This is where you want to see John John ripping those huge carving turns that he was crushing last year. I've heard that it is a hell of a lot of paddling out there to stay in position because of how much water is moving around. That's what I've heard. I've never gotten the pleasure of Surfing out there. But wouldnt it be nice if i ever do. RLTW 3/75
Its crazy to me what these surfers can do on a shortboard with all the water moving,size of the wave and stout wind. I’m not saying I’d paddle out there but if I did I’d absolutely be on my 6’10 mini gun.
Keep in mind most of these guys are in the 5’6” to 5’9” range and are weighing anywhere from 135 lbs to 165lbs. Therefore they can ride boards in the 6’ to 6’4” range in this size of waves.
