Vegetarian for 30 years and wfpb for ten years. I am 69 now and have never been so fit and healthy in all my life. Cheese and eggs can put on the pounds for vegetarian folks! Now colds and flu are very very rare. Thank you for your channel! It IS frustrating when some people prefer illness to health because they fear change. But wfpb food does taste great! Not just ok. It tastes better than high fat animal food.

Well done, Brittany! 👏🏻👏🏻❤️ I’m in my mid 50’s now and have been overweight the majority of my adult life. My mom passed when I was 10 due to a myocardial infarction (heart attack) at age 47 and my dad though he lived to be 81 he had numerous health issues throughout his life. I could wish that I found the WFPB lifestyle when I was younger but am so glad to have found it now in my 50’s. I actually feel like I should have felt in my 20’s. My knees no longer hurt. My BP and resting heart rate are down as is my weight. I find myself wanting to scream it from the rooftop every day. Instead, I just try to lead by example. My husband is a skinny omnivore but now he eats meat less than one time a month. So I take that as a victory. Reminding him that I want my 50 years with him!
Your channel is an inspiration. You took control of your health and now are enjoying the benefits of the WFPB lifestyle. Kudos to you! Thanks for sharing your story!

I want to take a moment to tell you how much of a difference you're making in the world with your channel. I'm a long time vegan for ethical, climate, and health reasons (with a strong emphasis on whole foods). Other people have always viewed my lifestyle as 'complicated' and have constantly asked me if I'm deficient in just about every nutrient out there. In the past, even I started to wonder if I might be doing something that wasn't good for me. And yet... over the years, my blood work always came back perfect. I never struggled with weight. I had great skin and hair quality. I aged more slowly than my peers. I had incredible athletic endurance and never napped. Also of note, my dad reversed a heart condition by enrolling in Dean Ornish's whole foods plant based program a few years ago. I deeply wish that everyone out there truly understood what a big deal eating this way is, and how it can improve (and even save) their lives if they commit & stick to it like you did. You may not be able to get your message through to your own dad, but trust me - you're reaching others who will listen, and you may even end up saving their lives. Thank you for working hard to shed light on a way of eating that could literally save the world if enough people got on board.

Never stop talking about the benefits of whole food eating, Brittany. My journey was similar to yours, though I was 66 and had a heart attack and stent. I watched the same documentary you did and it changed everything! In one year, I'd completely reversed my heart disease and was off all of my heart meds. I made sure my cardiologist knew what my goals were and even though he knew nothing about nutrition, he didn't lecture me and has been supportive. Now I see him once per year for my annual visit. Today, I'm 72 and feeling better than I did even in my 30's and 40's. It's like a fountain of youth. God bless you!

Hi Brittany...my husband and I have been watching your channel for awhile now. Your recipes are great and your enthusiasm is infectious. I’m sending this video to a friend who just got a bad report from her doctor...high cholesterol, fatty liver disease, etc. plus she’s been gaining weight (she’s in her early 50’s). I think she’s ready to take control of her life and get healthy. She doesn’t like to read and has a very busy stressful life working for CPS, so videos are perfect for her. Thanks for caring about others and doing your part to help them discover their health. I really relate to you because I’m only 4’ 11” tall. Any extra weight shows up on my small boned frame. I’m getting very serious now to lose my 20-25 extra pounds. Plus I was recently diagnosed with macular degeneration (I’m 75) and I’m hoping that by going heavy on all the super colorful veggies and fruits I can slow the progression of this disease and possibly even stop it. Anyway, I thank God for you, Brittany. Keep up the great work. Blessings to you and your husband....and your puppies!

