This was a fun build! Some of the best NA tq we have ever seen. For our customers budget and direction he wanted to go we optimized it the best we could. And He’s a close friend so I wouldn’t normally do doughnuts in anybody’s car! While yes if we replaced the clutch and ran a few more $$ parts we could’ve made more HP. If you guys are new to the channel check out some of our other videos there’s tons of info about builds, dogs, making power, and tuning!
I see a lot of people think this is my car and I copied Cleetus.....first this is a customers car and a very high end z06 too boot. Not even similar to what he’s done with Ruby. Yes I bought a cop car but to compete with him, ford vs Chevy BTR VS TSP etc. unfortunately neither have been able to do that for one reason or another. We have other project cars that are very different, Escalade, Miata, and my fathers C4. Thank you for watching and I hope there’s something that you can take back out of this!
The incredible amount of engineering that went into Corvettes to make it faster on road course, but all you guys are choosing to be a drag car. Like using a Porsche to be a drag car. Why not use one of many muscle cars with tube rear axle to drag, and refine Corvettes for their engineered purpose - road courses? Since subscribing to and Cleetus, I've not seen a Corvette on a road course. Maybe I'm not American so I don't understand, but seems like an odd choice?
@@user-180-mand90 It's my car, I choose it to specifically be a drag car that I can enjoy on the street and enjoy banging some gears down the 1/4. I have tons of respect for road course guys and cars but at this time I just prefer to drag race.
You should have done more than two doughnuts, just saying.
@@user-180-mand90 because corvettes are a great platform for drag racing, being pretty light with very good selection of engines and good weight distribution for launches with the transmission in the rear
Jeremy,
Your energy and passion for what you do is infectious. You do an awesome job with these cars, it’s really inspiring to watch a true master of his craft work. You seem humble and very appreciative of those who help you out with these projects. I really enjoy following your projects and wish you all the best going forward. Thanks for the great content.
Teacher: What do you wanna do when you grow up?
Jeremy: Make some power!
He would have said i want to be just like my dad. And damn this car is gonna be an animal and N/A . the goat unfolding infront of our eyes Jeremy its a pleasure to be able to watch your builds congrats my friend

Man, I've always loved the c6 zo6's. They are still hands down, the best bang for the buck you can buy.
Ruby's perty younger sister!!!!! I seen it in Cleetus' video
No this is ruby's virgin hot sister Jeremy didn't pick up at the trailer park like cleetus did ya ruby is a track car but what car would you rather drive around trying to get some pussy? Ruby had a blown out kooter and it had to be replaced buy another one 😆but I always do it for god, dale, dew, and Ed.
Ya she’s the girl next door. Ruby’s that chick that’s been passed around like A beer bong in college.
GM Kof hard ruby is an 05 base
@GM Kof hard yea I was gonna say, no no brother, it's a c5.. so impossible 2b 2010.. lol
But you caught it before I said anything.
Glad you did, bc I am NOT that guy that runs his mouth and corrects people and especially NOT an asshole in ANY way... so please don't interpret anything I say to come out that way!
@GM Kof hard no prob!!!
That is a *HUGE* and/or *MAIN* reason why I absolutely LOVE the Corvette *C5* .... because it was soooo far ahead of its timing (cosmetically, stylishly, all options) and all others. The 98-05 (Vette C5) was WAYYY ahead of its time in EVERY *aspect* !!!! FANTASTIC Platform to start ON!
My goodness those silver cup wheels look absolutely amazing on the Zo6
C6 Z06 is still the best car GM ever made. Pure sweetness
An '03 "Terminator" and a '06 Zo6 are my two dream cars since I turned 16. I'll be GLUED to this progress ❤❤❤
I want a c6 z06 so bad heck id be cool with a c6 grand sport. Like 06 07 when ever they started ls3 instead of ls2
@@evand8682 grand sport's trim packages are goooorrrgeous 🤤🤤🤤 and that subtle double strip on the front fender...there's somethin about it. It's pretty

@@nickadkins7765 Yep, and the grand sport didnt start till after the Ls3 was out also
Jeremy, I’ve only known you as the tuner that jumps in Cleetus’ cars and tunes them. Since exploring a little bit, have never been more pleased than with your vids. I’m a goof like everyone else but I tune in for car stuff not particularly a comedy show. So glad you bring a much needed medium between humor and sensibility and for that I thank you. God bless and good luck.
