I'm here to counter the nasty comment about not looking pretty when you eat and talk... Thank you for showing off that delicious sandwich. Thank you for some new lunch inspo. I will be trying that. Bring it on, Chef Chad.
You know how much I love your channel! It’s so refreshing and encouraging! You’re such a delight to watch! You truly light up my days and bring so much joy into my life. I cannot thank you enough for being who you are 🤎🍂👏
Green: assignments for us Red: encouragement Orange: reference to other places in bible Yellow: who God is, His character Purple: Gods promises for us Blue: a prayer/about prayers
ayee I needed that quote, Chad!!! I’ve felt so “burnt-out” without doing much, but I moved about a year ago from OR to GA and I’ve felt so worried about all the “whys” or “how’s.” I noticed I’ve felt very little joy and “spark.” but I know I’m where I’m supposed to be for now
My color coding: Green: warnings and things I should flee from Blue: law and things I should strive to do better Yellow: God speaking or things that reveal who God is Purple: context that is important for the book Pink: thankfulness and praise
I keep my color code pretty simple: Yellow for things that stand out to me including God's characteristics Orange for any boundaries or warning Blue pen when God speaks :)
I just started highlighting and making notes in my Bible and what a difference it has made to my studying time! There is a little book from The Daily Grace Co. called Bible Highlighting Guide that was really helpful for me to figure out what exactly I wanted to highlight as I was going through and studying! This is what I ended up going with: Green - character of God Orange - redemption Blue - commands (to do good) Pink - commands (to avoid sin) Grey - union with Christ Purple - Trinity Sage - pray Peach - underlined words (that I wanted to make notes on and then had a line go from the word(s) to my note) Copper - verses not found in the original manuscripts (such as John 7:53-8:11) I hope this is helpful! And I’m excited for you to grow deeper in wisdom through studying the Word of God! ☺️
Personal Bible color code: (really personal haha): light pink for things that touch my heart (usually verses that have to do with love / worship), yellow for things that are joyful and about light, turquoise about hope and peace, green for things that are empowering and about the gospel, light purple for all things about wisdom, orange: all the things that are warning or are really serious ... - haha hope this makes sense. have been doing this the past 7 years and it's funny to come over verses that I would totally highlight different now. (I also do this in the Bible app which is funny). Hope this gives an idea 🤍🤍
my colour code … pink : anything that I can personally apply to my life as a women of God purple : sin blue : the attributes and promises of God green : principals and the way we should live our lives orange : important names / people yellow : more for the new testament when the old testament is referred :)
i got mine from coffee and bible time. it’s: yellow: prayers in the Bible green: commands and action steps orange: main ideas blue: God’s promises purple: who God is. names, characteristics, and actions
Also Phil 4:19 says “My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches” God already has the provision for you guys. Like it says, make your request known with thanksgiving … for anyone who asks receives (matt7.8) for those who fear him lack nothing(psalms 34.9) so you lack nothing. I pray you enjoy your new journey and all the changes and challenges that come with it.
Second time mom here and some advise, don’t stress over nap times. Kids don’t get consistent with naps till after 1 maybe closer to 2yrs. Just go with the flow if they are tired lay them down, not all naps and wake times will be the same every day. Just saying this from experience with my first I stressed about naps and how long they took or they wouldn’t go to sleep. If you are out with the family during a nap time just go with it they will learn if they are tired they can fall asleep in a stroller, car seat or whatever.
my color code right now: blue: things that stick out to me orange: repeating themes/phrases/words then I use (, [ and arrows to point out similarities, opposites/ironies...etc.
I also do a highlighting method for my bible!! Blue - anything relating to God (speaking, characteristics, miracles) Green - prophecy Purple - prayer/praise Orange - location A different shade of purple - author Pink - audience Grey - commands
Purple: promises of Yahweh Pink: things that are extra special to me personally Blue: attributes of Yahweh Yellow: things that need extra exclamation points, attributes of the Spirit Orange: sin + warnings // attributes of Yeshua Green: things pertaining to my husband
I don’t use a color code but my husband does! One color is attributes about God, one is His teachings, one is who He says I am and one is just random verses that resonate w him
Kay Arthur, who is like an OG women's bible study teacher with a bunch of study books published... SHE is like the inventor of the colors and shapes coding for Bible study. I'm pretty sure her system is at the front of each of her books.
My current color code is: blue for anything that is said about God, the Father; then green for anything that pertains to us believers/Christians and then I use a lighter pink and a darker pink just to set apart different passages that I also want to highlight, but that don't relate to a specific topic. Additionally I use underlining. So I guess it goes like this: Underlining mostly for interesting factual information; light pink for something that stands out on a deeper level, darker pink for something that's even more striking and important than the light pink I used on that page so far, and then blue and green as mentioned above. What I also think is really cool to do, is to read through the bible with different research questions in mind. It usually takes me 1 to 1 1/2 years to read through one bible translation (btw highly recommend doing this, and it's not that hard at all if you use a great plan. If one is a bit slower paced or in a season in life where it's a struggle to take much time for reading, it might take two years but hey, that's still such an accomplishment and SO rewarding to grasp God's word in its entirety! 🙂🙏🏼) - In that case you could use colors for your different research questions, e.g. anything about the Holy Spirit in one color, about God promises to us believers in another, the role of women in yet another etc.
