I have been studying Philippine history. You will be surprised to find out how Black people took part in their history. Their history is VERY rich. I could tell you things that would make you say WOW!
there were japanese officers and british ones who joined the revolutionary army providing training and tactical and strategic planning
Salute to the African-Americans and their Bravery for serving the Filipino People, their Sacrifices and Labor , should not be forgotten and should be recognized and awarded for Bravery, and should be a strong ally of the Filipino people
Some african-american soldier decided to stay in the Philippines after the that war. Most of them have raised their own family.
yes like the Brown family of zambales
Yes. It's. Written in Phil. History
That black. American. Soldier
Defected and fight along with Phil revolutionary. Forces
I am a white anglo Saxon engaged to a Filipina and I was appalled when I learned about the Filipino American war. I give you credit for bringing up the atrocities against both people. I am deeply ashamed about those actions. I agree with all of you. I deeply apologize for their action. I pray that God will help all of us can join together. God be with you.
Wow! This is amazing! I was educated in the Philippines but never heard about this part of the Philippine history! He obviously have researched far and wide! Very informative! Thank you Captain et al from the bottom of my heart. They may not be hearing (anymore) my gratefulness for what they did in favour of my countrymen and my country but I think it’s still right for me or for us pinoys to say “”THANK YOU!” How I wish I could trace their family presently living and meet them! -- ❤️ from 🇬🇧
They taught us this in 3rd year and 4th year public high school back in the 70s. I dont know if they have change the curriculum after that. We even talked about it in college during break time talking about the pros and cons of life under the American colonialists.
schools here in the Philippines has educated me in a lie history about past president. marcos... i thought marcos was a bad leader, his history wasn't written in a book...
@@myrenecarin4680 it will take half a century before an unbiased historian can make a proper assessment of marcos legacy. Most of the things Aquino and Ramos did came from the blueprint of Marcos vision and they took credit of that. All administrations have corruption and flaws.
That’s the history US schools suppressed to their students. When I went to college in the US, I was surprised that none of them (both white & black) knew about the Filipino American war and beyond until I did my presentation.
They know that as Philippine Insurrection, not Fil-American War.
How did they receive your presentation? Knowing that they committed atrocities to Filipinos?
Ikr, we get all too antsy about calling out nations for their histories of suppression when we barely even teach our own students in high school about that. The scale of the atrocities is particularly what upsets me, because it isn’t as if just a few thousand were murdered which although still bad, the atrocities which went on their were on a different scale entirely at at least a couple hundred thousand at LOW estimates.
I didn’t know that black and brown has a very meaningful brotherhood....Bravo !!!!
absolutely meaningful, because we are the Hebrew in the EAST and WEST yan ang tinago ng mananakop at kaya napad pad sila sa lahing puti dahil sa SLAVERY ganyan sila ka tuso..
I'm a Filipino-Canadian and so inspired with this video. Two thumbs up.
I wanna go to Canada I’m almost filippino that live in New York and mother Puerto Rican
Cousins are Filipino Canadian too Hi born and raised in the Philippines
Thank you to all African-Americans, our brothers and sisters
As a Filipino educator, honestly I don't know about this part of the history ;that very broad event which greatly emphasized, but now I realized that we're grateful to the African-American who helped our brave revolutionaries to fight for independence. Respect and love is what we need not discrimination. Let us behave like the COVID-19, what I mean is, it does not discriminate whatever color you have.
I’ve been studying the culture Philippine for years and I didn’t know this piece of history whatsoever until I saw a reaction video itsKevo. And its also crazy how Filipinos called it out racism beforehand during the war. Another thing when Filipinos came here in the West we fought for their rights while they were getting evicted by racists whites in little Manila in 1970s California. It’s mind blowing We’re all equal. ❤️
This American guy is a hero of the Philippines thanks to help my country love black and asian rest in peace blackman hero ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, I never know about discrimination until I came to America. So even if Philippines is a poor or developing country, I still want to be there than here in the US. Racism is a US disease. I've been hoping that it will change someday... that would be peaceful.
@Stephen Jenkins They do make fun of colors jokingly but they never hurt anyone due to the color of the skin. They don't really have black people there so they are curious. If they act rude that's because of American stereotypes or due to American news portraying black as dangerous which is not true...but they will not hurt or kill people due to the color of the skin like in America. In fact Filipinos are dark too and only few are light (mostly the mixed).
Watch Ophirian Heritage Conservatory, Filipinos and African-American have one root, descendants of EBER, the son of Noah. It's written in the Bible. African-American came from PELEG and Filipino came from JOKTAN, both are sons of EBER.😊
I watched that too . And it's really nice knowing the history of the Philippines
Indeed I'm an OHC follower too :)
What bible verse is that
I dont know that black american help us. Thank you so much😘😘😘😘
The african soldier is still unrecognized hero in the Philippines. Man. We should be recognized him as one of our Philippine hero.
Cuz he's not filipino lol
He's not a Filipino. He belongs to a different category which we can call as "Foreign Heroes"
Very well said, Sir. 👍 "At the end of the day, we are all humans."
Indian, British Soldiers also defected during British attempt to conquer Philippines. They're called Sepoys and most of them settled in Cainta Rizal.
yes i have heard that
Dun sila nakatira Malapit dun sa tindahan ng kakanin ni Aling Kika.
@@johndoe-fy1ho thank you
Thanks for the knowledge love
Isa dito si Sam Shivaker 😂🤣
This history reminds me the movie the last samurai.
Theres a good movie about it. From the sides of the Pilipinos. Called heneral luna.

