VW CC Flat Bottom Steering Wheel Swap

In this video I swap my steering wheel for an MK7 flat bottom steering wheel. Both 1st Gen and 2nd Gen CC’s follow the MK6 VW products line and should install with no modifications or coding needed. MK7 products will still work however it may require coding with the OBD 11 VaG access port and possibly an additional part. This steering wheel works fine except for the paddle shifters and cruise controls, which can be coded to work but everything else works as demonstrated in the video. If you are installing a steering wheel like this one or an MK6 flat bottom wheel and no buttons work then you will require the clock spring to be replaced. There was a recall for it and if it hasn’t been completed on your car yet VW will do it for free! Thanks for watching I hope this video is helpful to you! 💯

You need special adapter put inside sterring colum spring for Cruse Controll. Because on b6, b7 Cruse Controll its down not in sterring wheel.

Hallo, vielen Dank für dein Video. Ich habe bei meinem Polo (1.2 TSI 2012er) das abgeflachte Lenkrad vom Golf 7 verbaut wie du im Video mit den Multifuntionstasten vom Scirocco und neues Airbag. Alle Tasten am Lenkrad funktionieren nur die Hupe und Tastenbeleuchtung am Lenkrad nicht! Ich hatte schon vorher Multifunktionstasten am alten Lenkrad. Woran kann es liegen dass die Hupe und Tastenbeleuchtung nicht funktionieren? Welche Kabeln hast du wo umgepinnt?

Hey i retrofitted a Golf R steering wheel to my CC (2011) all the lights light up and the horn works but none of the buttons work they only light up, i bought ObdEleven Pro to code it but i have no idea on how to do it, can anybody please help? i live in sweden so my car is manufactured in Germany.

I got it on FB marketplace in the VW cc owners page from a guy parting out his car but if you look up MK7 GLI steering wheel it’s the same one

No they won’t

They actually will, the DSG gear box supports padded. You need a steering wheel with paddle shifters and in VCDS you can program them to work with every other function.
