Hi, you picked the right time to come to Kingsdown, day time sessions upto last week had been rubbish and then the tings and doggies have returned. Keep the videos coming, cheers and tight lines.🎣🎣
Hello guys, I'm from Germany and now I'm glad that I learned the English language. :) Thank you for your interesting videos. Petri Heil! (That's what we anglers say in Germany to greet us)
Hi greg you ok pal, great watch again nice one. You chaps down south doing my head in catching the codling hahaha. Not long now 4 me up here . All the best from GRIMSBY.
Thinking of upgrading my surf rods do you have any recomendations on a mid budget rod. i would like to have some thing that can handle most things like mixed ground and some not so nice weather .
just came across your channel so i thought i would give you a look as ive just got into sea fishing .hopefully i will gain some tips off your vid 😊thanks for the vid
Nice to see the codling about early and back in the Kent area. they still haven't arrived in south Wales yet but looking forward to late autumn, ill give you a shout when it happens down here.
@@gsp its normal for them to show in october at seven bridge, and newport area., but there was a nice one caught at sully last weel around 6lb. so it looks good for this winter.
Nice 1 Greg, target achieved. I'd also heard a fair few were being caught down that way, not heard of any in Ramsgate tho. Will be trying again over the next set of springs, and keep u updated
good to achieve the target species you went for well done. codling being caught all over the place at the moment. Had one of 42 cms fishing low tide beginning of the month at one of my spots in herne bay. My first one since 2015. Think we are in for a good year this year for them.
That helicopter was probably looking for your rubber boat, if you had shouted out taxi it would have taken you to a 4 star hotel.. Nice to see some caught, great content.
Would have using a rotten bottoms helped, obviously leads cost I know, but one snag and you could lose the fish of the day plus your complete tackle and leader and lead
Hi Greg, Great session there mate. Lovely to see the cod coming out for the two of you. I see you regularly use braid with your beach fishing. I’ve always had trouble with crack offs when I’ve tried it. I think the knot is slowing things down passing through the rings causing wind knots and tangles. What shockleader do you use, what knot and what length of shockleader if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks Rhys
I never really get any major issues with braid and the benefits definitely outweigh any downfalls. I always use spiderwire braid, either smooth or invisibraid. I then use standard cinnetic skyline mono as a leader. The 32kg mono comes with 300yds on a spool and you can get it for under 20quid. Very low diameter and supple. I use a slim beauty knot for attaching the 2 and have approx 7 turns of leader on the reel👍
Great session mate can I ask do you need a sea licence to shore fish looking to do my first session soon looking at the isle of sheppey any tips or places to do my first session would be great plus parking lol have a blessed day everyone
@@gsp thanks for the reply, it'll be for mainly on my local Bristol channel so need something with a bit of backbone amd sits well in the tide. After using 3 piece rods for my summer fishing in pembrokeshire I'm looking to get some beefier 3 piece as they're so much easier to transport and carry.
Just need them to visit the Island.Good video.
Cheers Micheal👍
Awesome Greg 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😎

I always thought they showed up in the channel first🤔🎣 I don't think Kent has even been destination for any species of fish🤦😂😂

On the unicorns 🦄 at last well you have earned those 3 codling mate 👍 well done for sticking to your task
Cheers kev👍 it's been hard going recently so I was happy with this session
@@gsp I may dust off my kit and take a visit to Hill Head and see what I can find! Or maybe Gilkicker

Oh no! You've jinxed it now 🤦😂😂
Let's hope we get a good winter. Maybe even dungie might live up to its former reputation 🤞🤞
@@gsp lol got a good feeling about this winter. If dungie lives up to its former reputation. Then it will be a fight to get a spot lol
Great vid mate quality drone footage 👍 and fish lol 😂
Cheers mate👍
Try using a lead lift at this venue works well
I should have put one on but I can never be bothered🤦🤦🤦😂🎣🎣
It looks good for Nov, Dec. 🐟🐟🇫🇷😊
Fingers crossed 🤞🎣

Yeah I should use rotten bottoms more than I do🤦🤦 for some reason I don't think a out using them until I'm in the car on the way home🤦🤦🤣

No licence needed to fish in the sea so its great news! Head for bartons point and put a fish bait out on a pulley dropper to target rays. Good luck👍🎣
@@gsp thanks mate have a blessed day
Did you manage to get the hooks out of the dogfish and release it...?
The dogfish ended up coming for my tea
How do you find bite detection on the crosspower Greg? Been looking at the blue version which im guessing is just the newer model
It's ok Mark but I do think the newr version is a little stiffer. It is a nice rod and good for Ray fishing🎣🎣👍

Fished there last night and caught 20 dogs had to put a rod away as there was so many dogs
I suppose its better than a blank🤔🎣🎣
@@gsp yes but a bit of nightmare still,,, a nice evening out 😉
Its a cod if its 3lbs or more therefore you caught codling but well done
The species is cod, so regardless of size its still called a cod. A puppy is still a dog🤔
I think you will find its a cod if 7lb or more 😉 cod/ codling fish is a fish so well done
Yes mate but the actual figure is 6lb my biggest is 3lb so just a codling for me lol.....tight lines
The guy in the helicopter does not like fishing, he was scaring all the fish away....
For once he didn't succeed 😂😂🎣
21:14 100% Dead cod!
I kept 1 cod
All the ones released back swam off. They may have taken a moment or 2 but we're all fine
