I just completed my video interview, my question were like tell me about a time when you had to work with someone but they were not on board with your ideas what did you do? what was the outcome? would you do it again the same or different.I have 20 years CSR experience, it did not ask me anything about experience other than 4 -5 situational questions. My question were read by a airline employee, I was given 2 minutes to respond. I answered and smiled through out the interview. If I can give any advice SMILE! If you get asked why you want to be a FA don't answer to travel, I simply said I care about others safety and offering them the best customer service possible.
You exude a level of confidence that most don't have and any airline would be fortunate to have employees like you! Thank you for the courage to share this information. Like you said, "Jay-Z sold drugs so we don't have to!" Much love to you!

To ace the Assessment Interview questions, you MUST choose either Strongly Agree or Strongly Disagree. You have to respond/choose very firm answers, which are using the word Strongly. Don’t ever choose any in between answers. The answer to What would you do, if you saw a co-worker stealing. The answer is to report seeing your coworker stealing to your Supervisor. Confronting an employee about stealing can cause problems and not reporting stealing, so a Supervisor can investigate can lead to that person to keep on stealing from the company, coworkers bags on board or from passengers. A Supervisor can launch an investigation and question other employees, if they witnessed that coworker stealing.

People like you should have this position. I really hope you received the position at American Airlines. My family works at AA, and if you didnt get the position.. DONT Take it personally. The process is very selective (Ranges from 1% to 10% ho apply get the position). You are better than 99.9% of the applicants out there. You are probably better than 90% of the current Flight Attendants. If my parents were in the In Flight department, I would love to pull some strings for you. But they do Ground (Customer Service) out on the East coast. Try Again if you didnt get it, or anyone who didnt recieve these positions! You WILL get it, AA loves people who reapply and improve or maybe just overlooked. If they see yur name twice they will be more likely in selecting you! You rock!

Great video! I also did the video interview back in 2019 but did not get to the next step. I have previous flight attendant experience and am going to try again. If you realy want this job you have to keep trying, it's very competitive.

Just took the assessment a few days ago, and it’s changed from the way you describe it. Now they give you two statements that are NOT opposites that you must choose between, such as "I hate teamwork" and "I get mad easily at work". You have to choose one, no in-between 😬

I’m thinking the same thing. I REALLY hope she gets this job/opportunity. Last week I booked a flight through AA. I saw first hand how the flight crew was really professional AND friendly. A little respect goes a long way. I requested ‘no ice’ in my beverage. (Don’t drink the airplane water. Do your research and you will understand). I’ve also noticed so many male flight attendants. Nice. I thought he was the pilot 😂.

Thank you much Deann. Great information. I applied for a job and completed the evaluation, Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree. Then, I applied for a second job a week later and they just used the same evaluation. I suggest you carefully read the evaluation statements before selecting your option. You will not have a second chance.
Okay update on my interview!!! Intimidating is the first word that comes to mind however very organized. The process was definitely lengthy and the interviewers very thorough with the questions they asked I remained calm and answered honestly. My interview was at the Double Tree Hilton located here in Miami. For the most part most made the cut myself included followed by congrats hall then in house background and drug test offer letter on the spot if you’re chosen. The process was organized everything is def explained and you can ask any questions and address any concerns you may have advice don’t panic with the initial pay it will be okay and refrain from online reviews allow yourself to obtain your own experience!!! American is def a great Airline and before I applied it has always been my preferred method of payment. Dress accordingly but don’t panic!!!

@Taylor they asked 3 questions in a group interview setting. They asked similar questions to the examples she gave in this video. But what she says in this video is what they’re looking for and answer the questions short and straight to the point. My answers to the 3 questions they asked me had words like “teamwork”, “leadership” and how I assisted the customer. She mentions a lot of key things that helped get me the job. The first question is “Tell us about yourself” talk about where your from and how u got into customer service and how long u have been doing customer service and highlight your skills and qualifications in a brief statement. If you know multiple languages that is a plus. The second question I was asked “Tell me an experience u had with a customer where u went above and beyond and what did u do to deliver great customer service?” And the third question was “What does it take to initiate a good and positive experience at work?” This is where u bring up teamwork, assisting your coworker if they need any help or have any questions, being a leader in your role. Not coming in with a “That’s not my job” attitude and willing to assist. Those key words helped me get the job. FYI I was hired for a Customer Service Agent position.
@Taylor I was too. But take everything that’s in this video it really helped me a lot. I knew how to take on the questions easy. And they didn’t pick who to answer. It was whoever wanted to answer first. So it gave me time to think. Good luck on your interview.

I did struggle to find research on American Airlines. I know when I did Delta they told me to please keep the integrity and not divulge any information from the live interview but ppl always go to glass door to add things anyways. Lol. And every time I studied hard they picked the least likely ones I thought would be picked haha. I have my first virtual group interview Monday. I really hope u got what u wanted!

I'm not sure where to apply for flight attendant training. If you receive a job offer from an airline, they will provide training.

@@lleh3712 Hi- No, I did not get an offer from AA. But I did receive a CJO from PSA and I was so thrilled! I started training in March 2020 in Dayton, Ohio. Then the virus struck and we were all sent home. I was heartbroken. What about you?

Thank you much Deann. Great information. I applied for a job and completed the evaluation, Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree. Then, I applied for a second job a week later and they just used the same evaluation. I suggest you carefully read the evaluation statements before selecting your option. You will not have a second chance.

Okay update on my interview!!! Intimidating is the first word that comes to mind however very organized. The process was definitely lengthy and the interviewers very thorough with the questions they asked I remained calm and answered honestly. My interview was at the Double Tree Hilton located here in Miami. For the most part most made the cut myself included followed by congrats hall then in house background and drug test offer letter on the spot if you’re chosen. The process was organized everything is def explained and you can ask any questions and address any concerns you may have advice don’t panic with the initial pay it will be okay and refrain from online reviews allow yourself to obtain your own experience!!! American is def a great Airline and before I applied it has always been my preferred method of payment. Dress accordingly but don’t panic!!!

@@raudypaulino3934 It went well. Thanks to watching videos prior to my interview I got the job. I was one of the two selected. This really helped a lot.
@Taylor they asked 3 questions in a group interview setting. They asked similar questions to the examples she gave in this video. But what she says in this video is what they’re looking for and answer the questions short and straight to the point. My answers to the 3 questions they asked me had words like “teamwork”, “leadership” and how I assisted the customer. She mentions a lot of key things that helped get me the job. The first question is “Tell us about yourself” talk about where your from and how u got into customer service and how long u have been doing customer service and highlight your skills and qualifications in a brief statement. If you know multiple languages that is a plus. The second question I was asked “Tell me an experience u had with a customer where u went above and beyond and what did u do to deliver great customer service?” And the third question was “What does it take to initiate a good and positive experience at work?” This is where u bring up teamwork, assisting your coworker if they need any help or have any questions, being a leader in your role. Not coming in with a “That’s not my job” attitude and willing to assist. Those key words helped me get the job. FYI I was hired for a Customer Service Agent position.
@Taylor I was too. But take everything that’s in this video it really helped me a lot. I knew how to take on the questions easy. And they didn’t pick who to answer. It was whoever wanted to answer first. So it gave me time to think. Good luck on your interview.

I did struggle to find research on American Airlines. I know when I did Delta they told me to please keep the integrity and not divulge any information from the live interview but ppl always go to glass door to add things anyways. Lol. And every time I studied hard they picked the least likely ones I thought would be picked haha. I have my first virtual group interview Monday. I really hope u got what u wanted!