I'm with you. For more technical stuff, Jeremy is the man. For just over the top goofy stuff that somehow provides crazy results, cleetus is the one to watch.
That guy that does the porting does a hell of a job
definitely, he knows his shit
Hands down best car GM ever made.
When I was a tech at GM at 18 years old I'll never forget the first time I got to drive one. The smile on my face couldn't be bought when I shifted into 2nd at 7100 rpms. That feeling can't be bought..
Jesus that final dyno curve is beautiful. Doesn't dip hard at the end, the whole curve is so smooth
The feel of a great NA motor is something you never forget. It just keeps pulling all the way to the top. Instantaneous T response . Great job guys!
Thank you for your education to us. And your give backs to service members
Nothing beats the sound of a vette, hands down favorite car ever for ever.
Only feels right to watch any of yours or Cleetus videos while drinking a nice cold bartle skeet at work
Or beer at home!
Tim Turner I second that beer at home while watching 👍🏼
Every time George gets in for a ride is a trip he's got the biggest smile like a kid. You can tell he loves what he does. From this firefighter thank you for all you do for military and first responders. Much appreciated.
Love the LS7. I want a white on black C6 Z06.
I've been wanting a video on this car! I've been drooling over it whenever I've seen it in the background of Cleetus's videos. The C6 Z06 is my dream car. They look and sound amazing. The LS7 is a NA beast!
Definitely a goal to own a H/C/I c6 one day!
I can't help but noticed how European the engine sounds and behaves. The camera can't hide how that thing is supercar-fast and responsive. As of today, it has become my favorite Corvette engine. I am just blown away by it. Clean, clean, clean power and behavior...and still has more cloth to cut. But as it is, I am super impressed by its quick response and eagerness to rev. It's so light on its feet, it makes me smile. Bravo, Jeremy and the team! God bless you all!
Jeremy did work on my car and it runs great !!
I hope you start making more videos like this Jeremy. We all miss this. Adapt & Overcome. Miss it!!
I was at his shop the other week, he was telling me about that C6 he showed a pic of on the wall, and we talked about how good of a platform the C6's really are. The thing is sweet, and its my dream to own one just like it!
There's nothing like a powerful NA car. Growing up my buddy I use to work with had a nova with a high compression small block and it made almost 500hp/476tq on pump gas and that car was one of the best cars to go beat on the power was always there with no wait. He also built it to be reliable we could hop in it and go a couple hundred miles no problem Nothing like hitting 150 in a blink of an eye
on a back road praying for no deer to run out haha
Sent you an email...but I will say it here. I am an older guy who lost his Dad (old dry Lakes Racer) far too young, as did you. I think it is safe to say your Dad would be very proud of you. You have a gift when it comes to this stuff.
I'm so jealous. I have C6 with the z51 pack. My dream is a H/C C6 Z06.
The cam chop on that ls7 is fantastic.
funny thing is that if The O.G. Legend had that Z06 Transmission, and gear ratio it would trap in the 135+ mph range... not too far off the power level you're expecting from that Z... Goes to show you how much power your dad's car really makes. the unlocked automatic really robs some H.P... then again the 420 ci SBC is only 7 ci less than the Z. the big difference head flow, intake design, and exhaust size. summary: your dad's car is a freak!
Having the disciplin when to find that sweet spot,, really does take some educated experience when tunning.. That is an awesome skill to watch.
What a beast , I love that body style!
Couldn’t agree more!! Love this car. Just got a yellow one two weeks ago. I am still so amazed at the power of the car. It’s all stock. The C6Z really is the sweet spot for vettes.
Dude you and this channel rocks..
Working at a dealer I’ve had the chance to drive and work on the C5 C6 & C7 Z06’s, by far the 6 is my favorite, not only to drive but also work on.
Time to take out more vets for a ride love the vedios keep up good work interview your customers first ride that would be cool
As soon as Uncle Sam is back up and running!
Sorry Jeremy I added more to my comment it'll be super cool to go on like a first ride when the customer receives his car back
Jeremy, I gotta ask, as a 40 year old owner of past 6 corvettes and finally the LPE-606 c6z, as cheap as the c6z's are now; why not buy another low mileage and build for yourself since such a huge N/A c6z fan? My boss has 9 corvettes, one from each generation , a few from a few lol but bought his 6k mike '11 c6z for what I paid for my used one , it'd be cool to see your own build where you put your heart into the c6z. My '06 c6z was absolutely my favorite car ever! And I get it. It was straight piped with a borla stinger and single 5" outputs and people used to asked me at EVER light what was done to it to get insane pop and crackle lol. Felt like a 2,200 lb car and pulled luke a freight train , man i miss it!!'
