I swear depending on the song and my mood it changes. Sometimes they make me cry and miss my daughter. Sometimes they put a smile on my face as I punch the gas and start doing 60 in 25. I wanted to stay with my ex and our daughter and her other kids who saw me as a father but my ex didn't want anything to do with me anymore. damn. this song really hits me in some type of way. recently i fell in with a friend group i probably shouldnt have and made myself become a different person to try and fit in better. At least to me this song means you cant fit in sometimes but its for the best. yeah these folks arent the crowd i should be around and i dont fit in all that well but that way of acting made me and my gf split up. I realized what had happened and im on the way back to the person i know i am. I may not be able to fit in with the people i want to but theres nothing bad about that. its best to stay true to yourself even if you dont want to sometimes. im kinda blown away by how much this song mirrors whats been going on for me recently. as a long time fan i can definitely say while olivers music is legendary this is the song i can relate to the most.
