- Resident Evil 4's Platinum is for PROFESSIONALS! In this video I get the Platinum Trophy for Resident Evil 4 Remake. With a platinum difficulty of 8/10 and a total of 7 required playthroughs I still had so much fun grinding for every trophy in this game! The amount of replay value this game has to offer is amazing. This for me is my game of the year without a doubt!

I don't normally platinum, but I loved the game so much I HAD to do it, and I enjoyed every minute.
Same here, I’ve gotten every trophy besides pro s+ (i’ll do it soon)
The only other game where i also felt like that was God of War Ragnarok
No one fully enjoys a platinum. It’s like they make game trophies so hard to get half the time

it's good to see someone putting themselves through this on console. most re4 gamers are playing animation capped at 60 fps, running the game at 120 fps gaining a massive advantage, console gamers are where the professional gameplay is at ;) i got the plat but now im back at it, doing my s+ professional without any bonus weapons, just cleared the water hall and i'm still under 2 hrs.

Awesome! Just got my platinum trophy an hour ago. The S+ Rank speed runs on Hardcore and Professional was excruciating to play through lol took me 3 weeks but it's finally all complete!
damn it took me 160+ hours to get all the trophies, you are a beast sir
Only took me four playthroughs
- First one for fun - obtained all treasures and completed requests
- NG+ on assisted, no healing, no merchant, pistol + knife only
- NG+ on Professional in under 7 hours (used infinite RPG) - to unlock the Sweeper
- NG on Professional (under 5:30 minutes) for S+ rank (stacks with S+ standard and hardcore)
Don’t you need S+ Hardcore and S+ Normal ? Can’t do them on NG+, and they don’t stack with the Pro trophy …
I did Hardcore S+ (4h) and it didn’t unlocked Normal S+.
Then, I did Pro S+ (easier with Ashley’s armor), and it didn’t unlocked either
So I had to do a final Normal S+ run
(Still did it in 4, Assisted for the treasures => Hardcore S+ => Pro S+ no bonus weapons (for the handcannon) => Normal S+ handgun no merchant no heal (easy with cat ears))

I'm a casual gamer and it took me 2 weeks to platinum. It was annoying in some parts but there are more difficult platinums. I thought the shooting range was the hardest trophy in the set
The shooting range for me was pain, I cut so much rage out of the video lol

BABE WAKE UP MACATTACK IS BACK
for peeps wondering about faster ways to complete those restrictive playthrough challenges, here's how I did them : enjoy your first playthrough on whatever difficulty, you probably didn't get any rank achievements for this one. If you were on standard or assisted , make sure to sell everything at the final merchant except a sniper rifle + scope , buy 1 rpg for the final boss and spam the rest on first aid sprays(put them in your typewriter storage when you are full in inventory), finish the final boss quickly with 1 rpg shot to his face. in ng+ select pro diff. Use whatever strat you like to walk around the first zombie , then run all the way to the village section. shoot the bell to end it instantly with your sniper. From that point on, it's just a straight sprint to the end of chapter , skipping all the enemies and pickups as much as possible (you only have some first aids sprays and a sniper at this point lol). in chp 2 , make it through the knife only section as normal, is super easy even on pro. Get to the merchant, this is where the fun begins. first aid sprays are cheaper to buy and sell on lower difficulties. by stocking up in assisted/standard you effectively multiply your money. for most people this should then be enough to afford the inf rpg. inf rpg through the rest of the game to get pro s rank.This will give you ashley armour and chicago typewriter. Start a new save on pro. (this is the hard bit) , use everything you have to scrape through the first 7 chapters (REMEMBER TO EQUIP ASHLEY ARMOUR) and completing all bar the savage mutt request. doing this should get you to 30+ spinels by the first castle merchant. this merchant is the earliest point where you can buy the exclusive upgrade ticket. sell all the guns apart from the sniper (for ranged stuff) and pistol (used for a castle skip) , upgrade chicago with ticket to get inf ammo. use inf ammo chicago to blast through the rest of the game quickly and with low saves to get s+. some tips for this one : remember you don't have to save between chapters you can skip saving between chapters if you felt like those chapters are easy. Early game , upgrade the sniper early for an easy time on the bosses and cabin. The sniper does a lot of dmg when upgraded and you don't whiff. At the end of this playthrough you would have gotten cat ears to give you infinite ammo. this is the time to return to your original save , start from the final merchant again , sell everything to buy matilda + stock + full upgrades . Start a new game+ run on assisted, speedrun the game again to get no merchant , knives + pistol run and no healing run done (assisted has hp regen from red zone). The final run will be on a new save again. use infinite ammo cat ears to burn through pro again , this time all you have to do is not use the chicago/primal knife/handcannon . And you can take as long and as many saves as you want. And you are then done. at this point you can just hunt for any small achievements you may have missed like the gun game ones .

the perfect game, the mine, and the harpoon trophies had to be the hardest most tedious ones in this whole game dear lord
Fun fact, with the release of Mercenaries Mode there is now a much faster and easier way of getting the Handcanon trought there as a reward for getting an S rank on every scenario of that mode. I still advise ppl to play the campaign on Professional tough cause it is super fun.

