Great Job Chris!! Still waiting for Spring but I will live through these vids till then Sir! Floating in a 12 Square foot office for starters lolol.....take care and great tips!!
I have a treaded Hoosier tire which likely is less suited for practicing easier 180s etc on.. Is there a better surface for practicing this on with a treaded tire? Ps. I'm Justin and we met at Burning Man on the way out to the group ride..Thank you 🙏
justinspirational hey man! Great to catch up with you here! You can do 180s and 360s even with a treaded tire on any surface if you get down the two most important aspects: get really light on your feet, and turn everything else first with your feet going last. To make it easy to start with, try wet grass or really smooth polished concrete.
I wanted to ask you about fang wheels for the front of the one wheel? I totally understand that it's not a fix-all as far as getting hurt but but in your opinion do the fan Wheels really help in a nosedive and can you explain maybe elaborate in your opinion I'd really appreciate it
RIDE w/ PRIDE they can help, so I think they’re worth having. Best to still try to learn the best way to deal with a nosedive situation and have a good stance. I tested one of the very first prototypes and they were promising but the newest ones are CNC aluminum and look to be really strong. Don’t expect them to save you from everything, but I’ve seen a lot of people claim that the Fangs saves them from a nosedive so I think it’s not a bad idea.
@@Onewheeel Thanks Mate...can you believe I still didn't order the XR all the while I have the money to go for it? When you put 1,800 physical cash in your hand and tell yourself that it is going for JUST ONE WHEEL....LOL It is hard to part with.......hahahahahaha I should JUST DO IT (Nike Commercial)?
You had mentioned to me about 16 miles an hour being safe so can I please ask you a question that I asked you in another video you didn't reply I know you busy should I buy the one wheel pint that does 16 miles an hour at six to eight miles in distance? Or should I go for the one-wheel XR that goes further in distance because that is something that I would be interested in more, I would appreciate any suggestions you can make for me as I'm still indecisive as to what I plan on doing about purchasing any onewheel at this time thanks Rich😎🤙
RIDE w/ PRIDE if you're worried about safety I'd go XR all day. It has more power in its battery so it will keep you upright more easily than the pint will. Limit your speed yourself instead of using the boards capability as a limit. If you want to actually ride at 16 mph the XR will do that for you.
@@AdamHillikerLikesRobots As always terrific advice from someone who uses the board on a daily basis. I'm glad I subscribe to your Channel because I've really learned a lot about the one-wheel XR. And for that I'm going to make a purchase to the XR thanks again for your time I know you're busy making great videos for your viewers and I wait to look forward to the next video you make. Have a good day🤤🤙
Definitely go with the XR. The Pint looks fun, and cool if you are a small person and on a budget, but the XR is the full-featured real deal. The range is huge. 6 miles really isn't that much. The Pint will be good for quick little rides but the XR does everything and does it well.
Alex Sky coming soon! I have it recorded, just need to finish editing. Going down curbs will be released next week and going up curbs will come after that.
Chris, your 101 videos are the best I've ever seen. You definitely have a mastery of the Onewheel. Can you please redo your 101 videos for the Pint? There may be differences between the the Pint and the larger one onewheels that affect the manoeuvres you depict in your 101 videos. For example, size of the board, size & shape of the tires, whether Simplestop is engaged ect. I only have a Pint and would appreciate the guidance and I'm sure other Pint owners would too. Thanks, Mike from Tampa.
Thanks so much for your input! I will try to get a video done of the differences, I do have a quick review of the Pint on my channel from when I first got it. The Pint operates almost the same as the XR, it just feels smaller and nimbler. I turned off simplestop as soon as possible, I think it's better to just learn how to dismount. I love my Pint, I hope you've been enjoying yours!
I really liked it a lot and it was my first Onewheel. However the one thing that was bothering me was that I constantly had range anxiety to the point where I bought an Ultra charger for it and ended up stopping off at Starbucks to charge, and I don't even drink coffee, but I would buy it anyway. So comparing a Onewheel to a car, I had the idea this past weekend to trade in my pint on a new XR from a local dealer here in Tampa. Which I did. Now I'm enjoying the XR and it's extended range and smoother off road riding. I do miss the Pint though.
@@MICHAEL-sr5ni If I could only have one board, it would definitely be the XR, but I would miss my Pint too. The Pint is great, but the XR does everything well and goes forever! The only thing you can't do with the XR is legally fly in a commercial plane.
Just started landed curb nudges. These tips will help to tackle that next trick. 180s are very functional which is what I'm after. Thanks again.
180 was next thing I was going to learn. And you posted this awesome video. What a nice coincidence. Thank you.
Now go get it, and let me know how it goes!
thanks for making this video!
very comprehensive and thorough.
I really like your teaching style, Chris! 🤙

Thanks for the video, sir. Now that you’ve explained it it seems so obvious that this is how I should e tried breaking it down.
Awesome video, great explanation. 180 is the next thing I wanted to try to get down
Re-watching this as I try to learn, and it’s so incredibly helpful!

Jump phase is known as unweighting taking as much weight off the board used in surfing' skateboarding
