Hello would you be able to please describe the technique that is used between 22 - 24 seconds? you use it else where as well and it is a classic technique used by u srinivas and I cannot seem to replicate it!. Some sort of combination of hammer on pull of and slide. do you switch strings ay all?
Hi guitarguy1381 , it's a little difficult to describe it in detail. I dont change strings for that particular phrase but like you said, it's a combination of a fast hammer on and pull off with a slight gamaka added to it to enhance the effect. I hammer the 're and come down to sa and then add a bit of ni to it before switching before sa and ni again to give the effect of the Gamaka there. Again, I'm bad at describing exactly how I do it. Probably be better off showing it in person. I guess though that practise Will bring the best results. Hope that helped. :)
Abhay Nayampally Thanks for the input. You are right, I think the precise timing of the hammer on gives it that staccato type gamaka effect. Mandolin srinivas uses this very effectively as well.
Carnatic music much more enjoyable in this minimal style for me. Thank you for sharing.

can tell me which pedal you used?
I use a Zoom MS50 Pedal :)
Amazingly clean and crisp gamakas and technique! Is this the same pedal as Srinivas Ji?
