Because the Operating System draws the most power (sounds weird but it's true) ... you can see this when connecting via SSH to the console and checking the system with system analyzing tools like "top" in the linux console. ... try different things ... main menu ... different systems ... and observe the change in CPU and memory consumption

Wow that’s a lot of stamina. I didn’t expect this even taking into account the fact that the game is quite intensive

Unplug the battery and plug it back in. It seems to work after that.

Have just sent one back for the really bad battery life. It was about 3 hours with nothing maxed out like the sound or brightness etc. Not impressed.
The definitely have quality control issues
