It's worked and operating like brand new! Was so close to spending £300 on a new Machine. Thanks so much 👍🏽
Brilliant!
Thanks for this. Saved me (and a lot of other people by the looks of it) a lot of money - I thought I was going to have to buy a new coffee machine until I saw this. Thanks again 😊
Thanks mate...glad it helped.
Thank you so much for posting this my machine was running espresso way too slow so I did this to help clean it up. Soooo helpful thank you!
Glad it helped.
THANK YOU!!! My machine had dripped for years. Ten minutes of work following your instruction - and it is fixed!
Glad it helped.
Awesome guide, thank you! I cant believe how caked up the diffuser was
Thank you so much!
I thought that I was going to have to replace my machine.
This was very easy to do and completely fixed the dripping problem.
Glad it helped.
My neighbour just gave me this exact coffee machine for free because it had the very same leak problem she only bought it brand new a couple of months ago, I followed all the steps on this video and found that the diffuser had spring was completely full of calcium, I cleaned everything thoroughly and adjusted the spring and now it works perfectly with no leak or drips at all, thanks to this video I now have a new coffee machine for free.!! 😁😊
Excellent...glad you got yourself a bargain mate.
@@dmcerrrmmmm I surely did thanks to this video, cheers mate 😊
She must've been a bit pat and mick to give you a Dedica for free. Pretty expensive machines.
Thank you so much for this. I thought I was going to have to return my EC155m but now it's working perfectly
Thanks...so glad it helped.
I cannot express how happy I am to find these videos! I can sort my machine out now. Thank you
So glad they help...just be careful your machine has fully cooled down before attempting the fix.
@@dmcerrrmmmm will do, thank you. 👍🏽
Big thanks for this video instruction! I was about to throw the badly leaking coffee machine away and now it works like a charm!!
+Paul Guess excellent, glad it helped..many thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing this easy fix, in 5 minutes I had no more drip!
Glad it helped.
You're a saviour, this worked perfectly on my EC145. Thank you
Thank you...glad it helped.
Thanks for this great video, just followed your instructions to fix my much loved 18year old Delonghi Treviso Esprsso machine. Now enjoying great tasting (and much hotter) espresso with great crema. Great fix, thank you.
Thank you so glad it helped...wow 18 years old hope my Dedica still going after that long.
Thank you DMC, your tip works perfectly!! and saved us and our Delonghi machine which started to drip a lot of water and now is like a new one!!! 🙏
Thank you...glad it helped.
Holy wow it works! Thank you for posting.
Thank you! I watched this video, put it all back together and it was leaking first time I used it after cleaning. Watched it again. Spring went in upside down. No wonder I had leaks! Amazed I got decent espresso out!
Glad it helped... I did the same thing with the spring first time round.
You are awesome. So thankful for people like you. This fix makes my life better…coffee is very important to me 🙏
Thank you for your kind words...glad it helped.
Thank you thank you.... Never owned an espresso machine. Purchased a used one and following your instructions it works perfectly.
Glad it helped hope you enjoy using your "new" machine.
Very helpful, i did this and instantly had a steady flow again! Thanks man!
Thanks mate...so glad it helped.
I fix my delonghi in few minutes thanks to you. More videous please 🤟
I've had my machine about 12 yrs - did this about 7yrs ago and forgot how to do it- THANKS A MILLION for posting - worked a treat just like the last time I did it (7yrs back) De Longhi Bar 34 - a workhorse - coffee 3-4 times a days for past 12 years + AMAZING value for money! GREAT quality video - well filmed - thanks again.
Thanks mate glad it helped...I like the old delonghi's they are mostly the same inside as the newer models but the build quality was bit better back then... I've just started using an old 860 and it makes coffee exactly like my dedica but looks a lot more premium in build even though the model is over 10 years old.
I have been putting up with my Delonghi espresso machine, leaking, for months. I thought that it was the reservoir so I replaced it. The machine continued to dribble. Followed your simple clear instructions and my machine no longer. Thank you so much :-)
Thank you...so glad it helped.
Thankyou just cleaned mine, followed exactly, drips stopped like a new machine....Well done..
Very helpful, you saved my day :)
This fixed my DeLonghi EC155
Great...glad it helped.
Excellent thank you! This was exactly what the problem was with mine. I've just done exactly what you've shown in your video and the machine is as good as new. No more annoying drip, drip, drippy, drip drip! Top of the class to you Sir!
Thanks for your kind words I'm glad it helped.
