I've introduced so many friends and family to Skynd. Such powerful music AND music videos. I hope so badly they come tour in the US so I can see them live. I know that would be such a powerful concert.
SKYND is a walking piece of beautiful dark art, and Father is a mix master! I swear that dude bats 1.000! I hope these two never let anything come between them, because what they create is a unique and beautiful art
@@JenniferLee-yv6nw Karin is 48 years old. I am not convinced Skynd is that old. I think it could be Marina Ortega. But again, I think that is the beauty of her anonymity.
I discovered SKYND over Easter. I fell into the deep hole of RUclips and the Gary heidnik video kept popping up, I clicked and I was instantly hooked. Can’t wait to see what more the future holds for them. Love you SKYND.
I I seek out every comment section. It is the only place I encounter other fans. The music freaks out everyone I know and play it for. Armin Mewes just wrecked all the folks at my work. I couldn't wait to play it after it was released. I'm a chef, so imagine my crew's shock and disbelief. I've long ago set the baseline of my madness and my musical taste. Someone described it as eclectic with malice and aforethought. She has only increased that.
It's such a juxtaposition how they make such dark music, yet so sunny and friendly in disposition. I'd think that it'd be awesome if Father turned out to really be her dad. Also probably would never quit laughing as well
That would be funny, but I’m sure he’s not. He doesn’t seem that much older than her, for one thing, and for another, she says she met him at an outdoor party, in the Australian bush, and when she first saw him, he was rocking himself on a stone, doing his own thing, and she thought it kind of strange. 🤔 I highly doubt that’s how she would have met her own biological father for the first time. Somebody else in the comments under this video claimed that SKYND and Father were brother and sister, IRL. I don’t believe they are actually biologically related to each other, although I don’t know them, personally, so I don’t know they’re not, for sure; but I do believe they have a close relationship with each other that may make it *seem* like they are each other’s family. And I believe they probably feel like family to/with each other. I am glad they did meet and find the wonderful connection and understanding they have with each other, and I’m glad they formed their band with each other and are sharing their awesome creativity with the world, now. Long live SKYND! 💯
Ha ha ha! Yeah, what a *chatterbox* he is, huh? 😂 Seriously, though, I wonder what Father’s voice even sounds like, because I’ve never heard it. I think this is the third SKYND interview I’ve seen (so far) at which he’s been present and not said a single word out loud. It was kind of funny, watching SKYND keep looking at Father, as if he might have something to say or to add to what she was saying, and he just sat there in silence, as he usually does, in interviews, from what I’ve observed. I’m glad, at least, he was there, too, and showing his face, well, in a manner of speaking, albeit his masked face. 🎭 I really wonder what his face looks like, too, but I know he must like keeping everybody wondering, and I am pretty sure he will never show his natural face to the audience/us fans. The mystery of SKYND (the band: both SKYND, the lady/singer, and Father) is part of the appeal of them and is alluring to so many of us, I’m sure! 💯
@@anghusmorgenholz1060 well, that's clear. I cannot tell you if she's from the German, French or Italian speaking region in Switzerland.... For me as a native speaking German, I don't hear any strong accent, neither French, Italian, n'or German.... But of course you can continue your own research...
@@JM-gj3fi I was merely curious. I enjoy figuring things like that out. People have traveled everywhere and we are approaching a time when national identities are going to be not meaningless but of much less import. I am too lazy to really research it.
I think they are doing a very good job with telling the stories, while not romanticizing the people who did those horrible things. And in one video and song the focus is on the victim and not giving any "air time" to the person who was the evil in the story. If anybody gets the idea, that they are glorifying these cases osm, is so far from the truth.
Playing at Rock am Park is fitting for Skynd because that festival takes place in Nuremberg (English spelling), where there were many Nazi rallies as well as the Nuremberg trials. I wish that I could have been there this year to see them as well as the historical sights that the town had to offer.
I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and I'll say they talked about true crimes about what happened yeah for that they have my respect and I like there music real knows real
This is the only music that genuinely makes me a little sick. Don´t get me wrong, SKYND makes awesome music but it´s just too real, the words have actual meaning behind them if thast makes sense.
Makes perfect sense. And that's what music is about, making you feel. When a song hits you a certain way say in your case "little sick" then you know you found the right genre of music for you. Music is art and art is supposed to bring out all of our emotions within. If it don't then it's not for you. When I first heard night stalker it made me a little sick too, but I couldn't stop listening to it and still play it til this day.
Skynd is very experienced in being asked questions. The interviewer is still learning her craft and will probably get better over time. Also reading questions from a card looks awkward because it's not a natural conversation.
People commenting like these two are new on the music scene lol. This is Karin Dreijer and her brother Olof. They are also known as a project called The Knife… and she is Fever Ray and just dropped a new album.
Skynd is one of my favorite bands. They are storytellers and music is their delivery
Skynd is so amazing I love them the first song I heard from them was Gary Heidnik and that's when I fell in love
Same here
mine 2! :D
Saaaame I love Jonathan Davis and if he is willing to financially back them up, I'm gonna listen...my whole family loves Skynd now
First song I came across was columbine
Same
There are always certain people offended by anything and everything
Just keep doing what you doing Skynd
You are awesome :D

She seems so humble.
One of the best bands of this era for sure.
SKYND the gift that keeps on giving 🖤🖤🖤
Great interviewer🖤
I love them... I recently discovered them and their music let me FROZEN. They're ashtonishing good storytellers.

Beautiful dark angel 🖤❤️
At first i didnt knew why their videos are so dark, tho each time i hear a new song from them i understand the "why"!
They are basically putting a documentary into a song , it’s amazing 🤩 xxx 👌🏼🤠❤️😈😇✌🏼☮️🤯🐉🥰

Skynd 👏🏼🥰
Even though, technically they're not true crime, I'd like to hear them do Helter Skelter and Maxwell's Silver Hammer from the Beatles.
Loved it🫣🤘🏻
I'd love to hear her do a song about Chris Benoit.
I have never heard of him. Is he a serial killer?
They need to make a song about jinnkid
Does anyone know what country she is from originally. I can't place her accent.
Their true identities are secret. You can maybe figure it out via internet sleuthing but I'd respect their boundaries
She's from Switzerland, as far as I know. But the band "skynd" is formed in Australia, as I found out in a previous interview.
@@JM-gj3fi thanks. The Swiss accent is different. Some sound almost Italian while others have a German or even French sound

The energy between the plaid girl and the band is a bit cringe. I wonder if it was accidental?

that’s literally not who they are
