I just got accepted into grad school and I've been watching your videos. I'm so excited. Im not a typical student. I dont have a speech background. My bachelor's is in education and I am currently a teacher. I hope that the transition between these two fields is a smooth one.
I just received my acceptance letter today for grad school! I’m excited and a bit nervous! I just subscribed & looking forward to more of your videos videos 💜
I'm finishing up my first year this week, it's hard to believe it went by so fast! I also work part time and I'm so grateful my employer has been so flexible with me... but it's definitely tough to do both grad school and work. My off campus placement this semester was at an assisted living facility, and I loved it so much! My cohorts first round of diagnostic evaluations is in the next two weeks. I'm so stressed and nervous for it, but your video reminded me of my WHY. Thank you for sharing ! :)
I am in my 2nd trimester in grad school. Thank you for the book recommendation. Also I am new to your videos and I really enjoy listening. You provide great tips. Keep up the good work!!
I got my MA in teaching ESL students with Linguistics and BA in Linguistics. My school didn't have the SLP program and after having two kids, I am thinking of going to school again. SLP is another area I'm interested in. Thank you for your video. :)
I had a very similar experience to you with grad school. My 1st semester I had one articulation client and 2nd semester I had 3 clients. That’s all along with 5 classes (at the most) with each semester. 2nd semester was the hardest semester of school that I have ever had in my life. Now, I’m about to graduate in May so... it paid off in the end.
Hi! I’m rising senior in a CSD program at my school, I’ve struggled a bit in my undergrad experience but I’m working so hard to achieve my diploma, I am a little nervous for grad school and wanted to know if it’s truly what people say that it’s all consuming or do you have time for yourself? I’m an already anxious person and I’ve had some anxiety issues with grad school so I was just wanting some advice!!
Loved your informational video & subscribed! 😘 I just graduated with my Masters in SLP & I am seeking my bilingual extension! We really picked the best field out there 😊✨♥️
I hope they sponsored you cause girl I ordered that book asap with the link. Really appreciate the video (ps, totally unrelated, but your hair is looking bomb!)
Hi! I am almost a senior in college, have been working towards a BA in psych, and I am just now realizing my passion for SLP. I found a masters program that has an option for out-of-field students, which basically says it offers the courses i would need to catch up, within the actual program. but I'm confused -- does this mean i don't have to take any slp courses to get in? I know this may be a question for the school itself but I thought I would check here first...any insight would be deeply appreciated. I have so much anxiety about this new-found goal and I hope there is a way to reach it..
Haley hey!! You would love the field! In most instances, you don’t take the SLP related courses until you start the graduate program. It may take you a little longer to finish, but many students do it!
Hey! This is the first video which I watched on your channel. You seem more positive than other people, who I have watched about grad school. Can you make a video on like what were the academic challenges or challenges in general in masters for an SLP. Tips to survive grad school. What it is like? Thanks

of course! I'll get on that. Thank you for the input!
Thanks for this video! I'll be looking for that book!
You’re so welcome!
Great video! Sounds like grad school won't be easy but it'll be worth the sacrifice.
The struggle is real! But so is the reward :)

Great video!
Do you get paid for your 2nd year internship?
Unfortunately, externships are unpaid in the majority of cases :/