Thank you so much! I was putting the rubber in wrong direction, I thought my espresso machine was losing pressure. Salute!!!
Thanks for the video! This fixed my EC-155, which is 8 years old now haha. It was dripping constantly during the heat up mode and now it’s working like new!! Thanks again! ☺️👌
Fantastic I'm so glad it helped.
@hikapika was the 155 also leaking from the steam wand? Did this fix fix that, too?
I don't think so thinking back...I stopped using the steam wand as the dripping would get worse after using it.
@@dmcerrrmmmm ahh, thanks for the info 👍😭
Almost 2024 and this video still working. Thank you. Just to add that after removing the spring it is a good idea to disqualify the internal system. You simply fill the container with water and 100ml of vinegar. Repeat until clean water comes out and rinse.
thanks so much - was about to buy another machine but this fixed it perfectly!
Thank you so glad it helped.
Excellent! Sorted my machine, thanks.
This fixed my dripping machine. Thank you! It was well overdue a clean 🙂
Glad it helped.
@@dmcerrrmmmm 5 minute video saves me £150. Happy happy days. Thank you.
Thank you for your clear instructions. 🙏
Thank you...saved me from buying a new machine and maybe saved the planet a little!
Excellent so glad it helped.
wow, you're fantastic for making this video! Got one of these machines and it was hissing and dripping, making noises all day after making an espresso (even after turned off). Now it's as good as the day I got it
Thank you for your kind words...so glad it helped.
If your machine is “hissing”. It needs to have the excess steam to be purged.
Then to knob right once to turn on. Then when the green light turns on (ready). Turn on the steam nozzle until the steam is purged. Then wait few minutes (let it cool). Turn it on.
It should have stopped with hissing. If not, you’ll need to clean the machine with a solution.
great, this worked also for my ecp35.31. Thank you!
Thank you...glad it helped.
Excellent tutorial, many thanks.
Thank you so much for this video! You saved my leaking machine!
Glad it helped.
I had a drip coffee maker DeLonghi ECP 33.21. The spring was already too compressed. Just a little stretch and...Great, it works! Thank you.
Nice one. Exactly the same setup as the Delonghi BCO 410. Mine was dripping and leaking steam through here when I activated the milk frother, and it was resulting in the frother crapping out a mixture of colder water, not holding pressure and temp. I had to keep waiting for it to build up pressure again. This worked perfectly, thanks. Got a big bunch of limescale flowing out when cleaning it, so I suppose that was mostly the problem, and a bit of grit too..
Excellent I'm glad it helped...
This worked on my Delonghi 702 as well. When I pulled out the spring there was no ball. So I tipped it up and out came the ball. Cleaned it and worked the spring... and VIOLA it's fixed! Thanks DMC :)
Glad it worked...someone else mentioned there was no ball so maybe thats what they needed to do.
How did u replace the ball because i opened it and there is no ball i returned the spring alone and the water coming out every where 😞
@@picatchu07 Check the spring to see if the tiny ball is inside it. If not, you may need to tilt the Espresso Machine left to right to see if it maybe inside the machine. I have spent about a half hour looking for the Ball as a spare part. The part number is #5332112100 You may have to contact Delonghi directly to get it. delonghi.encompass.com/general/Contact-Us
This looks like the part... encompass.com/item/9610243/DEI/5332148400/?gclid=CjwKCAjw34n5BRA9EiwA2u9k3z1aWZsQMhrRDxIKZm6gYfFp3C5Mvd1Y1XiJIe293Tjnq7Zz3Tl9UxoCoe8QAvD_BwE
Worked like a dream, thank you so much.
Thank you for your comments glad that it helped
I can't thank you enough, I bought a used machine on marketplace and as soon as I turned it on it started dripping hard. After following your tutorial it's like new. Thanks a lot again.
Glad it helped.
You are a legend!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this great video!
THANK YOU sir , you're awesome ^_^ i thought i'm going to purchase a new machine. enjoying my coffee now
Glad it helped.
Thank you so much I have a completely different model but the setup was the same. No more drips on my machine as well. 👌🏼
Glad it helped.
I'm so glad I found this video. About to try it soon. Thank you!
Thank you hope it worked.
@@dmcerrrmmmm it did. I got a new spring and ball-stopper since the previous ones were 7 years old. Thanks again. It worked perfectly.
This works well, thank you!