You are wise beyond your years. I too have been dealt a lousy hand genetically. Cancer, heart disease, extremely high cholesterol doesn't run, it gallons through both sides of my family. My Dad died 1993 after suffering for years with all of the above. My oldest sister had several strokes ending up disabled in a nursing home around at 60 years of age. This Jan she was found deceased, she had another stroke, she was 71. In Feb my Mom, who had vascular dementia for 27 years, passed away a week before her 97th Birthday. For over 40 years I've tried very hard to eat well and avoid going down the same road. Sadly I now realize that a lot of the "good things" that I was doing were harmful. At 68, I have multiple heart issues. However after 30 years of not being able to lose weight, I have lost almost 60 lbs in not quite a year. I'm totally WFPB. I finally understand how and what to eat.
Your journey has inspired me as I've watched over the last year. I'm sorry sorry about your Mom. I understand the frustration, as well as the helpless feelings of seeing what your Dad is going through. It really hurts to have to watch.
    You are so appreciated.

I was actually vegan for a year then started back eating meat. I had a rude awakening. My CRP was very high and so was my LDL'S and Triglycerides was extremely high too. I decided to go Vegan and Whole food plant based as well. I am waiting for my Angiogram results to come back (just had testing yesterday) but I am excited about this new journey and thank you for being transparent and sharing your story!!!! 💞

Thanks so much for sharing! Another thing to consider: when you eat plant-based you are eating food that is given to you by nature and not taking the life of any beings (similar to those puppies) to indulge yourself.

I had similarly bad blood lab work when I was 23. I ignored it not really realizing how bad it was. My mom was hospitalized last year due to heart problems and her blood pressure was over 260 over 190. Luckily she survived and is slowly getting better.
I'm glad I was able to learn about WFPB diets and how quickly they can promote help. I'm only a couple months into eating WFPB and look forward to the continuation of good health.
    Awesome video, and very reassuring!

You guys are awesome. I think for people like me I look at the whole picture and feel overwhelmed, what I need is the actually starter shopping video. A plan to slowly build up at least my supplies to make a healthy change. Because it ain't easy when your surrounded by bad misinformation and stores filled with unhealthy choices. Thank you. At least I'm starting to buy vegetables more than processed things.

Wow Brittany! You may have just saved my life! I am a 60 year old woman with Type 2 Diabetes, kidney disease, and Barretts Esophagus. I was always a very tall and thin girl but after I started antidepressants at age 38, The weight just kept coming. Now that I’m on insulin, it’s even harder to get the weight down. Today I made myself go walking for the first time in a long time because swimming wasn’t helping the weight problem at all. My dear friend watch the same film that you did and has now started a plant-based diet for the past few years and I am beginning to think that if it helped you so much, I should try it too. So many people I know are on that magic coffee diet and are losing weight very quickly but with my kidney disease, I don’t dare drink anything that could be dangerous to the kidneys. You have really motivated me to change my eating habits honey and I appreciate it very much! You are a true inspiration and I think we are neighbors as I live in Greensburg!🤗 I will continue watching you present your recipes is everything always looks delicious. Thank you again!

Megan, listen to this young lady she has done her research. A little about me...I was VERY overweight and VERY sick probably far worse than you are and I tried everything. about 5 years ago my body gave out and I became home bound. I began to study more deeply. I researched EVERY position not just plant based (because frankly I wanted meat and dairy to win because I have loved them my whole life). I read literally hundreds of scientific studies read books, studied for almost 5 years and invested about 1500 hours or more in my research. Finally in May of last year all the data came together and it became VERY apparent that whole food plant based with minimal or no Salt, oil and refined sugar was the most health promoting nutrition program. That is what her channel educates on, I have the education and have been 100% plant based since May 2018 lost over 150 lbs in that time and am gaining my life back one day at a time You can too... just do NOT listen to all the noise that may tell you this is not the best solution for health. I believe it is and suggest you follow her and pay attention you will get the best results!

Brittany, this is one of my favorite videos! I’m so thankful that you have found this wonderful way of restoring your health. I will pray that your father will see that his health can improve as well! Thank you for encouraging your listeners to follow your example. My twin is the one that steered me and my husband onto the whole food plant based diet. I still struggle with temptation to eat sweets, but feel much better after changing my diet.
