What's your favorite moment from Dale Earnhardt?
Winning Daytona in 98 for sure
Everything.
Actually I remember a Bristol night race and there was a incar camera in someone's car facing out the passenger side window and Dale put it on him and passed that car on the outside. It took a lap or 2 but you got a good look at Dale grinding his teeth at Bristol.
I never watched Dale Sr race on television at all when I was younger, but my memory of him is watching him the 1998 Daytona 500 on RUclips.
For me, it's a toss up between winning Daytona and winning at Bristol. I was there to see the Bristol win in person, so as a diehard Earnhardt fan, that was pretty special to me. I live about 15 miles from the track. Back in the 90's, I rarely missed a race in Bristol. Other than Waltrip, nobody could drive that track any better
The day Senna left us, Dale celebrated victory at Talladega and his first words after winning were to offer condolences to Ayrton's family. It was a small gesture, but it showed more appreciation and understanding in a few seconds than anything done between the two sports in the last 30 years.
Not to mention, when the condolence book was shown, it was revealed that Dale signed it in one of the pages. He was a big fan of Senna and would watch his races whenever he had the chance (like that fateful morning at Talladega)
I watched both races. I watched Arytons neck slump and knew. Just like I knew when I saw Kenny look at the car of Dales. That was class of Dale because Senna was huge
Thank God at least Harvick mentioned Dave Marcis
i think he would have at least gotten that 8th cup championship before hanging it up.
He got close in 2000 but there was no guarantee
Hard to say. Problem was RCR..while the cars got better in 2000 (and were decent in 2001) they still lacked race winning speed most of the time. Consistency is a big part of championships..but so are wins. I think he still had the fire..but I am unsure if he would have beaten Gordon in 2001.
RIP Dale
You should do another video about all the times dale helped people, and never spoke a word about it to get credit
That'll be a short video
@@benscovil You would be surprised..
Stroker ace was born to race
