Hey Alexandria! We send out an 11 part install course with every dread order. In there we show a self install video! Pro tip: 2 mirrors works best for that!!
Do you install all of them on your own? I've done it successfully one time by myself. I live with my husband and sons and no one seems to want to help me,lol. Do you have any tips as to how I can section them so feel confident in wearing them in public? Oh and my hair is curly naturally. The ends don't like to behave when I rubber band them.
Hey there! I self-installed most of my beginning sets. We have an amazing stylist who installs for us now! I'd definitely recommend finding a friend who knows how to braid, or you can show our install course to any stylist. Either will be able to install for you, girl! BTW, Did you know we send our 11-part Dreadlock Install Course with every dread order?! As for sectioning, start at the bottom with three boxes and then brick lay up. You can always double-band the ends that want to get a little wild and keep separating with Crown Nectar. That's just going to happen to us curly girls! In our Facebook group, we have a couple of posts with lists of stylists who install and friends who install. Jump in there to find someone closest to you! facebook.com/groups/wildcraftedwoman
Have you had any issues with your elastics snapping or dissolving? Someone suggested it might be because I use oils for hair maintenance, but maybe I just need to buy a better brand of them.
That's so frustrating!! The oils do weaken some brands. We currently recommend ElasticU bands from Amazon but ... stay tuned we may have a much better option in bands for you girl. Coming soon at WildcraftedBeauty.com! (hint, hint)
