    Excellent video Daniel. Allot of important information you have passed on here. Just when you think you have a no designer initial..you look a little closer and see a bump...toss it in the searched pile and go on to the next coin. Differences between RD, RB, BN coins makes a big difference. I've burnt up Verity Vista looking through so many. Really a nice site and helpful. Just have to do your homework and don't get discouraged as the pace will pick up as you gather more experience.

    I’m back east for the holidays and I’ve begun searching my sons penny stash. He literally has 5 or 6 5 gallon pails full of pennies. Years ago he started saving copper pennies hoping some day to corner the copper market. As you can imagine the process is slow and tedious. Thanks for the information on the 69’s. I’ve seen hundred by now and have not come across anything good yet. I particularly like your input on the no FG. If it remotely has a mark it goes into a coin roll. It’s going to take a long time to search all his pennies but I feel it would be a shame to eventually cash them in without being searched. I have my list on what to look for hoping to get lucky. Thanks for the info.

    Thanks Daniel! Great information. I have a handful of ‘69 s. Different mint marks, few with no F/G. I will take the 69S out sometimes and stare at it thinking maybe it’s a FS 101…it’s ok to dream sometimes 😂

    I think part of the miscommunication on what's valuable and what's not is that the powers that be seem to be the ones that push certain key dates certain double dies even though they're not the only exclusive examples of valuable coins for that denomination and year. I don't know the back workings of that but it's quite apparent that they're the key dates must come from somewhere and somebody must deem them key dates or the exclusive double to die of the entire series when as you're pointing out there are other lesser valuable coins possibly in that denomination and in that same series but they're not as well publicized at least that's what I'm seeing because I find many many other varieties and other coins than our key dates or especially in the 1960s that rival other key date doubled dies or RPMs but aren't even mentioned often so I understand and I appreciate what you're doing here.

    2 months ago I started coin collecting and ruined n entire roll of 1969 uncirculated pennies that belonged to my grandpa. I was so impressed with how shiny they were I thought why not polish them, so now I don't know if I'm coin collecting or really just trying to get those back somehow.😭😭😭😭

    Hey Daniel, thanks for video, superb to say the least. I want to believe I inspired you to do this episode. I took your advice and did my homework on Mint errors. My 1969 S error is what they call a Struck through dropped filling
    This coin exhibits an incused image of a letter, digit, or design element due to the filling of a filled die coming loose and dropping either on the die or on the planchet. Under the pressure of repeated strikes, a filling becomes compacted and hard. When it falls out, it retains its shape and transfers it to the planchet. On my 69 S the partial letter is inside the O on ONE. What are the chances of finding something like this, especially on a key variety date like 1969. I'm excited to say the least. Because it's in red state condition I'm gonna send it off and have it evaluated by someone that's known and recognized by grading companies, just for the record even if it's not worth a lot. Thanks again

      No, sorry, but this video was inspired by rude people hanging up on me when I tell them their 1969 Penny is worth a few cents. Also, what you have is a dropped letter and I would look up sold auctions on these before considering a submission. Thanks

    • @panningbuddy2301
      @panningbuddy2301 Год назад

      @@CoinHELPu I know i just put it out there, one has wonder how people get through with an attitude like your caller, on first discoveries they're obviously on a coin year basis. I see a lot of dropped letters in all coinage but not on the 69 S. I guess the elephant in the room question would it be considered a first discovery for 1969 S if by chance there isn't another dropped letter out there for that year. One step a time i guess.
