    They should add a sleeping bag that is just a blanket & pillow, so we can actually make our beds... Make one option that's about the width of a single bed and one roughly the width of a queen/king-sized one, and you're golden.

    thank you darth, this guide finally gave me an idea of how to decorate my builds better instead of just having a empty house with a generator, turrets and workbenches.

    My favorite part is that it doesn’t look like u used a lot of glitches to do it. Nice job.

    I’ve always hated the camps people make. I try and go for a lore accurate scavengers cabin and it’s gross when I’m walking down the street looking at bright, pre war and obnoxiously decorated. Yea to each their own but they’re always in the way of a road or right next to a building. You make bases that’ll be lovely to walk through.

    (First build) You can grab the single wall shelf and hide that metal roof glitching through your wall I think it should work there nicely.

    simply breaking up straight lines and big blank spaces is a massive upgrade for a lot of rooms.
    i find myself breaking up areas with at least one interaction item per area and decorating a little in theme to it.
    a couple stash boxes and a themed poster around a workshop item go a long way to making an area working room rather than just "the place i put this green table i make ammo at"
    I love working around the focal point of the room and setting up little areas for stuff. My current Venders are a couple of the robot venders having a garage sale, so they have a little shack (garage) with the back set into two little shops (the western robot sells guns so gun wall racks with weapons on display behind him and lots of medical supplies and dandy boy apples on display behind the Slocum joes vender), but then in front i have three big mats and just piled all sorts of furniture and stash boxes and instrument chairs and a piano like they are just selling a house worth of crap.
    a really good tip is learning how to use displays really helps sell what a room is.
    in my mine i went out of my way to display a bunch of different types of Ore in a room, and put some pickaxes and mole minor gauntlets on the wall near the exit just because those are all mining things and i wanted the air of that theme however i could get. which is a challenge when you are making a mine in a vault shelter XD You need to take every trick to put that message through.

    I absolutely hate how the slanted roofes have overhang but there is no equivalent for flat ones it feels like I can only make pointy roofes or ones that go all the way around... not really related to the video but it's crazy that that is still the case 2 years later

    Awesome build! I caught a bit of the livestream last week. It just so happens I was building a house at the time and I borrowed bits here and there. I'm working to make it my own though. I call it the Dweller's Hideaway, it's Vault-Tec themed and armored up.

      Sounds cool. With a name like that is it hidden away somewhere?

    • @JesusCheeseburger
      @JesusCheeseburger 3 года назад

      @@DarthXionGames Not exactly hidden but it's pretty deep into the bog. It's about due south of RobCo, past the fallen monorail car, east of the Old Mold Quarry. It's on a little peninsula, I call it an island lol, three sides are surrounded with the bog trenches with scrappy bridges connecting it to the rest of the land.
      Let me see if I can post a couple pics or a short vid of what I've got going on so far

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  3 года назад

      I know the area you mean. It's definitely off the beaten path. I like going deep in the forest northwest of Vault 76 for the same reason.

    • @JesusCheeseburger
      @JesusCheeseburger 3 года назад +1

      @@DarthXionGames I'll have to go up there some time and try it out. There's another good out of the way spot in the north northeast of the mire. It has a swamp with mirelurk spawns and a treehouse with a diving board.

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  3 года назад

      That's an interesting idea. It's a long way out though. I really should explore that top right corner. I've not spent much time up there.

    You did a video while back covering portable prefab camps. Was wondering if you could do a similar thing for the new BOS armoury? I’ve been attempting to build one, but can never consistently place the blueprint, not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  3 года назад +1

      I'm planning a BoS camp soon, so I'll probably use that when I do. If you can't move the blueprint afterwards though that could be down to a number of things. External decoration or items on top of each other sometimes cause issues, as can wires on powered objects. It's tough to guess what it might be though.

    How do u get the npc to sit in the chair at the intro? Is that a new ally or random npc?

    • @DarthXionGames
      @DarthXionGames  Год назад

      That's probably my player character tbh, (guy with a grey beard)? I usually have him chilling out in the camp for the intro part of the video. Occasionally camp allies will come and sit next to him though. They randomly use interactive furniture like sofas as they move about the camp.

      Ah... It's one of my old characters. I'd forgotten I used a different one for this. Still, allies do use furniture occasionally too. I had one sit on top of the animatronic cat I'd placed on a sofa a while ago. 😂

      Just south of Morgantown. There's a little T shaped road on the map at the bottom. It's right there.
