This video is SO helpful! I just got accepted into grad school and I am honestly terrified. I already have imposter syndrome and I haven’t even started grad school yet. Thank you for being so open and honest yet still remaining positive!
Congratulations!! That's an amazing milestone, so happy for you :) grad school is challenging but it's so worth it. The most important thing is time management, organization, and project planning. That's how I was able to graduate 1 year earlier and with honors! I've learned so much while I was getting my Master's!
@@anamarie97 Thank you so much! Idk why I’m just now seeing this comment but I appreciate your kind words greatly ❤️ Congrats on graduation a year earlier and with honors thats amazing!
I’m so glad to hear you speak on #2!! That is something I foresee myself struggling with and I FELT #3 with my whole body 😂 thank you for all your honesty and encouragement ❤️
Hi There! I am in my 2nd year of graduate school and started my at my first externship placement 3 weeks ago. I really appreciate you being so honest with us about what you have experienced. It makes me feel less alone and also have faith that I will get through this!
I just found your account and it couldn’t have come at a better time! I was just accepted to grad school for SLP and I’m terrified 😅 I am especially worried about #2&3. Thank you for these videos!
I’m so happy to see this channel. I’m graduating undergrad next semester and doing grad applications now. I’m a first generation college student from very “humble beginnings”. Imposter syndrome has been eating at me for a while 😭
Having the wisdom of God definitely helps you maneuver through a Grad program. Yes application of knowledge was very difficult for me too. I had to start learning the info while simultaneously learning application. I wish I would have known that imposter syndrome is Real. We are definitely capable of getting through. Great tips, thanks!
Starting early makes a huge difference! If you project plan all your major assignments ahead of time, create a schedule for yourself, and stay organized you'll be able to do quality work. Resulting in a better grade! 😄
Thanks so much for your wonderful videos! I was wondering if you have any words of wisdom on the topic of adding a full or part time TA position on top of the student schedule? I'm so anxious about my finances and TA positions would help with tuition. However, I also don't want to be so exhausted all the time that my focus is compromised. Maybe the extra debt is worth it in exchange for a better learning experience?
Erica Puga hey! To be honest, my CFY rate was terrible. I took the first job I was offered and looking back, I regret that. I wasn’t getting paid anywhere near what I deserved and just now feel like I’m being compensated the way I should. People will lowball you. Some employers feel our roles aren’t important but advocate for yourself!

That why I don’t want to go to grad school, because I’m not in the position where I can just go to school and not work, thanks for the information
It is possible to work, it may be challenging, but is possible! Especially if working part-time or a flexible job.
I'm more happier and less anxiety during grad school than undergraduate, cause...online I think lol
Hey Girl! How is the pay compared to what you thought it would be before you got into the field?

Also, do you feel like you have to take a lot of work home?
@@ericaalyssa1244 Nope, i try to keep work at work . It's a work in progress. I do read research articles in my spare time to help my patients.
What is imposture syndrome? I am starting grad school this fall?
The feeling that you don’t deserve to be in a space you are taking up!
Good luck to you!