Could see some tinkering on the Dale truck in the back ground.
Oh for crying out loud man. And it's painfully obvious you didn't learn or pick up on anything that was discussed and especially what was accomplished here. We just witnessed some amazing work, the results, and great lessons by A MASTER. And all you can say is what you see way in the back ground. Wow. Just WOW..........
@@howabouthetruth2157 you clearly didn't see my other comment you fucking pea brain.

Awesome, inspiring video. I bought a completely stock '09Z last June and am planning to do a similar setup. These cars in stock form are pretty rowdy!
i think Leroy is about that life since he WALKED the unicorn :)
You made awesome power with this setup! I had a 2007 corvette Z06 with ported stock heads, cam, intake, E85 and cat back exhaust. Made 567 whp and it was so much fun to drive. Miss it! Great video.
Why did you get rid of it.
the ultimate NA build should be your pops vette
Jason Russ I second that movement. 👍
Depends what context ultimate your talking about. Many guys running low 8s and a few high 7s N/A. Yes most are all out race but not all. It's also why Garrett's not the first GM stick car in the 7s. First with that gen vette with a manual no argument there. Few guys that run N/A stick class got into the 7s a few years ago in the north east. Both Chevy and Ford's. There's a lot of bad ass cars out there. Many never get seen on RUclips though. Sometimes people think if it's not on RUclips or the internet it doesn't exist lol.
These guys do some great work. I started tuning cars 20+years ago when you needed something like Haltech or Gen6 DFI but Really loved when I got my hands on F.A.S.T around 2000. You couldn't do shit with factory ECU's for the most part. Chips sucked and most didn't do anything you couldn't do with a timing light and adjustable fuel regulator. This dude knows his shit. I seen many of his videos with tuning and does a really great job and knows what he's talking about. That's coming from someone who started in the 90s. Anyway like I said really nice number for what's done with the car.
Rickybobby 03 hell ya brother
Wayne Bollentin.....wow its nice to see someone who knows about these cars up in NE. We really don't get recognition like evrywhere else. I know all my buddies don't like to upload anything, in fear of Local Leo problems....but hey... like ya said, if its not on the intertubes, then it can't be true!!! haha.
Jason Russ pops vette will need more cubes to compete with a h/c/I 427 lol
That cammed ls7...this is exactly what I want. NA nothing too fancy or modified, just good all around power
Saw the thumbnail and was like: Oh, Ruby is going on the dyno again? Where’s the turbo? Are they finally putting the hood on? ...Oh... That says N/A and the channel isn’t Cleetus McFarland. Damn! I am starting to like Corvettes now though. I’d want a 50’s convertible though. Just cruising down the beach, being the envy of everyone that sees me.
Francisco Castillo I didn’t say I’d keep it stock. I’d want to put something like a LS9 or LT5 in it.
Better have deep pockets for a 50s Vette that isn't a replica. I love every generation of Vette...except the C8, it looks too much like a Ferrari than a Vette. I think Gm is getting away from the spirit of the Corvette imo.
Whistle Teets better have deep pockets for not only the car, but an ls9/lt5 as well, thats big smoke
@@kolbyhumbert2545 indeed
I think I found the best Z06 ever… that was a great choice by the owner to stay N/A it’s just amazing how those Corvettes can put down the power. I really can’t think of a more underrated car than the C6 Z06
Beautiful build! Amazing the power obtained.... Can you now expand and play with a HEMI....
Those rear wheels on the grey c6, somebody name em! Beautiful!
Miss you brother love the work you do and the hustle, keep it up and continue to educate
This is by far my favorite video, you can tel Jeremy loves this setup
I wanna be just like Jeremy when i grow up lol
Years ago I called and had Jeremy spec the cam for my 06 Z06. It was everything you could want in terms of power production with just the right drivability compromise to power production if that makes sense. After all these years the specs are almost exactly the same. Gosh I miss that car. Great video. Keep them coming. God bless

My 61 Austinhealey runs 5.70 in 1/8 mile and 8.44 at 160 in 1/4 mile all motor !
What type of insulation is that, which gets you 100 degree difference?
