It's not often you can pinpoint an exact moment in time when you changed your mind. This song was one of those moments for me. A long time metalhead, this was the exact point when I gave up on metal, and turned to Kraftwerk and James Brown instead. This is when I started to despise Bon Jovi and all hair metal poodle rock bands. However, I would argue that your version is better than Bon Jovi, and that you have managed to redeem the song in my ears. You have managed to breathe life into what I felt was dead, by the energy of your performance. It feels more metal than they ever did. Good work.

It's not often you can pinpoint an exact moment in time when you changed your mind. This song was one of those moments for me. A long time metalhead, this was the exact point when I gave up on metal, and turned to Kraftwerk and James Brown instead. This is when I started to despise Bon Jovi and all hair metal poodle rock bands.
However, I would argue that your version is better than Bon Jovi, and that you have managed to redeem the song in my ears. You have managed to breathe life into what I felt was dead, by the energy of your performance. It feels more metal than they ever did. Good work.
