Living with Diabetes: A Conversation with Crystal Bowersox

Earlier this year, ProMedica opened the doors of its new Mary Ellen Falzone Diabetes Center. Named for a local girl who lost her life to undiagnosed diabetes, the Center offers a unique approach to providing coordinated care to adult and pediatric patients with diabetes. At the facility's April dedication event, local celebrity and former American Idol finalist Crystal Bowersox spoke about her struggles growing up with diabetes and her ongoing work to support and encourage others with diabetes to better manage their care. We sat down with Crystal to learn how she is handling her diabetes today and how it has transformed her life.