@Optical Clarity Master's level, or bachelor's level (in each discipline)?
@Optical Clarity it will survive, when they pulled the thermal sheet off the caprice it was all in one piece and its been through a lot of heat cycles
@Optical Clarity I'd have to agree that an air gap would be the proper foundation for the idea. Perhaps combining mylar, gold and ceramic?
They sell a sticky sheet for ls engines on summit but they’re like 60$. Where can you get the cheap sheet they’ve got?
@Optical Clarity another way would be to seal the area, and use intake vacuum to pull cool air through a heat sink.
I love this model Corvette. They have such a smooth looking body, and make great power.
So like ruby, but not on a budget and no turbski

So is Fasterproms the same shop as Cleatus' shop?
FPV FANATIC some thing like that, even though i think its jeremys shop with cleetus there either way they both make sick videos
No. Fasterproms is fasterproms. I think they split the rent and utilities. Cletus doesn’t work for Jeremy.
Its split fasterproms/cleetus playground
Matt Constantino * Fasterproms / McFarland Fabrications
FPV FANATIC pretty sure fasterproms travels around and tunes. I think it’s Garret’s shop and fasterproms works out of it. Garret has the entire shop set up (assuming this from a previous vid of his where they were talking about upgrading things in the shop and adding shelves and tools) and he also has the entire office. Seems fasterproms just rents some space to store cars and work out of it. But I could be wrong, just assuming based off of videos
Secretly just here for the daft retrievers... 🤘
Wait, isn't it starting at 500hp? I'm thinking this isn't a budget build for the amount of power you're getting N/A compared to a forced induction setup. A constructive sized turbo I'd think would be a better budget setup. I'm not arguing with any other reason to go N/A other than the "budget" claim.
josh bishop “budget build” is figurative based on what you want. Sure you could make that much power n/a for less money up front, but would it be engineered to be reliable over time? Sometimes the phrase “budget build” has to take the long term cost of ownership into account as well.
josh bishop that’s to the wheels though. Probably around 700whp at the crank. Beast of a N/A engine
Stock c6z Dyno 440-460 at the wheels stock
this is a very happy dyno
josh bishop...........We're talking about hp AT THE WHEELS.........NOT "at the crank". There's a huge difference there. 620 hp & 560 ft/lbs of torque AT THE WHEELS on a naturally aspirated motor IS INCREDIBLE POWER. "500 hp at the crank" is only around 420hp at the wheels, or maybe even a little less. Get it? ........ALL of the auto makers (Dodge/Chevy/Ford ) advertise their horsepower AT THE CRANK.
So easy to love ..... the CS shape for a start beautiful ! Always good watching a good crew at work, along with the whole community. Cleetus gets in for a few frames, then everyones there. Fantastic guys, love you lots. So enjoyable :)
C6 corvette, the poor mans Ferrari.
Except it's faster than most Ferrari's.😳
...and they don't break nearly as often, plus you can go to the local dealer or any speed shop and get parts, over the counter for 1/3 of what any Ferrari parts cost!😁👍
I think this is my next car. That's an almost identical graph to my single turbo C5Z that Jeremy tuned. Its the perfect power level for the street. To do that N/A and not lose any driveability is just amazing.
Man I remember the first Lingenfelter Twin Turbo kit for the C5 Z06 was doing 650 HP for $20,000!!! This is almost there NA! 👍
You should do a video on how you know Cleetus and how you guys kinda came to exist in the same space (shop). Love your content you appeal to my inner nerd and your projects are killer too. Keep up the awesome content!
I love that bubble wrap insulation. Theres a roll of it in my van right now behind me as I watch this video 😂
There's just something about an NA build that speaks to me! A screaming supercharger and the resulting power is very very cool, but a strong NA-job is just i bit more magical :)
Only picking up 10-15 whp on e85 seems really low. I would have expected at minimum double that. But then he said 60% ethanol which makes sense as that its more towards e60. Must be that NA cars don't see the gains that FI cars do with the cooling effect of running e85. Still a good gain for swapping to a different fuel that has a lot of benefits over 93, as well as draw backs. Great video!
Correct. Much more limited in spark on FI car.
You have to realize where the power output of this engine already is. These numbers are insane. This is power that the most exotic SBC could never wish to make 25 years ago. To pick up 15ft lbs when you are already at that level is actually impressive. Once you get to a certain VE, you jump for joy at 5whp gains. Also the fact that this engine is not just a small HP spike at high rpm but makes an impressive TQ number and has a broad curve is all the more impressive.
