another origional fx timeless massive masterpiece by delerium beautiful epic absolutly out of this world i love so much deleriums wonderous soundscapes for the mind enjoy all ambient music fans dave
+Rich Ambler I wouldn't call there new stuff crap (my wife likes what they do now) but I agree, the ambiant stuff is why I was a very early fan. I didn't even know this song because I have the original CD...
@floatingcompassmedia ...ah, but a correction: there are no such things as 'jungles'. that term is now considered a relic from an imperialist, capitalist, insensitive past. What you actually heard was a rain forest... tung'n'chic.
I thought so too, but it's on this release I have. It's odd because in my WMP library, the cover art is different and the date says 1988. It's not uncommon, since Delerium and Front Line Assembly albums have had history of improper labelling or track listing. As for the differences, you'd have to hear it yourself somehow. There's some similarities but this version is more ambient.
The song wasn't on the original version of faces forms and illusions but was added on to it when Cleopatra did a re issue. It was probably recorded close to Ten Years After the original album so done by different people and totally different keyboards and stuff so it has a very different sound
I've always thought that this and 'Inside the Chamber' and 'Strangeways' were both out of place on the album, due to the ambiance in which they are formed, unlike the other masterpieces.
My version of Faces, Forms and Illusions is different. This song is only 5:18 on it and the last track is almost 20 minutes, with three songs blended into it. Even Dark Star on it sounds different, this version is way better.
This is the version from the Reflections II compilation. You've got the Cleopatra reissued of FF&I, which is missing Hidden Mask (one of the best!) They probably just tacked this onto the album to fill up space. Cleopatra reissues were always a joke, cutting songs down, or removing them and adding totally unrelated tracks instead.
Cirque is definantly a good one, no doubt. But the one I find most dissapointing with Gier's work is 'Autour de la Lune', its drone nature, for me, takes away any pleasure from the album.
You definitely have to be in a certain frame of mind to appreciate this kind of music. Beautiful. Poetic. .....it opens your soul.....

I will sit down underneath the stars and enjoy this masterpiece of an album!!!
Das ist das allerbeste von Delerium.Ganz unheimlich schön.
the darkness within this melody feeds my soul....excellent💎
Great song! Delerium is the best choice to drive or just walk around alone in the night.
Outstanding... I love this it just blows me away.....
I thought I had all their cd's but you learn something new every day.
Love it. This is when they were good. Soooo much better than the pop vocal crap they are putting out now.
+Rich Ambler I wouldn't call there new stuff crap (my wife likes what they do now) but I agree, the ambiant stuff is why I was a very early fan. I didn't even know this song because I have the original CD...
ok thats the only reason you wouldnt call it crap now xd
I like it, makes me think of being at an outpost in an alien landscape...very well done
wooooooh so incredible
what a track!!!
I really enjoyed this piece. Very relaxing and deep.
No, it was Dossier. The cover of the CD is the infamous one where a monk is on fire.
Great suggestions!!! Thanks a lot.
DARKFANTASTIC!!! Deliriumfan
wow!!!
great sound, I love it!
foarte frumoasa melodie
magic, thx u
it makes me the chills...but I like it :D
When you're playing a space map this rocks in every way.
I love Faces, Forms and Illusions :D
Have a listen to "Inside the Chamber", best ambient that Delerium has ever made.
It is a beautiful genre.
Nonstop gooseflesh from the back of my neck down my spine and down my left arm to my elbow and both shins
Epic

👌
I need to re-own this!
I find this song very spiritual in some way. Like it represents the song of mysteries within oneselves.
That's quite an accomplishment.
I would have to suggest Biosphere as an alternative, dark yet extremely powerful and emotional.
I've always thought that this and 'Inside the Chamber' and 'Strangeways' were both out of place on the album, due to the ambiance in which they are formed, unlike the other masterpieces.
I would highly recommend the dark ambient tracks "Match Sticks", "Hankie" and "Tree", by Aphex Twin.
coool
Someone has mentioned this artist before, 'Neptune Towers', they seem just as excellent as early Delerium, try giving them a go aswell.
ooooo dark...
May I ask which album from Biosphere has taken your fancy?

Scary.
ive heard that explosion in the background before on a remake ov gamemaster by lost tribe. wicked song though
If you're a fan of dark ambient, try Audela (at Discogs), they have made some very beautiful works.
Universe is dark.
Opnieuw uitbrengen SVP!!!
Rerelease please!!!
LOOK OUT! BEHIND YOU.
where can i donwload the whole album?
is this reaaaaal life?
Try Gustf Hildebrand as well, similiar sound.
Is the download link legal?
@orly444 doesn't matter. It's worth it :)
Hmm...reminds me of Silverweed from "Watership Down".
well only if your adhere to commonly held opinion of the what trance is
