could you think about doing a series on the game "supreme commander" i think it to be one of the best RTSs out there and it has a rich and quite frankly beautiful story on all sides en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Commander_(video_game)
Star Wars? A cartoon appropriate for children, full of loopholes and contradictions. ME is by far the most consistent, rational and the best sci-fi franchise in existence. At least of those who managed to achieve a substantial commercial success.
Arghast I disagree that it’s the best, and it is certainly not the most rational, but I agree with you in that it’s one of the better sci fo franchises (i you exclude andromeda). However, Star Wars has it in charm in that it’s science fantasy, not science fiction.
*Organic civilizations rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory they are extinguished. The Protheans were not the first. They did not create the Citadel. They did not forge the mass relays. They mere found them - the legacy of my kind.* Oh, and ATLAS. WINS. By fatality. Great series incoming, I can feel.
@@alexandrearrive6199 What I like is that if you think about it for a moment whole construction foreshadow major twist of this series. Specifically that Citadel and Sovereign design are similar. Yet no one see it coming :D
Waiting for Stellaris Invicta? The first episode goes live this Saturday at 1pm MT with the first stream starting one hour after that! www.twitch.tv/templininstitute
So glad Atlas won. Now I just wait for Cybertron. Nice breakdown of the Citadel. Felt like a few bits of small detail were left out but you can’t get everything.
The Citadel remains one of my all time favourite locations of any game, pure sci-fi joy! This was expertly discussed and explained, wonderful video! Love your Mass Effect videos, more please :)
Mass Effect:"one day, I shall come. But please no tears, go forth and prove to me I am not mistaken in mind, but I shall come back." *The camera pulls back, a door comes down closing the section where Mass Effect was. It shuts with a Symbol of EA and is put in a place where games are lock away, and left in storage. Top men are observing it, at all times.*
Here's a few suggestions for future videos: Deep Space 9 from Star Trek Babylon 5 from Babylon 5 Korriban from Star Wars: Legends canon Karaz-a-Karak from Warhammer: Fantasy The Well of Eternity/Maelstrom from the WarCraft universe.
Great content! I am on board since the begining and i would have never believed how strong you have grown. I love to see the new series and the epic way you show them. (enter here some more random compliments and stuff) But I wanted to share my Idear for a new "Atlas" Motion picture. My idear was the long lost city of the ancients atlantis from the series "Stargate Atlantis" besides my bias for the series, I think it is a place that would well fit this format. Besides the great journey of the city, the story of its discovery and the struggel of the tauri, this city has some very unique features like the cloaking, wormhole drive and other things. I could keep praising this greate peace starship, but I hope you will pick it up sooner or later. But even if you don´t, I will still look forward to all new videos you are making. Keep up the great work!
this was Great! And I know that this New series will be just wonderful to watch. As for Future places ATLAS could visit, might I recommend The city of Ankh-Morpork of the Discworld? or perhaps The Discworld itself?
If y'all are doing more Atlas videos, you should do some on two of the most important planets in the Star Wars universe: The center of both the Galactic Republic and Empire Coruscant and the unassuming sandbox Tatooine, where one inhabitant would grow up and leave a lasting mark on the Galaxy.
My suggestion for possible places are: the Incipisphere from Homestuck, the Beacon Academy from RWBY, Orzammar from Dragon Age Origins, the Twilight Realm from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the Spanish town from Resident Evil 4, Anor Londo and New Londo from Dark Souls, etc.
Not a single translation mistake in the subtitles .. pretty rare .. just by pure accident i had it on still from watching a previous video earlier today. And then i noticed, everything was translated and shown perfectly for once. I could of course understand her, since she spoke so clearly. But i keep em on entire video since i got curious. Are they homemade ? or did RUclips really get it right for once ? :P
Earth Spacedock, Utopia Planitia, or DS9 would do well here. The Citadel of the Time Lords, Torchwood Three, or even the TARDIS would be fine here as well.
Which one are you calling the "original"? Hundred year darkness era? Great Hyperspace War era? Great Galactic Wars (swtor) era? Sith Brotherhood era? Other than the religion of the ruling class these are completely different organizations.
Mathew Smith But the one from SWTOR are the ones who fled from the Jedi extermination under the leadership of Vitiate to Dromund Kaas. It's the same Sith Empire.
The Great Hyperspace Wars version was a feudal system led by a warrior aristocracy. The SWTOR version are a regimented fascist state led by a council of Sith at the head of bureaucratic departments. They're not the same thing. All of the Sith groups have that kind of continuity, right back to the first split on Tython. Either a few survivors escape, or the teachings are rediscovered. The religion stays the same, but the empires they build are different.
Hey can you do something about homeworld like higgara or kharak or like sajuk. Or you know something like that the homeworld universe features many stuff you can make videos about.
The double city-state of Ankh-Morpork from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series would be a great topc for Atlas, also the Kingdom of Lancre from the same series. The Discworld series has a very rich multiverse that has not been touched upon by the Templin Institute.
Luke Munoz I’m going to assume from Star Wars? And is it legends or Canon? Or would you be talking about the First Galactic Empire from the Foundation Series?
Luke Munoz Yup. Legends Empire is Best Empire, current one is just... uuuuuuuggggghhhhhh... They wasted a great opportunity by getting rid of Thrawn at the end of Rebels. It makes no sense anyways - why send your greatest commander to fight local rebels? Like, what the hell, why not keep them to fight the ENTIRE rebellion, instead of one Outer Rim planet? Well, yeah, Legends Empire is actually competent.
Thanks to Gaming Ambiance for providing a lot of the footage used in this video! Check em out! ruclips.net/channel/UCRQo9K9EMR1etIaZZ9_iPvA
Make a video about Korhal in starcraft
The Templin Institute. Could you do an episode on Reach from the halo universe?
The Templin Institute I believe the DS-1 orbital Battlestation would be a very interesting topic
Very impressive stuff you all got going on here :)

I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite video on the Citadel! :D
I would love to see an Atlas video about Babylon 5.
Yes!
Babylon 5, an underrated series.........
Homeworld: Deserts of Karak would be an excellent place to visit in an Atlas episode with a surprisingly rich lore and culture to explore
You could say Andromeda really had a MASS EFFECT on the fandom
I’ll see myself out wheres the door

Samus Aran CZ
Two more people after my little black heart.
I'm also waiting for both the Dalek Empire and the Time Lords.

The Vong? they haven't even done a video on the Galactic Empire yet!
While yes, I want Bestiary, I think Atlas was a good choice. Bestiary will probably be next though, so it’s just a matter of time and patience.
Bestiary represent!

Deep Space 9 from Star Trek
Babylon 5 from Babylon 5
Korriban from Star Wars: Legends canon

The Well of Eternity/Maelstrom from the WarCraft universe.

I'm utterly impressed by the quality of your work. Nicely done! This one is definitely my favorite Templin Institute video on the Citadel.

Well, with Atlas now officially in, I think an episode on the Wall is in order. Or perhaps a more specific location on the Wall: the Nightfort.