Philippines is where the Army Special Forces used to go for jungle survival School in the 50's the black Filipinos use to show them how to survive
Black filipinos? Wow!
Eel Chiong I don’t know if you’re trying to sound good.
@@princenarrido4450 Does she mean aetas or does she sees filipinos as black. You interpret that.

We actually do belong to one race, the human race. How we all look like differs because of how we change to the adapt in the environment we are born in. Those in hot climates will tend to have dark skin to better adapt to UV rays from the sun and flatter nose because they don't need to warm up the the air they breath. Those in cold climates will tend to have more body hair and sharper nose to warm air before it enters the lungs.
I've been waiting for someone to point these out. The only reason people think there are races is because of the enslavement. If that didn't happen, there wouldn't even be a problem if you call people black, white, pale, or any other colors.
Hemmo Winchester all in all racism begun with the TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE...ALL STARTED BY 7 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES..PHILIPPINES BECAME UNDER THE SPANISH..CLAIMING TO INTRODUCE CHRISTIANITY BUT THEIR INTEREST IN REALITY IS OUR GOLD...ALL STARTED WITH THE SERPENT SEED.
@@angeloherrera9883 Yes. They obviously used religion as a front. Until now, there are still people who use that as a front to gain something else
Exactly, I was going to say that and finding this comment...
So sad that the country we knew as land of the free has for the longest time been oppressing its own. But what I cannot understand is how they always got away with it. If these things are happening in other countries especially in the East, they are so vocal in denouncing and calling out crime against humanity.
And you just said it, "land of the free." There's so many rights and freedoms here in this country that it literally gets taken advantage of. And to a point where it creates a lot of conflict.
Yes your right brother""! We are all brother or sister.. here on earth.💖💖💖
you definitely is correct.that we are all one....we're all human race whatever color we may have..
salute man! god bless
I did not know that blacks were sent to the phils. to fight Filipinos but they defected. Great news. Thanks for the info.
God bless brother, keep it up! The igurot of cordellera support you much.
Very well said bro,,we stand up and support our black brothers and sisters fighting oppression and racism. We live under one planet with equal rights to liverty and prosperity.
I don't know why some people matters the color of their skin!

Felix Cornelius Balderry, Joseph Astor, Stephen Amos, Caystana Baltazar, Joseph Banards,Andrew Bellino and more.

Great video
Why this things didn't taught during my school days especially history??

My 2 brothers, the youngest have dark skin, the eldest one whiter skin. But we all came from same biological parents. Genes from your ancestors come out just like that.

As a Filipino with brown complexion, i always respect every races, i never disrespect each races and culture.
I also stand for black to live freely and be respected to each in e eryone.
I always stand for equality, and respect.
I subbed bro! 🇵🇭
Wow!!! Respect and gratitude for Capt. David Fagen, I must admit, I didn't know anything about his heroism until now...Why he is not well known here in the Philippines? Question that I don't have the answer...but one thing that I know is that we should honor and be grateful of all the things that he had done...We will be forever in debt of the sacrifices that he had given...One snappy Salute in behalf of the Filipino people!!! ...Hey dude, more power to your channel
African and filipino are one race...

Your absolutely right ! For me we connect by spirit , so respect everything , there race & religion . This is a challenge , when we die ! Do you think who you are ? What you accomplish on this earth ! So be smart , Got me Humans ?
what a nice piece. truly indeed, we are brothers and sisters under the skin. after all, there is only one race in this world... the HUMAN RACE!
Wow....that was great.
Thumbs Up Brother
Rise with one nation!🙏
I read somewhere some of them lived and intermixed with the Aeta tribes where they found peace and freedom. Maybe that's one reason why I met an Aeta who stood 5'-9" tall.
African-Americans are Philippine brothers that belong to Shemites. They are both Hebrews. Africans are from Peleg's clan while Filipinos (aka Ophirians) are from Joktan's clan. Peleg and Joktan are brothers, sons of Eber. I learned that from the Bible.🙂
This shows how strong the ties of filipinos and african americans. And i know you felt that when you visited the philippines before
I love this guy
Check out the Howling Wilderness Campaign in the Islands of Leyte and Samar.
embrace the colour of the rainbow..we are all human.
Interesting history
One of their offspring still serves to this day Gen. Romeo Browner
A monument honoring Capt. David Fagen and the African American soldiers who fought for the freedom of the Filipino people should be erected in a conspicuous place in Manila.
Wow. I did not know this 😮😮😮
David Fagen is my new hero. I will tell my grandmother and children about him.
There's only one race... And its human race...
Human race with rational beings intelligent superior to other creatures yet destroying what a human race.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen
This really surprised me, knowing that the foreign soldiers fought with the Filipinos. But the Filipino leader named Aguinaldo collaborates with the American leaders. Salute to the African-American who fought with the Filipinos.
Aguinaldo is the 1st president of the republic and it is also 1st murderer in our history. He murdered Antonio Luna his General and Andres Bonifacio and his brother(Katipuneros)
I agree with you brother this thing’s gonna stop somehow enough is enough.
IN AMERICA. TRUE💯💯💯💯