This engine could have a hotter cam tossed in be spun another 1000rpm, but have absolute miserable street manners, and be gutless below 3000rpm. But hey, it'll make 30whp more at peak while losing a TON down low. Where it's at right now is perfect.
@@JViello Absolutely, I understand, but there's really no comparison between the most advanced engines of 25 year ago and today. The fact that the fuel itself has many many benefits in Forced Induction cars mainly for the benefit of cooling and thus allowing more spark advance. On this engine its not limited on spark advance from heat or where the MBT number is, so e85 is less effective... BUT e85 (when true 85% ethanol) is near the 104 octane range. That in itself should have seen a larger pick up in my opinion. (Was running e60) and since e85 requires more fuel that means an ever so slightly bump in Compression Ratio as liquids arent compressible.(at least in theory) but since the engine wasn't held back by 93, e85 had less advantages to offer and less power to pick up. I'm sure Jeremy has seen amazing power gains on other cars. But this one, this one, goes to show how well built the engine was and how everything was suited/fit together.
@@jacobmay7594 No disagreement here, I never refuted any of that. In fact, you supported my point. This engine is so well designed, it can run on swill almost as hard as a much higher quality fuel.
I used to own my own wholesale turbo fabrication and manufacturing company and was head of RD for another turbo kit maker and turbo supplier you would recognize instantly. I've spent thousands of hours on every dyno conceivable and reverse engineered many factory ECU's. There were HUGE advancements in head and tuning technology right at the turn of millennium. Well, that's when it finally started to make it to the production line in mass anyhow, most of the RD work was done during the 90's. That's when you saw hp in every day cars go to places never heard of in performance engines 10 years prior! Compare the Honda B series engine - mostly designed in the 80's to the K series engines. If you told B series builders you put down 300whp on a fairly non exotic NA 2.4l (143ci) they would laugh you out of the room. Today ever Tom Dick and Harry is doing it with relative ease. About 20 years ago I put 17-19psi into a 11.75:1 8700 rpm 4 banger with Yamaha designed head on 93 piss water with almost 20 degree lead...It was there I knew we turned a corner in a major way in head design.
Direct injection is going to push things even further if we continue down this road with ICE. Having control over fuel timing as well is ground breaking. The limited tuning I've done with DI being able to essentially chase the flame front down the cylinder and extend the burn period over time opens worlds we never knew. Good times!
I've been lusting over a C6 Zr1, but over 600hp and less than 3100 lbs. That's a hard combo to dismiss, and there's always a little room for some nitrous.
Tells us how aggressive its geared and the how fast each gear goes, proceeds to rip third to fourth. Hell ya!
I've driven a 06 ZO6 that made 622 N/A and it has been the best car I've driven yet
This is my favorite too. An all motor LS7 Corvette is an all time favorite.
This is probably best bang for the buck of the century. And Chevy reliability. And simple. Cant wait to Get my hands on one and send to faster proms!!! 😀
Hey now just here to comment for a shirt. Thanks for supports veterans and first responders. Much respect.
every z06 you guys work on has been very consistent. I've always wanted one and plan to get one in the future. Love the work you guys do. You guys really know what you're doing. I'm from detroit and will seriously consider bringing it to you guys, if you would allow it.
I just finished my 1050 RWHP CTSV build and am pondering my 2013 GS Vette future build. I must say that you may have me seriously considering building an NA build like that plus a 150 nitrous shot atop. Very nice; great bang for the buck! Congratulations!
Both of those Vettes are just stunning!
C6 Z06 is my favorite platform. Great all around car
Man that lil' red Corvette really rips for a N/A engine!! Nice work you guys. Love the sound of that intake on a naturally aspirated engine, and that one is no exception!😁 The street tests are the real key to see how it does with the force of gravity working on the fuel system and everything else. Well done!😉👍👍
Jeremy, I absolutely LOVEEEE your channel! This is my favorite video by far due to the fact that I just finished building my monster na c6z. Keep up the good work!!!! Hell Yeah Brother!!
I still come back to this video from time to time (thanks YT for recommending it yearly, lol). NA cars really don't seem to make the E85 conversion worth the hassle IMO, but I guess every little bit helps. Did you ever hear any track numbers from the customer???
