The Protestant spirit and the unintended consequences of reformation still reverberates in modern times, how a religious revolution secularized society. They want the rest of the world to be made in the image of secularism which was a particular traumatic result of religious schisms that created a blood path in Europe, the 30 year war.
Great convo, but a couple of corrections: The New American Century was authored and led by Jewish American Republicans. It was all for the benefit of Israel, at the expense of Americans from 9/11 and on. 2. Eritrea is not an Arab country. It has observer status in the Arab League, and Arabic is one of their official languages.
@Muipal Most of the people in the north and some enclaves of central Ethiopia are Semitic language speakers & Christians. The Federal govt's (national) language of Ethiopia is Amharic, a Semitic language. Being a Semitic language speaker doesn't make you an Arab country.

Can Dr. RC possibly speak to what the “average person” should objectively think about the so called Middle East? For example, thanks to his lectures,the history of the last two hundred years have opened so many “eyes” to us complicity in the unrest there. The problem with Trump fixing any global problem is that the US empire will continue with arrogance. I wish Trump stumbles in a humiliating way but without more suffering anywhere. Like he imposes tariffs on countries dishing the usd and those countries dishing trade with the US successfully. A tall order, but that is what wishes are all about.
Infact I believe in what you said. Trump has hired all messianic biblical Armageddoners in his regime. With his temper and ego, I believe Trump will try to use all opportunities that will atleast figuratively make him greatest of all time. He would want to eclipse everyone in the history and he would put every resource at his disposal in his narcissistic endeavors! This means he will mess up US economy to an unrecoverable state. That’s my theory. I wish I’m wrong but my hunch says this is inevitable knowing who he is and who will be in his administration

Or even part of Germany to pay for ITS WWII atrocities, rather than the Palestinian people. Could you post a survey for such a peace proposal to know whether there could be a wind to create a sail of support?