Job done. Thanks a lot
Valuable video. Just did this to mine as it always rains from the group head while the steam is getting up to temp. Now, there's a drip but at least it's not a matter of emptying the drip tray after every latté 🤣😂
Thanks... I eventually stopped using the steam wand because the dripping kept returning.
Thanks for this TIP. It worked for me.
Great...so glad it helped.
Great stuff. Mine had been leaking and sucking back in air for a week. Now all good.
Excellent , glad it helped....
Super helpful. Thanks guy

You are a Genius!!! Thank you!!!!!
Thanks Man!! that really helped!
This worked for me thanks! Even after your warning I was impatient and did it when it was still hot, LOL!
+James Hopkinson lol sore finger tips..I need to do the procedure again but last time I tried the bolt had seized..
TX a lot for the video, i had the same problem!!!
Thanks...glad if it helped.
Thank you! Great job!
Thank you glad it helped.
Worked!!!! Thank you
Thank you for sharing
thank a lot for the video, i followed each step and finally made my old delonghi ec190 work again ! i almot gave it up after many attempts with different descaling products , only this video worked. thank you!!
Thank you for your comments...glad it helped.
Use distilled white vinegar to descale it. Try it in your kettle too and see how amazing it will come up. Only about 50p for a 500 mil bottle!! Way cheaper and better than descale stuff!!
Great tip thanks
@@dmcerrrmmmm it’s ok but I would recommend doing this outside or with windows open because your house will smell strongly of vinegar as you run the vinegar in the machine.
@@dmcerrrmmmm Great idea to use vinegar!
thanks! this kind of works amazingly well :)
So glad it helped.
Wow! Thank you so much!! I was about to throw my machine out! Working fine again! 🎉
Glad it helped.
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much. Very helpful tutorial😍
Glad it helped.
Thanks great job
Not only did this simple repair make my espresso machine functional (it was running so slow, I was almost ready to get a new one), I have crema for the first time in ages with this machine. Thanks a million!
Thanks for your comments...so glad it helped.
Wow what a great video! My machine is running slow and dripping water when heating. I will definitely do this repair!
Hope it helps...make sure the machine is cold and not been used before trying.
very helpful video indeed ! The mushroom like pressure valve shows some ware and can easily be replaced. Take care for the little gunmetal cup that contains is in the spring. Thx again
Thanks for the comments...glad ot helped.
Wow man this fix my machine, thank youuu !!
Glad it helped
Thank you, you saved the day!
Glad it helped.
Great help thanks!
Glad it helped.
Solve the problem on my EC150 👌
Thank you !
Glad it helped.
Thanks mate !!
Good job! Saved me from buying another machine, at least for now.
Glad it helped.
Thank you for this!
My machine was leaking, and I couldn't figure out why. Moved it off the counter and found "some weird spring" under it. Had no idea what it was from so I set it aside. I never would have known this went in, or when the hell I even took it apart for it to have fallen out 😅
Elf on a shelf probably did it lol...Good job you didn't bin the spring when you found...glad it helped.
Very good - worked well with a long-leaking DeLonghi Treviso through the filter cup (with machine on, espressso off, steamer off and hand valve closed).- even the foamer appears more powerful.
I might do to again but try also to clean the hidden SEATING for the plastic ball - maybe a cotton bud, nothing sharp that would etch the presumably metal seating - takes 2 to tango.
Thank you 🙏
Very helpful thanks. Mine started leaking after a year of use and I was told by Delonghi customer support that I'd need to replace the gasket. This has fixed the fault with no new replacement parts.
Excellent...glad it helped.
@@dmcerrrmmmm The real question is how long will it last before you have to do this again?
Thank you very much. I fixed it.
Glad it helped...thank you.
Thank you very easy!
Glad it helped.
Worked perfectly. I just wondered how often you would need to do this going forward and has anyone ever snapoed the spring by stretching it?
EXACTLY the information I needed. Thanks!
(Could have been conveyed in half the time with a bit of editing but why complain?)
Glad it helped!
Zrobiłem jak na filmie. Pomogło 👍
Thanks for taking the time to produce this useful clip. We had gone through the first part only. Hope your finger got back from hell. Viola? 😀 Merci!
Haha...thank you so glad it helped.
thank you !
THANK YOU!!!!!!
nice vid thx!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Thanks for sharing...
Glad it helped.
Great!
Great guide - that sounded more like a synth than a viola near the end though.
Lol...thanks.
me too. top man!
An excellent video! Just did this on my machine and now no drip!
Thanks...so glad it helped.
