She seems to control everything in her music videos, especially her facial expression, but the way she looks uncomfortable when it isn't scripted in contrast is... Kinda cute. Makes you remember artists are just humans like us and not some kind of god.
I think what you are seeing in a lesser confidence in her English language. Though probably a bit of anxiousness about being interviewed this was 4 years ago after all, she was fairly small at the time, nothing like now anyway or even 2 years ago when you posted your comment. Though you can see she gets a little more comfortable as it goes on. Hell of a smile though. So big and bright. For someone who sings and makes videos about such dark things. You can tell her music gives her a true outlet for negative emotion.
A lot of musicians from the far side of the Metal spectrum (sounds stupid but I am at a loss for more precise words, sorry) are surprisingly mellow.... Marilyn Manson, for example or the band members of Rammstein, Nergal from Behemoth - it makes sense, they have an outlet for stress or anger.
SKYND is the Perfect blend of Darkness and Sexiness ... Their vocals are mesmerizing - a true enchantress. . Insanely Perfect music blends and The Voice of Dreams. SKYND is more addictive than hardcore drugs...
They had me interested literally just found their music tonight now a year later from this upload but than they said one of their biggest inspirations is Die Antwoord. Wonder how she would answer if asked that question again would she still feel the same?!
Finally. A band who tell true crime stories. I'm ready for this. All those nights binge watching serial killer documentaries and legendary killers are gonna pay off!!
its amazing to be in the generation of getting to hear new bands like this and to grow with the fanbase. i love this band and everything they have created so far has just blown my mind i cant wait for more and i hope that so much more content is put out. if i had the cash i would drop it on a SKYND CD right now if it was on a disc cause i love everything about this band from the makeup, to the videos. as i've said before i think its pure genius using things in our history and putting music to it. what better way to teach then through the one thing that is used every hour of every day. from cell phones to ipads, laptops, car radios, etc music is everywhere all the time. Great stuff truly an awesome band
I been jaming the shit out this group . I want see them playn here in Texas. I going see korn in jun in Dallas. Wish they were opening for korn . I fuckn love this band
I LOVE ME SOME SKYND! She got some facts a bit mixed up in her interview but i can tell she isn't a "Interview me" type of person as i wouldn't be either lol. So i cannot bash her for that, she knows her talent is in music and telling a story within it. That is Unique and simply sexy in itself. Lose for the interview but HUGE WIN for the music! Keep being awesome and wicked! Bless Be!
LOVE WHAT IM SEEIN HERE !I only discovered it this band is not even two weeks ago and I have not been able to stop watching her amazing visuals in her music videos and her voice is also amazing and it’s just a whole new sound she’s kind of bringing to the table I think this is great
"the knife" aka "fever ray" aka "skynd" ALL THE SAME PEOPLE. Die Antwoord did it too. The newest incarnation of some very prolific musicians. Beautiful!
got some news for you buddy, it's not Karin Dreijer, her name is Marina Ortega and she's Swiss. You can find some pics and vids of her where you can clearly see they're the same person : same face, eyes, teeth, behavior and even tattoos :)
SKYND has awesome music, a beautiful face, and tons of potential, but she seems a little superficially informed with her comments and videos. Gary Heidnick preyed on black women, but the music video is all white people. Katherine Knight, in this interview was called a 'normal woman'. Katherine Knight was a lunatic, far from normal. She didn't kill for love, she killed because she was given too much leniency with regards to previous incidents involving her penchant for rage and physical aggression, including stabbings and infant abuse.
I'm sure she's aware. She probably changed a few details on purpose. I mean the way we are so politically correct nowadays do you think people would look into a bunch a black woman getting chopped up by a white man in a video as a history lesson or racist propaganda?
Opl would think the world was on fire if they used black women. Also I thinm theres a language barrier lol english ismther first language so i think shes not use to expressing her thoughts fully in english so they become distorted because shes not sure of the proper or correct phrasing.
What kind of a world do we live in that a singer is making videos practically glorifying serial killers and the main concern is what race the victims are depicted as? Really let that sink in for a moment
@@wolfhawk1999 How do you figure these songs are "glorifying" what happened? In no way do the lyrics come across as telling people that this is something they SHOULD do. Much like Sabaton, who sing about wars past, it's not about the glory, it's about remembering our history.
They tell a story, ''Popular on internet forums around the time of Lam's death in 2013 was the "Elevator Game." Originating in Korea, the elevator game only gained notoriety when it became coupled with Lam's case, which seems to perfectly illustrate its principles. A truly bizarre concept, the elevator game posits elevators in certain buildings with the ability to literally transcend dimensions, to cross over and cross back with the click of a button. The point of the game is to reach the tenth floor, a dimension in which nothing exists but the player.''
4 2 6 2 10 5 1, the numbers are an important part of that ''story'', its mostly speculations and a case where you pretty much make up your own conclusion. I'm not gonna look it up or try to explain it further, you clearly made your mind already. But i guess that was a nice discussion, have a great day and All Hail Satan!!
Eric: I know the point you are making. If anything it's morbid and they are cashing in not just on the glorification of serial killers, but on the deaths of victims. This is poor form and in my opinion going too far. They could make equally as good music without the morbid influences.
This group reminds me of Macabre when she says story telling. Love SKYND! It got recommend to me in my feed and this is thee best recommendation ever!!
She is so beautiful 🖤🖤🖤 and so is her music, much love and respect🖤 I am so happy I found you guys. I listen to your songs every day. They move me inside like no other. Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity 🖤🖤🖤 I hope to hear more songs and one get to see you in concert🌚🌚🖤🖤

as far as i have been able to tell, nobody knows. it's just her known as Skynd and the guy is (F) for "Father" .. they're the next generation dark twin flame group like Die Antwoord. and i love it :)
Saw them at Download, they had a live guitarist and drummer, both dressed like Father. So don't even know which one he was (might have been neither for all we know). Hope they can keep the mystery going for a while.
Okay ive followed them from day one and i cant find a single thing about where theyre actually from... Aulstrailia? But the accent doesnt sound Aulstrailian.... its driving me nuts.
witnessing the rise of a new legend in music. In love already.
Michael Vargas i know right :) cannot waaait for their first album :)

great story about J. Davis, because his featuring went totally cool.
Absolutely love this band
I'll have a historian nerdgasm if she makes a song about Elizabeth Bathory or Ivan the Terrible.

They need to put out more material. Great potential here.
They’re not metal but I DO like them.
Same :D
They're more metal than a lot of metal bands.
@mrbozohead was one of the bands I made a point not too miss! They need a bigger stage than the Dogtooth tent, that is for sure!

has metal elements so its a fusion mix basically

Band called Macabre, all their song are about serial killers, they have an album dedicate to Dahmer
