What's the best Hotel to book if I want somewhere affordable?
Should I book on or off the beach?
In this video I reveal my favorite hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Gallery One DoubleTree Suites.
Pros:
Location - 10 minute walk from the beach, but still on the water. Lot of restaurants within walking distance. 7 Miles from the airport.
Price - $150/night after tax and no resort fee (which you see a lot of if the hotel is on the beach)
Rooms - All suites. Very Clean. Spacious. Quiet. Great patio space.
Property - Nice pool. Large outdoor space overlooking the water.
Cons:
No food on property at time of filming (covid).
Not a great fitness area.

recent stayed here and it was nice location. The only negative thing I would say is that I didn't like the $41 a day for parking fee.
Completely agree. Unfortunately, everywhere around the hotel has similar prices for. Parking, so you’re stuck with it unless you move further out.

Why at night?
What reasonable hotel u suggest for a get away for me and my wife i ft.lauderdale..and can u suggest the price range.
Everything that is well-rated is going to be between $200-$300 per night around Fort Lauderdale this time of year. That’s for a clean, nice hotel, but not a luxury property or one on the beach, which will be much more expensive. If you want to be close to the beach, I recommend the hotel in the video. If you want to be close to Las Olas, then the Tru hotel by Hilton is your most affordable option that I feel good about recommending.

Does the water taxi go to the beach?
Yes, the water taxi was fun.
Have a lot of single $. Pack your suit stop #5 is the beach. Do some research on which stops you want to check out.
Drinks on the larger boats are cheep
How much the price range for me and my wife?
It depends on the time of year. Right now, this property, and most others close to the beach, are expensive ($300), but during the summer, the price will be below $200 most of the time.

@@karenwikstromslivingloving6820 it definitely makes a difference on time of year. Summer and fall are much less than winter and early spring.
I stayed there. You are fortunate you got a decent room. We paid for a waterway suite and it was disgusting. The light fixture in the kitchen was hanging off the ceiling, there was an empty hole in the ceiling above the very scratched table, the bathroom was in terrible shape and the hallway carpet was smelling and wrinkled. The cookie was the best part. Check out was a disaster and the shuttle that showed up for the port ditched all of us to go do a wedding when their limo broke down. Proximity to the water taxi was our reason for booking and it was convenient to the mall, but it was not worth the money at all, I could have booked the Westin for a similar price which is a much better hotel.