Thanks Chad for the encouragement! That's really great to state that back to simplicity and not overthinking. That really spoke to me today. I like that its a long video. It also remembers me back to what you said about opinions of people in another video not long ago. That was also really helpful. My thoughts on a colorcode systems, i think they are extremely helpful! :D I have just a really simple one like green and yellow and i highlight and colorcode especially lines that talk about the love of god and ones that are encouraging so that i see directly where they are if i need some encouragement. My pastor recently talked about a great colorcoding system and it works like this: yellow for passages that describe characteristics of god, red for passages about love, purple for sin, multicolor for promises, blue for faith and passages about the holy spirit, green for requests/calls/prompts, pink for keywords, brown for other statements.
As a mum of 2 boys who was anal about wake windows. My tip is 2 get them back up if they aren’t asleep within 15-20 minutes. If you put them down too early and expect them to lay there for 30-40 minuses they get restless and then start to fight it. I get them up for 15 minutes and let them reset and get any wriggles out. Then I’ll try again. Also if I have to be somewhere, I would leave 30 minutes earlier, put them in the car and go for a scenic drive/park in the shade and let them car nap on the way. That way you don’t have to reschedule plans and they get a 30-40 minute nap in. If it’s a leap I’ll heavily rely on car naps 😂 sometimes its the only way.
I do color code but having the same system for the entire Bible seems overwhelming to me? Idk. So I sometimes color code within one book of the Bible and then another book will have a complexly different system. I find that I need to focus on different things in different books, so I like having a color coding system that's unique for each of them. Hope this helps :)
Hmm🤔 I wonder if it would be possible for y'all to try to do a daily vlog for a week just to try and give an idea of what a week looks like for y'all. Just curious. Love watching y'all's videos. I'm not sure what else to say since I watched this before I'm about to go-to sleep. It feels like I could say something else but I'm not sure how to do it because of my sleepiness so maybe I'll watch this again tomorrow then decide what it was that I may have wanted to say. In the mean time I hope that y'all have a good one. Have fun take care
My color code is; yellow for very important things I want to make sure I see. Pink: promises and prophecies in both when God promises, and also when he answers. Purple: verses to remember. Green: God’s character or attributes. For example, God is love. And blue: important names, dates or just anything else😂
I have set a colour coding system ever since I was a baby Christian and I use it on my physical bibles and digital bibles Orange: Command from God Green: Sin/Warning Purple: anything relating to spiritual warfare Pink: Promises from God Red: God's love Yellow: attributes of God Blue: general / anything note worthy that doesn't fit in the other categories Brown: Prophecies
There are so many colour codes and there was a stage where I did not do it any more as I felt overwhelmed and it made me compare my Biblestudy to others... am I doing it correctly. This was until I made my own by comparing how a certain colour made me feel and then what I thought of... yellow - praise orange - prophecy & commands pink - love green - faith/ growth blue - when God/Jesus speak purple - attributes/characteristics of God brown - sin
Can you guys do a video discussing the matter of - know what/ when or where God has called you to do/ go? For example if I was in your shoes I would struggle wondering if God really did call me to move. I’m not trying to put that in your mind I’m simply impressed with your guys decision making process in figuring out where Gods calling you guys. I would like to hear more about that if your able.
Tori and Chad! I am on here again to give you guys some more Godly wisdom. I just read on Google the scripture in Phillipians where the Apostle Paul is telling the church to be content in whatever circumstances that you are in. God knows that you miss your friends in Tennesse and that is understable and human nature but I feel so strongly that it is not His will for you guys to move at this time. You are being lead by your emotions. They are very high right now and it's causing you to flip-flop back and forth. If you were going to move, why would want to make the guest bedroom where your mom stays so beautiful when she is only to be there for a month or two. I know that being close to your friends brings you peace but it's going to feel peaceful because it is your comfort zone and familiar. I've been watching videos about being isolation because I have been in it myself but God puts us in isolation for different reasons. He wants us to concentrate on Him, he protects us from certain people, and we need to rest our bodies. Being out of our comfort zones can be hard and uncomfortable but this is why God led Tori to Phillipians yesterday during her Bible time. He's trying to stress to you both to be content in your circumstances right now. It's not God's will for you to move. If you want to build a community in Florida, you can find a big church that has a lot of people and a nursery for Micah. Tori there might mom's clubs where they have play dates too. That children's museum was great for him, as well. What would guys do if all of your friends left Tennesse? Would you just follow them? You need to plant your roots and stop bouncing around like bunny rabbits because you have a young infant. Wait until Micah gets older. You need to put your emotions aside and get out of the way. Let God show you His will for your lives, not your own. Yes, God gives us the desires of our heart but only if they line up with His will. If you were being drawn to Tennessee, then why was it so important for you have Micah at home? There are so many contradictions that you are both are saying and it is not God. God does not flip-flop back and forth. You both really should seek Godly counsel on this. That's why you shouldn't make huge life changes when you emotions are very high. Emotions can be erratic! I even dreamed about you guys last night. That's how you heavy you have been on my heart. I'm not saying these things to hurt you guys. I'm just trying to give both Godly wisdom. Get out of your heads and truly listen to what the Lord is telling you. Lean NOT to your own understanding! It can lead you down the wrong path!
It’s unfair of you to tell someone else that you do not know personally that what they are doing is not God’s will . as a Christian you can and should pray that they would seek God’s will for their family, but you do not get to tell them they are wrong because you “think” they are being emotional or you “think” they are not making the right decision.
@@mikaylacouch6750 It is what the Lord showed me. You don't have to know someone personally to know them by the Spirit. God gives people words of knowledge about someone or people. I also told them to pray it back to the Lord and to seek Godly counsel.
What a sad devolution this couple has done. I thought your Florida house was your “dream house“? I guess it wasn’t and now “God is leading you to a bigger and better place“ sorry, but this couple has gone off the deep end.
