One thing is true,very soon india will achieve 100% electrification(judging by the progress),so after that only with these few trains we'll get to enjoy diesel locomotives (cuz BD is not going electric anytime before 2100)
Did someone notice one thing? The DM-3A 6521 loco have a secondary smaller chimney releasing smoke, above the exhaust grille just behind the cabin. Never saw a secondary chimney on an ALCo ever before. What is the significance of it. Can someone explain, please?

@Priyam Ganguly I noticed it after I saw your comment. To me it looked more or less like a pressure release (may be?). Either way it was sitting right above a radiator. (It is said that the WDMs operated by Bangladesh Railways are pretty much that same as they were in IR)
@@menonsans: I noticed that pressure release nozzle in other WDMs of Bangladesh Railways too. Question is what's the need to induct that nozzle in Bangladesh when no WDM ever needed it in India till date? Still no explanation even from IRFCA.

Because Indian loco pilot cannot go to bangladesh and vice versa. And they are trained to drive their own locos. Though alco is a gift from India.
