I have a Simon and Patrick with cutaway, in perfect condition, I bought it new about 15yrs ago. I don't remember the model and my son currently has it. Wondering what it might be worth currently? Just for shits and giggles. I'm searching for a second acoustic but I can't afford the prices of a new Godin guitar. 😢
To be honest, I have never been able to find out the value on the ones that I have , I think these were under $500 In the 80s when new . I know they have changed logos a bunch over the years too. There are a lot of nice acoustics being made today that are inexpensive, but you gotta search them out .
@guitarhoarder1972 I paid $550 for mine back then, similar ones are now $900, that's close to what a low model martin was back then! I shouldn't be surprised, everything is more expensive now. I'm looking at preowned fender cd60 ce as it's reasonably priced, I hope I won't be too disappointed...
@deannal3678 best of luck in your quest for a new guitar, I have never played one of those fender acoustics that you spoke of . thank you for the info on the "S&P" guitars as well ! Jake
I suppose anything is possible, that was my first really good guitar I have owned it for many years..I guess it depends on the offer etc..I will consider it and think it over...Jake
@@guitarhoarder1972 Thank you. The reason is that I had a 1988 version that I regrettably sold now that my son is learning. Also I own a Spruce top and Flamed Maple back and sides acoustic bass built by my Luthier. Similar woods albeit different construction. Yours would be a keeper passed down to my son. It's an option to keep in mind. Let me know your business email and I'll send you my personal email. ✌️
You got a couple of gems there! I really like the Maple one, even though Mahogany is usually my go to choice.
