  • This was one incredible hunt. Definiteley one of my most rewarding. After making a bad shot on this bear. I checked the cameras the next day after I went in to search for the bear again. What I discovered was after the intitial hit he returned to the site with his sow 16 hours later like nothing had happened! I was blown away, I mean that arrow may have been high but the exit looked low enough I wasnt sure he would make it. It just goes to show how tough they really are! I knew he was coming in and If I could time it right I would get another chance! I also knew I better make the next one count!!

    How a bear can take a hit like that and walk around for a week like nothing happen. Amazing animal. You think you would see a wound from the earlier shot. But if you watch the 1st video the shot look like it hit muscle and fatty tissue. No where near the vitals.

      big D fan: Come on folks. Giant chocolate phased black bears like that don't come along every day. It would be amazing to have two different monsters like that following the same sow in the same area within a week, and he has them on game camera. The first shot wasn't lethal, and bears are tough as hell.

    • @FondelMikeRotch
      @FondelMikeRotch 4 года назад

    @ 6:46 he gave you his side.. you hesitated!, you need to quiet that bow up, You are going to have more missed shots because you will be hurrying because your afraid the noise is going to spook the target.

    I've enjoyed your videos but you're hunt should have ended as soon as you stuck the first one and never recovered it. That's when a true sportsman sucks it up and goes home. This is much darker and not the same bear that you shot in part 1.

    • @rrbernhardt5810
      @rrbernhardt5810 6 лет назад +1

      Rick Davis: I suspect the laws in Saskatchewan are like the laws here in Alaska and allow you to take multiple bears per season. Here, residents can take three bears per year in most areas, so no need to end your season after taking (or wounding) one. Hats off to him for continuing the hunt and passing on other bears until the wounded one returned.

      @@ambienceization
      I don't know about the hunting laws in Canada, but throughout the states, if you hit and animal and can't recover it, your hunt is over. You failed to track the animal you shot and lighting conditions aren't excuse. You shouldn't shoot if its going to make it difficult to track. How many can't you shoot and not recover? Ten? Twelve?

    • @ambienceization
      @ambienceization Год назад

      @@rickdavis2235 He literally said in the video the bear was back at the bait 16 hours later. 16 is less than 24. Like less than a day later he's on the hoof at the bait. You following so far? No one shoots to make it difficult or less difficult to track. My guess is you're no bow hunter or one that has ever had much success. Sometimes shit happens when you release an arrow! Got dam! all these arm chair hunters pretending they never made a mistake in their life are completely full of shit!