@@sthepcorms6747 But it does not need to be with no special weapons anymore, or even a NG. You can do a NG+ with the infinite rocket launcher.

For the Verdugo fight, you should have been reading the notes. It literally tells you to freeze him before you can damage him.

-my first playthrough I finished through the game on standard,
-I will do assisted and getting every single treasure and much money as I can, and getting the missable trophies and all the castellans until I get the infinite launcher, and then I will speedrun my third playthrough doing nothing but just going through and kill everything with my infinite launcher and getting the chicago sweeper and then a fourth playthrough to do everything else
I'm at 30 playthroughs now? It's possible to full platinum in 4. Absolutely love this game. I'll be hitting 120 ish hours soon. Most runs only take 3 hours. It's super fun.

Good game. I played through it probably 30 times on PS2
I combined No Heal, Pistol Only and No Merchant into 1 run, but only after doing 2 chained plays so I could do this challenge on NG++ with enough money to upgrade my Primal Knife to Infinite durability and pistol to the max. I was doing perfect until Ramon - Because I lost all my health in like Chapter 8, I carried on with the 1 chunk of health that regenerates if you wait long enough from that point onward. Ramon broke me, so I split my run there, a mere hour or so from the end. So I spent an hour doing pistol only, no merchant WITH HEALS and then I did all weapons + merchant, rushing Ramon, Krauser and Saddler twice. It was alot of fun!! Now doing HC S+ which was LITERAL HELL until Chapter 7 where I upgraded my Headcannon to infinite ammo and now its a breeze to the end.
That 11% for dark souls 3 must be rectified

I managed to do it myself (putting over 150 hours into it) doing only 5 different playthroughs - although I will be honest when I say I split the “Minimalist”, “Silent Stranger”, and “Frugalist” trophies up when I tried to do a full Assisted New Game Plus playthrough to earn all 3 at once just before fighting Saddler to save myself trouble (so splitting them up, I earned “Minimalist” the first time - along with the “Sprinter” trophy just cause I took my time enjoying my first ever playthrough on Standard - and “Frugalist” and “Silent Stranger” the second time around). But honestly, if anyone who can earn this platinum doing only 3 playthroughs was a shining diamond, it’d be the biggest case of needle-in-a-haystack on the face of the earth.

I’m struggling with the S+ investigator trophy
Get the Chicago typewriter and get unlimited ammo with it as quick as possible.
I like how he just skipped the hardest achievements in the game in a 4 second skit
I feel like the video went too fast for 3+ playthroughs, it only skimmed over one of them
Done the platinum run 4 times now first was the standard grind away that you did now it’s just a 10hour jog from new account to plat the merc mode unlocking the handcannon has made this a free platinum anyone can get with no effort
I am still on first playthrough lol. I am enjoying it though. The original in 04 or 05, I would have probably platinum twice. That was when I actually had time though. Nice video.

From your commentary I assume that you haven't played the original RE4
Could have done it in 4 playthroughs. First one doesn't matter. Second NG+ professional for the S. Then the NG Professional for S+. Then NG+ on assisted to pistol only no heal no merchant
Don't you need just 3? 4 if you want an easier time?
1. Normal run
2. Easy ng+ no merchant / healing / pistol only
(3. Professional ng+)
4. Professional s+
That should get you all the run specific trophies.

Yes but you can’t earn S+, to get S+ it has to be a fresh new game.

That was 31h for the platinum :D
And now, with the mercenary, there is no way the difficulty is 8/10. When I did it, it was 5/10 max. Now, it’s like 3/10 because you can do it the lazy way.
The lazy way :
- Start with the Mercenaries (S+ easy, handcannon in 15 min)
- Buy an Exclusive ticket
- Enjoy your Handcannon with infinite ammo at the beginning of the game …
It’s definitely way easier now than on release

You can cut out the two S+ playthroughs by doing just 1 S+ playthrough on professional. Most people will want to unlock the cat ears anyway (infinite ammo).

Damn honestly I think the No Merchant / Pistol Knife Only / S+ runs make for more interesting content than the base game but you kinda just glossed over all of them lol. Also idk if you knew but getting S+ Professional actually gives you the achievements for Hardcore S+ and Standard S+, you don't actually have to do both separately. Doesn't work that way on Hardcore S+ for some reason though. It allowed me to cut down the number of runs significantly - Standard, Pistol + Knife only, No Healing No Merchant, and Professional S+ No Bonus Weapons.

You dont need to beat it seven times, if you get S+ on professional you will get for standard and hardcore also trophies for S+
I platted the game in only 3 play throughs. 1st in hardcore just to get used to the game and getting all collectibles. 2nd for the s+ professional
And 3rd run was knives/pistol only- no merchant-no heal on assisted.
If anybody has trouble with Verdugo I one shot him with rpg while he was frozen
I really need someone to answer this question. I played the og RE4 and I didn’t get a trophy for killing Del Lago and escaping Verdugo. Is the game glitched or did I do something wrong?

It's not that hard tbh, once u beat the game twice and start speed running it, it's a breeze.
