how he reacts to the changes

I got the ending of ff X spoiled by watching a video on outside xbox. So i just watched the full ending and it made me sad even though i havent played it. But then saw this video right below......in short the past 5 minutes have been an emotional rollercoaster.
Same thing happened for me with this and also ff15 where I spoiled the ending but then found the novel that covered cancelled dlcs where most got a happy ending and consider that as the canon ending.

I want FFX-3. Tidus and Yuna on a journey to make him real. A secret extended part of Spira hidden behind the mysterious farplane . Where the real Aeons exist and Tidus & Yuna learns the true summoning abilities (summons returns xD). And the rebuild of Zanarkand, Tidus gotta show Yuna his home one day. And of course , more Blitzball!!! (FFX blitzball version, not the lame FFX-2 blitzball version).
Also wanted the story of Braska, Jecht and Auron. More City/areas to explore, some forgotten Aeons aswell, unknown for FFX cause Sin destroys all of it during their journey. Jecht adventure could be the first threat to Yu Yewon but failed at the end so Braska summons the final Aeon.

When I originally played FFX-2, I was at 99% and I kept playing this game over and over and over and over again trying to figure out why I can't get that blasted 100% ending. I gave up - 5 years later I decided to just watch the perfect ending on this channel. I have to say - this is the ending we all wanted for Yuna and Tidus. Man, it'd be great if a FFX-3 came out and we got the gang back again! What got me teary eyed was seeing Yuna embrace Tidus without going through him and falling to the ground heartbroken. Best moment from this storyline.

Final fantasy 13 lightning returns was pretty satisfying ending to the horrendousness of XIII-2. the developers had erections for lightning so they couldn't just freaking leave 13 (a master piece in story telling) alone... but at least this way vanille and fang are freed from their crystal prisons I guess.

There's something off with this ending. That last moment... it looks like Yuna is standing alone up there. A weird choice of a scene, with Tidus staying hidden out of view. Hard to imagine this wasn't done without some specific intention. It seems like a hint to a darker fate.
I really hope they do a FFX remake. This is still my favourite story ever told in a videogame 🔥

@@michaelhall5447 As a fan of X, if you manage to really get into X2 with a little patience, you will be rewarded. The great lore surrounding Spira only really makes sense with X2 - and vice versa. Not everything in this game is as it seems.

I was so sad when I finished X, it was the first real game I ever beat (that wasn't a kid game) and I loved all of the characters. I remember I had a huge crush on Yuna, The ending made 7 year old me cry like a baby. For some reason I didn't know that there was a 2nd game at the time. And X2 had already been out for years before I even beat X(about 4 years to be exact). When I learned that X2 existed I did not leave my parents alone until I had it.

Tidus was stuck at palamecia. Yojimbo and Valfore were the important characters that helped Tidus come back to spira.
Yuna got help from Bahamut.
So in the end it is pretty much canon.
