Hey! Thanks for another great video! This has made me want to go and pick up this game and give it a go. BTW, what is the background music that you play that starts at 14:47
The main question is, does this game have missions? or do you just mindlessly enter the game and play the same boring game over and over again? I like the idea of games like this having missions and objectives for different maps. So it gives it replay value. Most games like this its up to YOU the gamer to put self imposed restrictions which is boring and not fun. Its like playing pretend. I might as well pretend I beat the game and never play it! So does it have missions and such?
Oof, it's $29 where I live. That is really overpriced. This really seems more like a $15 game as it doesn't have a ton of depth currently and needs a lot of polish. Once it's in full release then maybe the current price will be justified.
Berry gatherer? Lumber mill?? BUILDER'S HOUSE???? IS This Timberborn on steroids? Please Matt continue the beaver building as I found your channel through that first ever Timberborn video. It was my first time coming across your channel and also the game.
May I recommend a few games that it looks like you haven't played yet? Could you try Factorio, Satisfactory, Astroneer, AntiChamber, and They Are Billions? Factorio is a 2D top-down automation game, building larger and larger factories. (think Shapes but MUCH more content and refinement). Satisfactory is like a 3D FPS version of Factorio. Astroneer is a fun exploration game on small spherical planets with some crafting and some exploration. AntiChamber is a game that will mess with your head WAY more than Subliminal does. Plenty of architecture jokes in there I feel like. And They Are Billions is a base building, wave defense game that looks a lot like this game (but fixed isometric, and more graphic/sound design) Anyways, just some options or ideas for you!
so not knowing what the name of the game was, i thought it was called "diplomacy" so i read the title as "Using a DEATH RAY to defend my castle in 'diplomacy' is not an option!" thought it sounded a bit odd.
Make a series out of it? "DOOO EEET!" or should I rather say "GET TO DA... TOWER!" Love these defense games though. Reminds me of all those glorious warcraft 3 custom maps and Stronghold games!
2:04 I did some useless math! I realized the population growth rate of the modern world is about 259 people per minute. Multiply by 1440 (the number of minutes in a day) and you get the very large number of 372960. This is Earth's average daily population growth rate. If we divide this by the world population (about 7.954 billion), we get a ratio of (rounding to a whole number here) 21327. If we apply this ratio to your growth rate of 5 people per day, simple multiplication will tell us that your population is 106635. However, this is not the case. I get that there is a lot of exponential growth when it comes to population, but I am making it as simple as possible. I'm not an architect after all...
