A Spirit Walk: Sneak Peek (Arrest of the Willsons Scene) | 25th Anniversary!

A Spirit Walk celebrates its 25th year this year, 2022! After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this popular annual play returns to to the outdoor stage. Enjoy a sneak peek of the Arrest of the Willsons Scene, where local authorities disrupt the Willson family gathering on December 25th in search of known rebels Asher Willson and his sons.
This original play tells the story of the slow change from the optimism of early settlers seeking refuge from the American Revolutionary War to the seeds of frustration, and finally to armed rebellion in 1837. Pickering sent the largest contingent of rebels, under the leadership of local farmer Peter Matthews. You'll learn of his tragic fate as his widow, Hannah, narrates and leads you through the play.
