  • Jennifer Esposito is a veteran actress who mortgaged her house to finish making the movie she’s wanted to make since she was a teenager. She wrote, directed, and stars in Fresh Kills about growing up in the world of the mafia in Staten Island. It’s a smart, touching portrait of young women in crisis and it shows Jen as a talented filmmaker and a great actress. Plus, we figure out that we worked together 30 years ago. For real. Awesome conversation.

    One of the most beautiful women on the planet... and a great actor. Always been a big fan and kept an eye out for movies she's in, (if she's in it, it'll be worth watching). This interview sheds a new light. Great to see her branching out like this. Can't wait to see her film!

    Amazing movie that tells a story about so many young girls in homes with a dominant parent that is shown in this film. It was so well written that I felt like I was back home again. It was so good.

    Love Jen - such an inspiration for all of us in the business and community. And this Coffee Shop detour *killed me*. That place was such a scene! All the beautiful people. No place better than NYC in the 90s.

      I'm 12 mins in and so far she's complained about being offered awesome mafia movies, not being 'allowed' to be the star, being asked to come in on her day off and and to change her hairstyle. There may be a legit grievance in here somewhere but I won't make it that far.

    I wonder who the ppl are that she knows that are those characters. In staten island, she grew up in bullshead where sammy the bull had a home. I know she went to moore. Those were the days when girls were real physical and bullying was
    Wildly out of control

      She was defending not being the biggest thing in Hollywood...the guy made her feel small. So she went on the attack of Hollywood types....but she had a good career...nobody can take that away

  • @gachatomboi7978
    @gachatomboi7978 Год назад +3

    I find her unrelatable and unlikesble. Poor me, she’s been a working actress since her 20’s. How many actresses would love to say that. Poor me I got spanked, poor me I’m so pretty that it hindered my career. Poor me my manager asked me to be polite to my coworker’s. Poor me I had to wait tables. Funny how they worked in same place yet she didn’t know this guy. Cause she’s obnoxious, thinks way too highly of herself. Not a fan of this entitled, poor me I’m a victim chic.

    • @frankesposito2182
      @frankesposito2182 7 месяцев назад

      I think the guy accidentally was embarrassing her by saying..."You made this film because you didn't hit it big like Cameron Diaz" ....so she protected herself and should have said """look...I have worked through the years and didn't get all the breaks" ...but here I am now...I made a movie""" (The guy was being insensitive and she defended big time...by dropping Spike Lee's name and stuff.
