All I said was...this is a good recipe for those that have gluten intolerance! What the heck was wrong with that??!!!! I had to smile at your cute idea of using the oiled bottom of your skillet to make those butterfly in shadow play, a refreshment to the already nice video. I will make that potato pizza right today!!! Another thing, I get a bit frustrated with cooking videos nowadays, because they are needlessly long, meaning we have to see every single fruit/vegetable cut [for goodness sake we know how to cut garlic, onions, etc.!], also countless passing the food from a container to the other one, etc., it is like to make the video longer on purpose. I find them beautiful, do not mistake me, they are good, useful videos, and I have to say that they are master pieces of culinary art, but... it is getting absurd sometimes, and I can't avoid thinking about those moms that have little time to watch them and learn about innovative recipe to make for their children and family. Your video is detailed, also a culinary piece of art!!! but not in that annoying way I was talking about. I don't like to complain, that's why I do not comment about this particular to those cooks, because they are doing pretty videos anyways, and we appreciate that. I going to the kitchen to boil some potatoes 😁 I will use "arrow root" powder instead of corn starch, read that it is healthier.
Eating these right now! 🥰 I baked the flattened, corn-starch-coated potato disks in the oven, drizzling both sides with canola oil. I think I would have had a hard time in my particular frying pan. I put a bunch more toppings, including slivers of onion and lots of crushed red pepper flakes and rosemary… and they came out so yummy! This is a really cute, rustic idea, and I’d definitely do it again when I wanted something fun. I used bigger (chunks of) peeled potatoes to form the bases, so originally I used a tiny pot to smash them, but eventually I found it easier to press down on my spatula (or you could use a bench scraper, like the one Haru used to move them to the pan). The potatoes become like a flavor sponge… highly recommend trying these!

Yeah, I bet oregano, thyme, etc would be nicer. I crumbled on some dried rosemary, which I love on roasted potatoes, and it’s fantastic. I also used tons of crushed red pepper flakes, and together it reminds me of my favorite Italian restaurant & pizzaria from college.

Potato skins help to hold the shape. You can peel the potato skin. If the shape breaks due to this, you can add cornstarch and shape it by hands. Cornstarch helps to hold the shape.

It tasted ok, this recipe was very bland but fun concept. I would suggest swapping the tomato sauce for tomato paste and lay one fresh basil leaf down before the cherry tomato. The kids liked that better :) - Cooking the potato in chicken stock is really good too.

A tip: you can use chopsticks to cover the pan. Put them on the edge of the pan and cover it with the lid
This looks great. I think roasting or baking the potatoes instead of boiling would make them crispier. Defs going to try this.
