I had chosen this very issue for my own bachelors thesis in Hokse back in 2016. Like you said at the end of the video, the people from the village are heavily stigmatized. They have been robbed twice: 1st robbed of their organs. 2nd robbed of their dignity by being labeled “kidney sellers”. I had a hard time finding people to talk to during my survey and had to modify my research objective. I thankfully had help from one of the local health worker and i’ll be forever grateful. I found out that you cannot go there as an outsider to talk to people cuz u will be looked at suspiciously by the local authorities and the people as the one looking to find “sellers”. i neither had the network or the capacity to carry a comprehensive interviews as i initially planned. I had to significantly reduce my scope. For my own safety for one, as some people from Hokse warned me that brokers, authorities and the locals are very wary of outsiders and could be violent. They also despise the media for portraying the village in a bad light. Many from Hokse now feel ashamed of being associated with the village.
Heartbreaking and scary at the same time. Imagine being easily manipulated and face lifetime health problems for few thousands rupees😢. I hope that concern authorities take strict actions towards such health professionals and those who are involved cause this is completely unacceptable.
What's wrong in asking for subtitles? It will be great help to people who don't understand English to understand the video. You people acting as if you don't watch foreign content with subtitles
As a 17 years old , i swear one day i will change the wholeee rule and badworks of this world not only this country. I want to make this world full of peace 😞🕊️
A wise person is the one who realizes that the best way to help the world is to help yourself. Help yourself, take care of yourself, do what you truly desire.. Do what you truly enjoy day to day. Every great invention or intervention in the world happened only because they truly followed what they wanted in their heart and not to change or help the world. Be it science or politics, you don't go there to help the world, you go there because U enjoy it personally.. That is the only way to be so passionate that U achieve great things in that sector.. Doing something trying to fix the world is childish. In the long run, the person will lose the momentum unless it is something they enjoy day to day personally. Being selfish is the best way to help the world because U achieve great things only when U truly enjoy it.
The leader is responsible for this situation of our country and people. It is very sad to see such a scene. Our Nepali people are suffering a lot. If only someone could understand the suffering of our people, oh God ♥️🙏🏻
