The M1070A1 came out in 2009,with the 18.1L C-18 as already said, with 700 HP/3,300 TQ and a 4800SP. The M1070 is almost 40 years old...Not over 20,twice that... At least also mention the original trucks too. The M1070 came out in 1985 with the Detroit 12.7L DD-92,which was a 2 Stroke and also the first 8V-92 to have common rail fuel injection and electronic compressors, hence why it is also called a 8V-92 DDEC.It made 500 HP/1,470 TQ and it was also twin turbocharged,it was backed by a CLT-754 Allison Automatic and TC-496 Torque Converter. Before the Army got serious with governors, they would run at 2,750 RPM at 50-55 MPH,but now they only do 2,100 RPM and 44-47 MPH.The A1 with the Caterpillar is a 4 Stroke by the way. These trucks have a 231,400 lbs GVWR,and M1-M1A2 Abrams are not the only thing they literally haul...On the 40 Wheel M1000,they haul tanks,M88A2 ARV's,M113A1-M113A3 APC's,and even HEMTT's too.Whatever fits on that trailer,it will haul it,espiecally with it's 53 Inch 1600×20 Super Singles. The only thing at that to tow such a monster truck is the M984 HEMTT.
@@misiclover1658 They make 700 HP in the M1070A1 as I said...Please do your research.Oshkosh even released information about it on their website as well.
@Nathan Luepke It just threw me off that the real and original M1070 was never mentioned. That 8V-92 would scream like a demon and move Abrams,Bradleys, other HET's,HEMTT's,ARV's,APC's you name it without any issue at all.Ever since 2009 when the A1 became mandatory, the Detroits are extremely rare now, including for the HEMTT and PLS,which use to have the 92 Series as well, but now use Caterpillar C-15 ACERT's.No problem with them, and they make much more torque, but they have that rumbled cackle.I just love the screaming jimmy.
730 horsepower. Wow!! Holy cow! That's some power right there. Amazing stuff. Imagine if mankind could all just get along and we all use our $$$$$$$$$$$for peaceful things. Pray for peace.

I live in Northern Ireland, I have never seen any of these models in NI ever the last and only time I saw a tank transport here was in the early 60es. I would like to see the military vehicles on our roads especially artics and draw bar out fits. . .
I wonder if the C 18 Cat diesel in the new US HET has been approved by the US EPA and if it meets the tier 4 requirements and if it does when will Cat start offering them to Peterbilt, Kenworth , Western Star and Freightliner for commercial use
And I really don't think that there are any vehicles in the construction field that weigh as much as a tank and if there is it's usually bigger and they have special trailers for that, any way they're called lowboy trailers and I'm guessing they don't use them for commercial use is because a m1000 trailer doesn't need to be used to carry food to Walmart or boxes to an amazon warehouse and etc.. and plus like the other guy said it only for military use so I guess not! 👎
Hey great video.. Somebody might want to tell the guy on the flatbed with the orange vest guiding that tracked vehicle on thats a great and stupid way to die. He could communicate from the rear of the trailer and not be in the vehicles path. That part made me cringe.
The Thornycroft Antar Rocks all of the others, by the way, the Commander didn’t replace the MKII you show in the video, but the MKIIIa. Also, better to have the tank lined up properly, before loading. Saves steering adjustments that might end up with egg on their faces and a tank hanging off the trailer... 😂
Dude... Seriously, you need to train your tongue in controlling your diction... Your pronunciation of a words with letter S in it really irritating to the ear while wearing headphones/earphones... Seriously dude, the high pitch on how you pronounce S really hurt to the eardrum.... Btw i love on what you deliver to us... Fantastic!!

1. Oshkosh m1070
2. MAN
3. Belarusian MZKT
The road train version really makes sense.
Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction.
this is an ideal video that I've tried finding for years
Out of them all the Thornycroft Antar still rocks. And it’s Scammell as in CAMEL not Scam’ell...

the A1s are governed at 60 MPH

I know about the M911,never once heard about a "M746",Are you referring to the CHET's trailer?

The second to the last is the best tank transport because it actually EXISTS! The last is a "pipe dream" that can only be produced in small numbers!

Keep all the weights to a common figure like tonns for all trailors and that would be a easy conparsion between all trailors and litres per engines.
The 1070A1 is the best in the world America.
The German manufacturer is not MAN, but you pronounce each letter individually: M.A.N.

M.A.N. =...

obviously, the name MAN upsets german feminists and LGBT.

Plenty in and around Wiltshire, I used to see them quite often on my travels, all loaded up, and going up very steep hills like they were on the flat.
Awesome video guys keep it up 🐈🐾
MAN TGA TA IS ANOTHER POWERFUL TANK TRANSPORTER
Love this video
Hey! Those are my 1980's 617 TkTpTr Sqn video clips : - ). Happy to help immortalise a great machine!!
Scammel clips done on my video cassette camera so a little fuzzy.
Amazing good
The Turkish trailer looks more modern and beautiful and very powerful. 680 HP insane! And Oshkosh of course a beast
My favourite tank transporter is Kynos Aljaba, designed and built in Spain. In service with South African and Spanish armies.

I bet that Scammel Commander, would still best most of these. You also missed the Brits Oshkosh variant (With its Kings trailer)
It's a pity he couldn't pronounce Scammel.

isn't engine torque output impt in transportg ?
You keep talking about HP numbers as if they mean something. What is the torque?!
They’re building a lot of them for the

I have done a lot of work on the M1000 trailer and changed ta motor on a HET . That is some heavy duty stuff .
88m here. Trained on the first version at knox in the 90s
I have a wench also "But she only lifts food into her mouth".

Try 3 Aux winches on that m1070A1. there isnt one. There are three.
there are 2 main winches and 1 small auxiliary winch mainly for pulling out the two main winch if needed.
