Thank You. I love this sunhat. Very easy to understand. I belong to a craft group at my local seniors' centre. This will go into our sale window and I'm sure it will sell quickly. I have subscribed to your channel. Again Thank You.
thank you! i made one for my 1 year old cousin! it came out perfectly! the pattern was really easy to follow, and used stitches i know, as i just started crocheting a few months ago! so thank you!
Thank you very much for this great pattern, I'll be making this for my twin 1yr grand daughters. Keep up with your great tutorials God bless and stay safe. Phyllis from Canada
I followed this exactly with a NO4 Yarn. and a 6mm hook and it fits me and I have a large head. How would I make this to fit a 2 year old boy? I don’t think a 5.5 hook would do it.
If you worked it exactly how I did here in the video it should be able to fit a 2 year old. Some yarns are thicker than others even if they are labeled the same number though. Maybe the yarn you have is on the thicker side. Otherwise I’m not sure what happened there
I had the same issue with a Red Heart yarn. Sizing down to a 5mm/5.5mm and not tight tension would probably be fine since yarn tends to stretch. Going to try it out now actually.
This is so adorable! Thank you so much for sharing this pattern AND your gift of crochet! I really have to say you have such a talent and I'm so glad you share that with us all 😊❤
I’m glad you like the pattern! Thank you so much for your kind words! I love to be able to share with all of you! I’m glad we can all connect through art!☮️💙🎶
Hi, lovely and easy pattern and loved yr calm voice too. I have a 4 ply 100% cotton yarn.I made a crochet frock with 3.5 mm hook and it came out well. Using it how can I make the same hat.should I start with more number of double crochets.Pls guide me.
@@dorrindaisajiw6159 mine was still flat until I got to the sides of the hat. It started to take shape when I started the body of the hat. (Tightening your stitches might also help)
hi! i’m currently on row 9, and i noticed my stiches were only 35 instead of 36. i rewatched your video several times and i followed every step. i can’t redo the stiches from row 7 since i added a new ball of yarn, i’m a beginner and i’m afraid the whole thing will fall apart if i try to redo it lol. do you think it will it affect the succeeding rows so i have to make some adjustments or will it be fine? please let me know! thanks so much!
@@TheCraftNut actually it’s all good, i just finished the hat and it looks great! i was worried because i was missing a stitch from row 7-11 (i only had 35 instead of 36), but it didn’t really affect the rest of the hat. this was my 3rd project and i’m going to give this to my niece, thank you so much for the tutorial! ❤️
Ok I would use a size hook or two sizes bigger than what is recommended for the yarn! ☺️ the video also gives instructions on how to make it bigger if you need to. So if you choose a hook, start making it and it’s too small there are instructions on how to go from there to make it bigger without taking it all out ☺️ and of course! Glad to help! ☮️💙🎶
It’s always so hot when I go to the beach or wherever with my sister (she’s 2) and she hates the heat and sun so I thought it was a good idea to make this….
Some yarns - even if they say they are the same weight are a little different in weight and that will effect it. Your tension also plays a big factor. If it came out quite stiff that could tell you. But not you can just work more rounds until it’s the size of the head that you need. Then work the sides ☺️☮️💙🎶
@@pattybennett2085 different yarn size, hook size and tension will create different outcomes. it would be better to measure yours as you go to make sure you have the correct size
Counts for 72 and 86 not working. Tried over and over. You people with the perfect hat obviously must not be counting. Ugh.4 yarn, 6mm hook. I am not a beginner.
Thanks. It’s so easy. Within two hours I completed a baby hat. May God bless you.
I love that! Thank you so much! May he bless you as well 💙☮️💙🎶

I really enjoyed making this with you! I just hope it fits the 2 year old great daughter of my friend! I did use a H-hook since I crochet loosely!
Does this pattern work for adult hats? If I just make the top circle bigger but follow the same steps after that? I LOVE this pattern/tutorial!!!!!

Hi, thank you for that beautiful tutorial. May i know what is the size of the top of the hat?
I would like to know this aswell
I'm making this and on row 5 it's still flat. I used the magic ring as well
Are you using the same hook and yarn? Also round five is still the top and should be somewhat flat

Worsted weight 4? Cotton? Acrylic? Cause acrylic is much thicker then a 4 Cotton.

You say 19,5" around. Is that the rim around or before the rim?
That’s the size around the head ☺️☮️💙🎶
but what is the measurement of just the top of the hat
