Smart Limit is by far the most "transparent" limiter I've used. It's great on most music especially when you just want your limiter to do its job and not impart any "tone". It really is super clean! I don't like what it does with transients and there are issues with the metering (which I reported years ago and still hasn't been fixed) but I still use it on quite a few projects. Been liking Master Plan a lot too. Just got the new Lace from Acustica, looking forward to checking that out too!
P.S. - I beta test for Slate and we worked SUPER hard on FGX-2 so I'm glad to see it's passing the tests!

Ozone is crunchy but is sounding nice. I hate Pro-L2 tone. Waves L2 on the other hand is sounding very smooth and nice but the transients are gone

My favs are Elevate and Smart Limit are my favs and treat music differently, but are both transparent.

For me Ozone took it. Bx, and slate sounded thing and brittle to me. L2 had to much squish of course, and that pedal one was very thin. Curious to see how Smart Limit stacks up and Invisible limiter, along with Elevate Newfangled Audio, Sonnox, and McDsp. The last 3 are just curiosities, but Smart Limit and Invisible Limiter 3 are my preferred, along with Ozone.

Wished you had tried smart Limiter by Sonible. I’ve tried all that you have in this video and Sonible is the most transparent and smooth Limiter there is

I used it for over a year. As my ears got better I started to hate it more. I didnt know that true peak limiting affects the transients and was wondering why my transients sound so nipped in the bud on the very tippy tppy tip of the transient. It was the sonible limiter doing true peak limiter. I still think the AI spectral thing is cool and use it but I dont limit anything anymore. I started using the L2 and found it so much better on the transients cause I can turn the true peak limiting off.

Great limiter! Did you think it kept the transients better than FG-X 2? 🤔

BS. All of it. ClipOnly2 by air windows and everything else into the trash. I hate this videos about made up problems that simply do not exist. All BS.

Well, thanks for watching anyway. ClipOnly2 is a clipper though, right? Wouldn’t you be looking at Air Windows Peak Limiter to make a fair comparison? Otherwise I’d need to compare ClipOnly2 to other clippers on the market, which sounds like a fun video in itself 😀
