what impressed me the most, were the card choices you made to balance everything up. Eeverything was on a very similar level alltogether and had interesting effects without some cards being too overpowered. It requires a lot of card knowledge to achieve it like that. Andrew, you are without a doubt an absolute ptcg master. Also enjoyed the dynamic in the battles between the contestants and warmed my heart by the nostalgic cards with some of the older holo pattern. Awesome video dude, I would love to watch a draft battle like this anytime again!
This is awesome! Love all the throwback cards and seeing how each player strategized their deck with only 40 cards! This makes me want to play the tcg so much more!
Very cool video! Loved the breakdown of every participant's deck before the start of the first match. Would love to see more of this kind of content in the future!
Great video! Loved the production effort behind the titles and card showcases. Also liked the switching between games, it definitely helped keep the flow and pace of the video up during the battles. There are a few improvements I’d like to note for future videos. One, I think the music was loud, often it drowned out the commentary. Two, I would have liked a little more insight into the deck building, especially during Packs 2 and 3. I would like to know more if players missed evo lines, or how/why strategies had to shift. Lastly, and maybe kinda overdone, but I wish there was a Champion’s interview and Prize Presentation at the end of the video. As the video is, the ending after the game felt abrupt. Anyways, definitely want this kind of video again. Hopefully next time can be a Rocket’s Cube competition (and everyone must wear Team Rocket garb :) ). Thank you again!
Limit 1, GLC, older cards, this is where my heart is! This is why i love playing PKMN TCG! My son and I started bulding our own GLC decks and it has been a blast!
Incredible tournament, well done to you and the players. I'd love to watch more of these! I also really envy your collection, especially the ex-series (3rd gen) cards as those are my favourite.
BRO THE TIMING! I'm building and sleeving my own cube as I watch this video. I've beed doing it little by little for a while now. And my cube is also from the og ex era with diamojd and peral cards, except I extended to up to the HGSS era since I didnt have nough cards to fill a cube with just those two. But og ex up to hgss is still the best, golden era of pokemon TCG imho. My favorite one, and the one that feels the most balanced to me. Basics are the supports and Stage 1s and 2s are the stars fonthe show for the most part, opposing to nowadays big basics takeover with evolutions being there jsut for support. Great video fam, this is peak content.
One of my friends built this cube (lightly modded it, but most of it is the same) and I managed to draft a 2-2-1 Waterlog Blastoise line and a 1-1-1 Swampert ex line (with the plunge Marshtomp too!) both times we played and that felt NUTTY to get the combo off
Won’t lie, I’ve veen very tempted to make a Pokemon cube with my vintage cards, base set to fossil, and also neo genesis, discovery, and revelations. I also wish more people did videos like this for other TCGs. Drafting is so fun. I love drafting in Magic the Gathering.
What an absolute banger to start off 2025!🙌🏻🎉 This was so much fun and the edit was perfect 👌🏻 I love sealed or draft formats 💚 They are always good for a surprise 😅 Great work with everything Andrew! 💐
What a great production you did amazing work on it. And so did the players. I hope you continue to do more productions like this because I know I enjoyed it and I know many more of your viewers will as well keep up the amazing work Tricky Gym!!
Amazing video, my favourite ever of yours. I always wanted to build a cube myself and this video might have just tipped me over the edge to actually start working on one
I just finished building my cube starting from sun and moon and on and I've been looking for videos from content creators to get ideas and you release this! Fantastic timing
There are a few modern cards I glimpsed, but mostly Supporters like Allister. It is worth noting though that Ditto Prism Star from the Sun/Moon sets seems to be a popular card teched in most Retro/Vintage Cubes, so there might be some handful of modern cards that can be splashed in these depending on it's power curve.
@ Yes, there are so many good cards with a supporting in modern but I'd love to use the cards I grew up with (SM era) against cards older players grew up with but the numbers make it impossible. I've thought about standardising the numbers and printing custom cards to level the playing field but being able to play with your own cards feels better
Thank you for adding the Saddam Hussein larvitar in the first ten seconds of the video this is a big day for Saddam Hussein larvitar fans
9:33 it shows up too mr. chef
MAHONE! MAKE THIS A SERIES AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!
Bro exactly, cube is peak format, specially a gen 3-4 cube like this, it was by far the best tcg era.
I second this, make it a series it's fun watching them make decks and seeing them be played out.

No one does it like you. Hooked from the first 30 seconds. I would LOVE for this to continue
This is awesome! Love all the throwback cards and seeing how each player strategized their deck with only 40 cards! This makes me want to play the tcg so much more!
Killer vid! Must’ve been insane to film and edit 8+ cameras.
Very cool video! Loved the breakdown of every participant's deck before the start of the first match. Would love to see more of this kind of content in the future!
The 2025 brings peak, this change in videos is massive, hope it nevers fades.
40:12 Ian Robb??
What a great way to start a Friday!!!
Pokemon TCG Draft content? I'm so hyped. I would kill for Pokemon to embrace Limited and casual multiplayer formats like WotC did with Magic.
one day i will show this video to my firstborn child
😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️

Such a fun video! Would love to see more of these cube vids in this style. Really loved seeing all the decks come together!
Spectacular video! The commentary was super helpful, and I was able to understand every move!
Oh man. This turned out amazing!!! Now I just have the itch to cube again… and do better this time lol
I believe in the Supreme Alec Comeback episode 🫡
Sweet video and production. I was pulling for Holtz and his deck. Nice playing by everyone!
YOOOOO the finals was so hype with the music and commentary my heart rate legit increased. Crazy when a close game comes down to a coin flip!
From a production standpoint, this is great! Cool cube and decks, great commentary, easy to follow and a good pace. Loved this!! Hoping for more.
Incredible tournament, well done to you and the players. I'd love to watch more of these! I also really envy your collection, especially the ex-series (3rd gen) cards as those are my favourite.
the video format and production was on point, we need more of this type of content

Andrew this is so cool, can’t wait to see what your new adventures in tabletop gaming brings all of us . Keep killing it!
The amount of editing this must have taken….just such a good job on this, Andrew! Love this so much. And love seeing so many personalities!

This should be a whole ass TV series! It was such a delight to watch!

Mahone is the GOAT of Pokemon TCG. Thanks for the great content again and again and again, keep it up.
Alex Carpenter seems such a fun guy! I'll keep rooting for him 💪🏻
This video should win an Oscar
Craig going down round 1 was unexpected lol.
This is so neat
This would be so fun to do with newer cards as well if power creep wasn't so extreme
