Thank Arceus my stubbornness wouldn't let me ignore this problem until I found a solution and your video was a lifesaver after spending HOURS trying to find one that worked, only to fail. I have a Pixma TS3322 and none of the other solutions were right for it. Thankfully you have a similar printer! I followed your instructions exactly-though getting the lid off was more of a hassle as one corner refused to come off and I was afraid to pull it even more, but I was able to reach the wires I needed! I think one had come loose when my printer just suddenly started trying to scan AND print at the same time. Possibly overloaded it or something. Anyway, I was so relieved when my printer powered back on! Thank you so much for this easy to follow video!!!
Amigo.
I to want to say what an awesome video, it was all about the ribbons being disconnected for me!! The printer is back working with power again and saved me going and buying another one. Thank you!
Thanks so much. I had a jam, hair clasp 😂. When I separated the top part of printer... I pulled a ribbon/ power cable loose.... Reinserted, all is well. Hope this helps someone. Thanks again.
I just unboxed an MG2525 today, and it wouldn't power on. What I eventually discovered is that the AC power adapter supplied with the Canon MG 2525 is not "keyed" with one prong wider than the other (USA standard is that the wider lead is neutral and not hot). Realizing how unusual this was in 2023, I simply turned the Canon's AC plug around 180 degrees and put it back in socket. Printer powered on just fine. Short version: Canon AC adapter will go into a power socket any old way, but will only actually deliver power to the printer like a "keyed" AC plug where one prong goes into one particular slot. Typical manufacture process these days is to have the neutral prong extra wide, sso you can't get it wrong, bu Canon did not do that.
Canon PIXMA 2540 it printed perfectly last about a month ago, then today no startup, dead. -prove plug & cables ok. -Moved the cartridge away to centre, it powered up once, then refused. -Remove to cover unplug both ribbons and replug...... -It now works, printed two files, switch off, switch on again=Still ok.
Thanks. I've checked and verified the outlet and power cord with a volt meter. I tried a new matching PSU to no avail. I guess next I'll rip into it? The printer is Pixma 922 that was seldom used and I kept it loaded with photo paper - $$$. It died in its sleep. I guess they don't make them anymore so the price is now way crazy. They list the print resolution as 9600 X 2400. I'm trying to find a printer that's equal, or better for photos. EDIT: For some unexplained reason, it powered on with the original PSU. Of course, it it now giving me the wrong Printhead errors for the first time. (Maybe I bounced it around?) A few reseats did not work. Now, I'm giving the printhead an alcohol soak...
thank yiuuu so muchhhh u save my toneees of timeeeeeeeeeeee & lots of frustrationnnnnnnnnnnnnn , i m so scare because after i open it up my printer and cant on it back, and so i started to search and found ur video, and why i open is because something was stuck inside ,thank yiu
Those ribbon-like things you are calling cords were disconnected by accident on my Dell printer, and I can't figure out where they go or what you call them.
I have to manually power my printer on prior to printing. Why doesn’t it auto power on when I select print like my older printer did? This seems antiquated to me.
Mine keep the solid orange light on even before pressing the power bottom. This happen after a power outage. I bought another PSU thinking that maybe it got bricked but that was a waste of money cause didn’t fix the problem. Odds are MOBO got ruin and probably a critical error occur killing the printer. I get power to the printer, but nothing happen and can’t be shut off again.
@@303electronics I appreciate your response. I try to look for a new board online but is a very hard part to find so most likely I’m gonna have to buy a new one.
thx a lot!!! one problem fixed. now I have to find a solution for my paper, guess there is something with the little wheels who should take the paper and now just don't
I have exact printer. But the problem is that the paper roller that feeds paper will not accept the paper. Ive checked doe paler jams but nothing evident. Havent opened the top yet. . Any suggestions?
My power button comes on (Canon Pixma MG 2922), but I can't turn the power button off by pressing it. The laptop can't find the printer when the power button is on like this and unresponsive.
My mother loves this printer. It’s blinking 8 times which is ink absorber. I opened it up and cleaned it out but it will not reset. I really want to fix this. Any ideas?
What a piece of crap, I had power connection issues with it the moment I bought it. After unplug in and replugging in it finally worked. It printed once. But now it's blinking and the usb isn't reading on the computer. Whyyy do I have 4 printers and none work
Hi. So, since you had different printers of the same model, you must choose the correct one when sending a print job. Go to your devices or printers file in your computer and see which one is highlighted when the current printer is turned on. It may be a few with same model number but will have (copy 1) or 2, 3, 4, however many you had if the same model. Choose the one that is highlighted and see which it is. Remove others if you can. When sending a job to print. Select the proper printer. I'm sorry you are having trouble, but really hope this gives you the right direction.

I'm sorry. I haven't had an issue like that. A power surge can hurt the board as well as the power supply.
