      @xxSATURNxx , thank you for your comments. Well, you did the right thing. If you can visit my playlist for “Chefknife” it can help you decide what you think if is appropriate for you. But if you really want a cleaver knife, i suggest to get this one, ruclips.net/video/FcVY2n7n_iI/видео.html far better than any expensive cleaver knife i got.

    I bought the Almazan kitchen's serbian chef knife but was very disappointed.The fact that the knife chipped after just a few sessions cutting vegetables on a wooden board is unacceptable. This clearly shows that the quality of the knife is subpar and not up to the standard one would expect from a professional chef knife. It's even more disappointing that the return policy only allows you to return the knife within 72 hours of receiving it, which is a clear sign of a scam.
    This kind of return policy is simply unacceptable for a product like this, and it suggests that the company is aware of the quality issues with the knife but is not willing to take responsibility for it. The return policy is clearly designed to take advantage of customers, and it shows a lack of concern for customer satisfaction.
    Long story short: the quality of the knife is poor, and the return policy is a clear sign of a scam. I suggest looking for a better quality knife from a reputable brand with a fair return policy.

    First, thank you for taking so much time reviewing and testing there steel. So, I was looking at both of these knives lately. After watching your review, if these actually happened to the knives. I say they are both week and unworthy of my hard earned money. I would rather buy Chinese made product and pay 30 to 40 dollars and outshine both of these knives. Awesome review!

      the shape of the knife looks good but the performance was not really as expected. I got worth $16 from aliexpress uses a lot and not a single chip till now :-)

    Just a little comment don’t think these knives are meant to be a cleaver and who the heck hits they’re knives with a hammer? All that being said it does look like they may not have been tempered properly. How about the stainless steel one? I bought the steel one and the XXL stainless steel one, was thinking of sending my son the steel one but now am having seconds thoughts. Thanks for the informative video.

    • @HERBSANDKNIFE
      @HERBSANDKNIFE  2 года назад

      Hi Bruce, Thank you for your comments.
      I admit my mistake. I was really testing if it can penitrate that easy to the fish bone with the help of rubber hammer.
      the kind of metal used is not really that well tempered really. it gets dulled really quick but its labeled as high quality carbon steel. bare in mind that Stainless steel is not that durable as carbon steel but the good thing, it does not rust.
      Frankly none of these are really recommendable. I now have more than 20 pcs of kitchen knife in my wall and I can say that these two knives are worth-it to keep. obviously made from cheap metal.
      my advise is to look for a local blacksmith and get a real handforged knife or visit Aliexpress, order direct from knife maker factory look for the metal with good edge retention like VG10 and so on.
      See below knife playlist to view some of my knife for your reference,

      I had a similar idea. Just because you have a chunky knife doesn't necessarily mean you should be pounding the sh!t out of it or that it is a substitute for a bone-breaking cleaver.
      I totally get the desire to get something with a vast array of uses if you're going to spend that much on it, but this might simply be a typical case of something that works great if you limit it to being used as intended, which in most cases seems to be just as a bit heftier and testosterone-laden version of a chef's knife.
      That being said, I don't know how they're advertising it currently. I bought my brother a chef model a few years ago and he loves it. It could be they're now saying you can use it to cut down trees. :D

    • @1995yuda
      @1995yuda 2 года назад

      @@AJHart-eg1ys You are spot on, buddy. Use this knife properly and it will last and function well while looking badass. They do advertise them as undestructable swords lol, so they are also to blame.

    • @AJHart-eg1ys
      @AJHart-eg1ys 2 года назад +1

      @@1995yuda Yeah. Anything's indestructible until it meets a harder thing. At least, if Highlander is to be believed.
      I guess you almost built yourself deniability if you claim it is "indestructible" because that's basically meaningless marketing talk at this point. We all know most things can be destroyed so we kind of ignore that. But if it's advertised to use on vegetables, meat and only the very thinnest of bones, stick to the label and take care of it!
      I was looking at getting a Chinese knife/cleaver a month or so ago. The design is basically the same as these, only it doesn't round over. It's squared off. And it's mostly about blade thickness when it comes to its purpose. Still, I think they said about 80% of them are just for vegetables and SLICING - not forcefully chopping - meat.
      Which brings us to what I'm about to do. Given that we know that maintenance and proper use are the major keys here, I'm going to see if I'm that much worse off if I buy a $20 one on Allilexpress. If I order it now, I may get it by June. :)
      Take care.
